It's hard to take your reaction to gay men kissing seriously if this is how you reacted to my post.

Where do you see this as my reaction to gay men kissing? Just show me where I singled out gay men kissing'??

Paddy Power has Varadkar and Coveney as front runners to take over FG after Kenny

So it's a dead cert they'll have a gay leader then

Im sorry you don't like women breastfeeding in public. Do uou like to eat your dinner in the toilet? Isn't that where you think nursing mothers should take babies when out in public?

Re: Poster's who have come in to post that they don't care. Are you saying that to highlight that we're in an age now when it's not a defining factor of someone's character, no more so than being, for example, left handed or bald?

I hope it's that, and not a sly swipe at the man, a "What are you telling us for?" sort of thing.

If I didn't care for a particular topic, I just wouldn't post at all.

"Poster's"? What's the apostrophe doing there?

I get why this is a big deal in one sense - e.g. it's likely an encouraging development for people who are gay.

But the way it was the main news story for a few hours today indicated slow news day to me. It's noteworthy (not to me, but to others) but it's not top story stuff IMO.

Wtf are you asking me for?? I'm paid to keep the discussion moving, not to generate it. that's your job.

Ireland is perceived as one of the most conservative countries in the EU. To have close to one of our top politicians come out as gay publicly is a big deal imo

If it weren't you wouldn't see it covered in the international press. How it's reacted to here will be a commentary on how this country has progressed from it's historic image as catholic first, Irish second.

I don't doubt that you are a well meaning and accepting individual, but when you pass a gay couple who are having a kiss or a hug, you have no idea if someone else is going to be abusing them 5 minutes later. It kills me that people don't understand this.

    And you reacted with this.

I don't want to see any couples "wearing" the face of one another in public in the middle of the day. It's disgusting.

You're posts are pretty sly and well thought out. You don't mention gay people, but, like any good troll post, your posts are fairly obviously targeted. And this post about "any couples" is obviously specific to gay couples kissing.

What do you mean by the euphemism 'eats her mayonnaise'?

Ah no euphemism. A straightforward question to bodice ripper which he/she strangely enough Is too shy to answer.
Says my child has to watch him or her snoging snd fondling partner in the street but won't agree that it's ok for me to do similar with my OH in front of his or her elderly relative. Big double standard really. Makes you wonder.

Oh yes, let's encourage them to .... to do what exactly? Are they emotionally brittle or what?

That's simply untrue. Twisted Pepper for one, there's regularly couples of all proclivities wearing the faces off each other sitting outside.

Im 19 and both lesbian and gay couples shifting in the middle of the dance floor is a regular sight in a lot of clubs i go to. Like i mean non-gay clubs. Lost society, workman's ... young people in dublin are extremely accepting of gay people for the most part

On a completely different note and maybe off topic, but Dublin is a great city overall. If the weather wasn't so shyte it would be the best.

Why don't uou have the balls to come straight out and call me a homophobic troll? Im neither. I'd like you to point to a homophobic post of mine anywhere on boards and then explain how I am trolling. Thanks.

But you took it to fondling, man bits, oral sex, foreplay etc... Nobody else did. Why did you do this? What's your agenda, what's your problem? kissing and hugging is a very natural form of affection? Why are you comparing your public oral sex life with others hugging?

Another thing he's blown is he re-election. At 12-15% of Dublin West Fine Gael can't afford to lose even a couple of thousand votes. This will lose him over half of them and those will got to the Socialists of various hues. Maybe he can get one of those unelected jobs in Europe?

Where are you seeing all of this debauchery on a regular basis?
Don't mind about this notepad and pen I have, I'm eh, making a shopping list. Yeah, that's it...A shopping list.

Don't mind them. Without the ability to make a logical argument all they have is name calling.

I take your point, and good luck to Varadkar, but for me Donal Og coming out, a man that had to stand in goals in front of up to 82,000 hurling fans, was amuch bigger deal.

Encouraging if they feel nervous about coming out. I haven't been there so I'm not going to assume it's always a walk in the park.

Veradkar is an international figure given his status, Donal Og is simply a local sportsman in a tremendously conservative organisation

who cares, this vile man is a minister for one of the worst governments in the history of the state, how many people are currently on hospital trolleys, how many people have died on hospital trolleys, how much austerity, cronyism, lies, deceit not to mention water charges have they imposed on Irish people, i couldn't care less if he announced he was transexual it changes nothing, he along with the rest of the parasites have to be removed from office as soon as possible.

Ah come off it, I didn't vote for either Government party in the last election but 4 years ago the IMF were here thanks to Biffo and his cronies, things are slowly picking up.

Sure go ahead and vote in SF and the far left, a few years of them and you will have something to bitch about.
