Mistranslated from an English hummus recipe.

I think what LVG said today was a cover and hopefully its being said to give the defence he has there some confidence, Saying that they are good enough. There could be something in the back of his and their minds about the Leicester away game, and he doesn't want to make a move till after the match.

In reality thats just what I am hoping anyways and we can bring in someone like Hummels over the next few days.

Any creditable German sources regarding Hummels

At least we will be decent to watch by switching back to 4 man defense. Hopefully Di Maria plays as LCM and Herrera as RCM.

Herrera should play every game. It's so obvious what he brings to the team. With Carrick out Blind will be the DM, Fellaini might play instead of Herrera as he offers physical presence but Herrera should get chance at least as #10.

Back to 442 it is then -

ProF, your man Jack Cork has signed for Swansea for just 3 million. Surprised that he was sold so cheaply as he was decent player for them.

Is that from yesterday? I can only hope.

Well he's no Leon Britton so the fee is always going to be shy of 30 million

    That hair!

Good news on the return to 442 all the same. Interesting to see how Rooney will be deployed.

"It's very important to also create chances, and like you said, we're not creating many chances. So now I return to the 442 shape, but I hope we keep the balance."

Like Unearthly says, his contract is up soon.

Any time I've seen him this season his passing seems to have really regressed, I don't know was it a confidence thing or what. Swansea is the right club for him to get back on track.

    Good man.

Will have to wonder who is going to be dropped here, probably be between Mata and Falcao.

    De Gea
    Rafael - Jones - Rojo - Shaw
Valencia - Herrera - Blind - Di Maria
    RVP - Rooney

Will we see this against Leicester?

Does your memory not stretch back to last September? It'll be a rigid 3-5-2 unfortunately.

Does your memory not stretch back half a dozen posts?

Steve Bates says that Herrera won't start. The team lined up the following way in training:

De Gea, Shaw, Rojo, Jones, Valencia, Blind, Januzaj, Rooney, Di Maria, Falcao, van Persie

I'd have Falcao in for RVP. Ander Herrera hasn't started for us since December 2nd, which is a fúcking disgrace in my honest opinion.

Louis, when asked about the future of Herrera earlier today...
    LVG wrote:

“You are always asking about the player who is not playing,” he said.

“Three weeks ago it was (Radamel) Falcao. Next week it will be about another player who is not playing. It is unbelievable.

“I can only line up 11 players.”

When Herrera’s £29m price tag was mentioned, Van Gaal insisted that should not be an issue in whether he plays or not.

“It is not so interesting that you talk about the pounds (fee paid),” he added.

“Paddy McNair is also important and he cost nothing, so I do not agree.

“I am not discussing this (the omission of Herrera) with you.”

Ok, I'm still liking his method of dealing with the media, especially compared to Moyes, but there are some questions that aren't just for the purpose of journalists filling column inches; Fans would like clarification on some points from our manager, especially ones like 'Why is the most creative CM we've had for many years relegated to the bench and currently couldn't get a start for Man United at a soccer blitz?'

Well and good if our MF was firing on all, or even most, cylinders in Herrera's absence. I could see a little bit of reason in the madness then, but IMO LVG does not rate Herrera and therefore there is currently no future at the club for Ander.

TL:DR - 'A-n-d-e-r' - if you have this exact sequence of letters anywhere in your name, you're never gonna make it as a United CM.

As mad as I am, I'm not surprised at this stage.

He has been spot on the last few weeks, def got some inside knowledge into team selections so id say this isnt far off.

LVG got something against Herrara?? Surely deserves a start at this stage

I have no idea how Valencia gets a game when Raf is fit.

Bates posted that we are playing 4-4-2. De Gea, Valencia Jones Rojo Shaw, Januzaj Rooney Blind Di Maria, RVP Falcao.

    Should have played Herrera.

I think it's fairly clear at this stage that LVG doesn't seem to rate Rafael.
