Wish I could do all my commuting at 8/9 in the evening. A journey that could possibly take up to 2 hours in rush hour took me 40 mins :(

Makes the journey so much easier and nicer when the roads are quite. I leave for cork at 5.30 am and am up there before 7.30 with the road fairly quite until you get near cork and even then they are fine. If I left at 7am it would mean sitting at the blocked up dunkettle interchange for 30-45 minutes. It's just not worth it I'm not able for trafic at all I just get sick of it as I'm not use to it I suppose.

God help us - if people get breakdowns negotiating the roundabout there - id hate to think how they got on BEFORE the roundabout was put in.

I assume that's the one by the Courtney lodge your talking about????

Roundabout a massive improvement there imo

Thats the one. Really solved the problem when you were trying to get out from the Dromcollogher side to the main road for the people who know how to use the damn thing. It had a bad start in life when an Integra (local youngfella owned it) plowed straight through it the week after it was built and destroyed all the new signage

Ah no just Monday's sorry meant to say that it's not really a commute. I stay up during the week and come home on a Thursday/ Friday depending on lectures. I'll be commuting from April for placement everyday but 30 minutes / 25km each way is nothing really.

I've heard putting a few bowls of rice in can help absorb the moisture but they probably arent as effective as the silica I don't know though.

What's the joke about putting a wet phone into rice? Obvs it's so it'll absorb the moisture, but it's believed the rice will attract Indians which will in turn fix the phone :pac:

So here's the RC040's I bought the other day!

    Genuine BBS 2 piece.
They needed a little clean but nothing crazy!

    338288.jpg

I am undecided on the colour, I'd like to try getting them powdercoated gold.
Not the subaru almost yellow but that pale bbs gold.
It'd look well against the blue of my car.

    This colour!

I spent like 30 mins on this and the results were serious!
Once I split them and send the centres to be powdercoated the rims will be much easier polished, this was just a free hour to see what could be done!

What colour is the car itself?

Can't say I'm mad about the gold :o Very 'in da hood' looking. (thats just my opinion, though, of course)

EDIT: The picture I put here didn't seem to work, so here's a different one...

The wheels themselves are nice, though. :)
(and if it helped you get a lady like the one in the picture! I think I'd be painting my wheels, too!)

    Thanks for the opinion KKV,

As I said I'm not stuck on that colour, just an idea that I am toying with!
I may go for a darker almost black grey either! Or plain silver!

    Tough decisions!
    Here's the car...

Any pics online of a bmw, same colour as your car and same alloys and the gold colour just to get an idea of what they would look like.

    Ohhh yb :o

    Not gold anyway :o
    Wouldn't do it for me.

From looking at the pictures, I can see where Gold came from. Looks like it could be a nice contrast against the navy blue. But I don't think I'd be crazy about it myself, in complete honesty.

Would a glossy black work? (and some window tints, to tie it all in?).

I'll have to see, as said I'm looking at millions of pics!

    That's in serious contention too!

    See above post man :)

I'm not a fan of tinting windows at all!

    I vote the dark centres!!

If the car was oxford green i'd say gold though.

Yeah I like the black more than the gold. I think the gold requires the fogs to be yellow'ed too (to help it all tie in a bit better).

Can I ask why you're against window tinting? It's generally the first thing I do with a car (not just for appearance, but also for privacy). I do think cars look better with tings most of the time though.

I think the gold looks good, but have you centre caps for yours? Or did you mention you were getting new ones.

Its very rare I see a car that I think the tinted windows suit!
I like the open look, car has a nice creamy grey interior that really shines.

There's a lovely bright feel inside, I'd hate to take from it!

I'm going to see is there any other possibilities but that pic of the dark grey has me almost won on that colour now!

I see what you mean the black looks good but that is a black car Ybfocus car is navy/blue so gold I think would look better.

Another for the darks :) I reckon I'll be shunned if I go gold :)

I have centres but they are graphite like the wheels.
If I go black or gold the silver centres have a lovely contrast so Id be getting a new set :)
