I'd say he's well overweight for landing. Dumping fuel?

Technical issues apparently. Has to do fuel dump before return to CDG according to Twitter feed. Was heading for a 10hr trip to Mauritius so presume lots of fuel to dump.

I'll give it about an hour before I leave. Are lingus cargo are not the quickest at getting stuff down.

Now turning to the north, and finally starting to descend. Odd.. Now over poitiers, after its U-turn over Claremont-Ferrand.

    Possibly coming back into CDG?

Probably. Thats what we originally presumed. Alot of airports would be out of bounds for a heavy 747.

Air France confirms AF464 (Paris-Port Louis, Mauritius) returning CDG due to a technical problem.

The activity is almost over now :(
Dublin is on a yellow warning for the next 30mins so all is not lost, but Id say any go-around events are over for the next few days.

Thanks for all the wind-updates, flight reports, videos (Thanks stephen) and pictures during the past 2 days. We will now have to get used to a slower pace thread now :(

Unless of course there is snow.......

Just for those folks who wanted to know about the disruption to EI's mainline op's today, plenty of delays - no cancellations on mainline. Below is a list of the diverted flights, in brackets (far right) is the diversion airport.

    EI155 (EIN15N) LHR-DUB (SNN) EI-CPH A321
    EI159 (EIN159) LHR-DUB (MAN) EI-DVJ A320
    EI331 (EIN33J) SXF-DUB (SNN) EI-DEG A320
    EI353 (EIN35Y) MUC-DUB (SNN) EI-DEB A320
    EI433 (EIN43R) LIN-DUB (MAN) EI-EPS A319
    EI491 (EIN49P) FAO-DUB (SNN) EI-DEE A320
    EI563 (EIN563) BCN-DUB (SNN) EI-DEA A320
    EI605 (EIN60L) AMS-DUB (MAN) EI-DVN A320
    EI631 (EIN63T) BRU-DUB (MAN) EI-DVM A320

All above flights re-positioned to Dublin under the same flight number later this afternoon.

But had you been on one of these flights, you would have loved the excitement. I'm still shaking from my landing last night. WooHoo!
