Smells like teen spirit?

As pueblo and Links234 said, it's hormones. Someone coming into their teens starts stinking something terrible. It'll disappear soon enough when he starts leaving cum crusted socks and tissues around the room :D

Have you checked the mattress? Seeing as he probably spends quite a bit of time in/on his bed, the smell is probably coming from there.

I kept womens panties in my room as a teenager, I used them instead of pornography as I found it more natural than watching woman with fake breasts and what not. However womens snatches leave a bit of a pong in the room.

    Ehhhhhhhh?

Many worry about Artificial Intelligence. I worry far more about Organic Idiocy.

I can hardly remember what I had for dinner yesterday but I can remember distinctly the smell of a teenage boys room. Mixture of socks/popcorn/ovaltine type smell.

Smell memory is an enduring thing.

    Ha!

You know he probably has a secret hiding spot somewhere in the room.

It might be that he is on some kind of drug(Meth) and also that he is using to much of it, and the body is sweating it out through the pores of his skin.

    Hormonal...

    Quote from http://everydaylife.globalpost.com/side-effects-hormonal-changes-teens-14673.html

'Puberty hormones, such as testosterone and estrogen, can signal the sweat glands to produce foul-smelling chemicals.'

I would echo this, his hormones are flavouring his regular normal scent with funk. The boy can't help it, and he's not able to wash it off. Watch out for crusty t-shirt armpits, even with regular washing of both t-shirt and teenager.

He'll probably start getting a lot of spots soon, and telling you he didn't ask to be born.

Probably not the issue but I remember there a weird smell in one of the rooms in our house. We couldn't figure out what it was. But it turned out it was the lightbulb.

If you put a bulb higher in wattage in certain light cables it can cause a smell. So maybe rule that out.

He's no 'scentless apprentice' that's for sure.
You could use some 'bleach' for cleaning in the room, the room might smell like your 'in utero' but you are also free to 'come as you are' so he's not likely hiding anything.
Realistically is probably from your sons 'love buzz' where he 'blew' his 'big cheese'.'been a son' i know what its like
Don't be on a 'downer' about it,he's young and 'dumb' 'even in his youth'.I know myself doing this too much will eventually 'drain you'
Some day he will find a girl 'in bloom' and she will share her 'heart shaped box'. A 'polly' or maybe a molly.

this is all only my 'opinion' of course,'all apologies' if you dont like it,send him off to 'school' and dont worry.
one day you will walk into his room and go 'son of a gun','where did you sleep last night'?
So trust your instinct op, 'you know you're right'

I gave birth to all males, all under 8 at the moment and little angels ( well most of the time)

I have already noted the total obession with willies, and 2 love nothing more than putting their hand down my bra, don't know whether its a throw back to the breastfeeding days or not.

I don't think I want them to grow up now after reading this !!!!

    I have a 15 year old...
This video is a lot nearer the reality of it than I ever feared! :(

You SAD man, that's twice now you've said you feel sorry for my son. Hope you don't have kids they'd be terrified thinking theyve to pile up stuff for doomsday. It's not often I come across someone as pathetic as you on boards. Don't reply to my threads again.

you do realise you started a thread in after hours??

Iv 2 kids actually and they are far from "terrified" they enjoy the outdoors, camping, the young lad is getting to like shooting and wanting to go out with me more and more instead of playing his xbox!

I said it as a joke this time because i remembered your name and because once again, this is after hours! If you wanted a serious thread without "SAD" or "pathetic" people replying i suggest you try personal issues! I do hope Luke never comes accross this thread though when hes older, that might get awkward at home.......

Socks with jizz encrusted on them intrigues me.

I have loads under my bed if you ever need any.

    Pun intended.

Of course I know it's after hours but you weren't being humorous.

I'm forty and shoving my hand down a woman's bra still hasn't lost it's appeal.

It's only posh if you use a condom.

    Responsible idea.
You don't want that sock to become pregnant.
Apparently this is why there are so many 'lost socks' out there. Once one gets up the duff, the other abandons it.

All jokes aside, consider getting the room/house checked for carbon monoxide.

It would really depend on how long you've let yourself get built up, the material, thread count, air humidity, viscosity....

One person might snai- trail a lycra formal sock.... another could soak a wolly winter sock end to end....

    Needs more scientific studies
