I read an article in a newspaper interviewing someone called Eucharia - fairly messed up name. It went on to explain that she was named after the Eucharist, that would be my life ruined.

River Phoenix' parents they called their kids:

River Jude, Rainbow Joan of Arc, Joaquin Raphael (changed his name to "Leaf" for a while), Libertad Mariposa (Liberty Butterfly) and Summer Joy.

Also, it's worth noting their last name was Bottom until they decided to change it to Phoenix.

People who have the same first name as surname e.g Robert Roberts,Donald McDonald,Martin Martin etc.Id shoot my parents if I had a name like that.

And I think somebody on the today FM news is called McGay or something.Poor dude.

Did you ever read the likes of The Times?When they are talking about parenting or education there is always an interview with an upper class parent or columnist with kids whos names are Elwood,Monty,Sebastian and a host of other names last popular with lords and ladys of the 15th century.These people are total spanners-theyre worse than these skangers who call their daughters names like Britney and Shakira.

i go to a predominatly protestant school and its filled with these moronic double-barrelled names (apparently its cos when families marry and the wifes family is of particular "stature", they join the name to the husbands...:rolleyes: )

I had to go through these lists of 1st years a while ago.. heres some examples.

The French government has a review body for what names parents want to give kids. I joke you not. It's to prevent people naming their kids things like "chair" and "sink" which one family tried.

look in your phone book and see is there people with the second name squirrel. If there is look for one whos first name starts with A, andrew anthony etc.
If there is phone the number and ask to speak to a squirrel. you know... for the laugh.

Irish names can be cool though. Those two for example are really nice. Of course, there are Irish names, that I find both weird, and not nice. Roise being one of them (pronounced Raw-sha). Caemin being another.

There's a client of ours called Willy McGee (I kid you not).

I tend not to notice weird names when people are introduced to me unless they're really long or weird sounding. Maximillian for exampe.

Dweezel's a class guitarist, theres some guitar strings that say as used by Dweezel Zappa

Yup im a Zappa fan, check the signature "muffin man" what a song

As for the weirdist name in showbiz is it bob geldof who has a daughter named tiger lilly?

To be fair to wacko, that's only a nickname. His kid's real name is Prince Michael II. Not a huge improvement over blanket, but I know which one I'd certainly prefer
