Haven't scrolled back through the thread yet but is anyone expected to get Spurs 1st goal assist?

Nope, Eriksen cross cleared out to Vertonghen

To some degree they are intertwined, but in others they are not.

He is a good player to have in FPL because he trickles points every week in the same way Fabregas (another good pick) does.

However, every week he would easily be third or fourth choice as my captain if he was in there for someone like Austin.

Look at the FFS poll. 7.5% of the vote. That's also based on the fact that 60% have him.

    Look at the boards.ie poll...9%.

Most plumped for Kane or Aguero. I think, given their respective fixtures, they are better captain choices.
I can't agree with you here at all. Costa is the top goalscorer in the Premier League. Totalling 17 goals from the 19 games he has played. This is an extremely impressive tally. Was Swansea away a particularly plum fixture? No. Has Costa been putting together braces lately? No.

But you have to look at the alternatives. Kane is an extremely ordinary player/goalscorer in comparison to the big hitters of this game and has half the goal tally of Costa, and has broken the 1 goal tally in a game once, in a Premier League game. Ever. Was he on form? Yes. Did that mean that I put him in my wildcard team even though I don't actually rate him as a potential big hitter long-term? Yes. Would I ever dream of captaining Harry Kane? No. Costa or Aguero with a bad fixture ahead of Kane with a good fixture. They are always likely to pop up with a goal, which is as much as Kane is ever likely to get.

Aguero on the other hand, the Daddy of this game. Will be my captain for many of the remaining weeks of this season, but this week he was a beacon of uncertainty. Will he start? I don't know, I think so, but I wouldn't swear to it. Will he complete longer than 60 minutes? Probably not. Will he be 100% and the Aguero that we're gonna get pretty soon? Definitely not.

I can find reasons why you might go for Kane (form), Aguero (pure class), but Costa was the safe choice this week. I wasn't expecting 16 points from Costa, obviously not, but he was much more likely to break the 2 point mark than the other guys, and there were no midfielders that came into the discussion this week.

    targett on elia off
Thank god Leicester didn't keep that clean sheet or I would be seriously regretting that Ben Dinnery influenced 3.9 punt this morning

Why didn't you post it before deadline :(:p...

Southampton lucky not to have conceded a late penalty.

Been very impressed with Elia so far. 5.5m but you'd expect a rise or 2 in next week.

He only said it yesterday to me and I didn't get on here last night. I'm really regretting not leaving the captaincy on Costa after I changed it to him this morning.

I'm also regretting allowing the prospect of a potential price fall make me go with Speroni as opposed to Begovic.

Why wasnt Di Maria entitled to an assist from James Wilson goal today? .. (Di Maria passed to Willson who shot, GK saved and it went back to Wilson who scored) .. They don't seem to count it as an assist to anyone.

You answered your own question ;).

Wilson shot. GK saved. Wilson scored. So it's a Wilson assist. Technically impossible by the game rules. So no assist.

    Ah OK that's a balls..

Just to be precise. They do if it's a different player e.g. ADM shot. GK saved. Wilson scored the rebound. ADM assist.

Pb today is Wilson scored his own rebound. Can't get the assist for his own goal so no assist is given.

    Bad day.

    It happens.

Trippier and Terry the only ones to do a thing.

Captain Aguero can still rescue it along with Silva.

Certainly it's an average score and I'd be doing fine if I was ranked higher, but maybe the 100k area is populated with people who captained Costa or something? I dunno. I've taken a monstrous fall in the last four weeks (before that I hovered around 30-40k) and I'm finding it difficult to claw my way out. :o

True. And I'm the same as yourself - was around the 40-50k mark for a while. Currently 107k and hoping to break into top 50k asap.

23 points with 2 players left to play (Aguero (C) and Sanchez). Highest scorers were Terry (6) and Trippier (4). Is Aguero set to start does anyone know?

I've had better days. Not sure I'll hang on to 6k tonight :P

I'm holding it together for now but if and when Aguero (c) and Theo fail tomorrow my meltdown could be a glorious sight, from afar :)

33 with Aguero(c), Sanchez, Downing, Clichy and Wisdom to play.

    Goodbye top 1k.. for now.
