So I'm out of the cup now thanks
To Sanchez. My 10 point overnight lead won't be enough

Sanchez has earned himself the right to be excluded from the axe this week. ADM, Hazard or Silva must go for me to bring in Aguero. Or else its ditch Costa..

I would sell whomever you don't plan on captaining out of Costa & Hazard when Chelsea have a good fixture and Aguero has a tricky one. 10m+ on a player you don't captain is a poor way to spend funds.

There's no proper reason to not have Sanchez.
The fact that he's a striker labelled a midfielder makes him even better.

I should have had him before now
I will not be getting him now as he is 11.4 and Walcott is 8.9
I'll take my chances that Walcott or fabregas will match him for rest of season along with the extra 2ml
im too late to the party at this stage

If it was me I'd get him, you want the hightest scoring players in your team. At least if he gets injured you wont have any money tied up in him.
You dont want to spend every weekend watching him rack up big scores while everyone else has him.
Lesson learned from Yaya and Ramsey last year

Fair play to those who captained Sanchez over Hazard/Costa

Honestly, and no disrespect to anyone that did captain Sanchez over Hazard, but Hazard was clearly the better choice for captain this week. Fine if you are looking for a differential but not for consolidating a lead.

I was captaining Hazard every day of the week in that situation. Better form, better fixture, better stats, penalties, rested.

8.9% captained him overall, 4.5% in top 1k. These are with dead teams removed.

why can't he just get injured like all the other soft arsenal players :D
I actually thought with everyone back and stokes awful record away to arsenal he might get his rest :(

If you don't have Sanchez you will have someone who scores similar points to him, i.e Hazard or Fabregas. It would even itself out over the course of the season imo.

Everyone cancels out everyone else, no point in playing at all!

Everyone has Sanchez, so the only reason to have him now is so you don't lose ground on everyone else that does have him..

Which is a fairly good reason to have him, considering the amount of ground you'll lose if you don't have him.

That's what I've been thinking all week. We can all get misled though in looking at stats.

I don't know how good this site (http://www.whoscored.com) is but it suggests Sanchez home stats are better than Hazard ones. Actually forgetting about their rating system, their compiling of player stats is just quicker info we could all gather by going through players history.

    player | played | started | sub | goals | assists
    Sanchez | 9 | 8 | 1 | 6 | 5
    Hazard | 10 | 10 | 0 | 6 | 2

Don't know if I would have captained him anyway but I'll definitely have a closer look at these stats in the future.

The team I'm facing in my h2h doesn't have him and I'm losing by 10 points or so. My Sanchez vs his Falcao

Still the wrong choice. Of all my attacking options, only Sigurdsson would have given me worse returns

Completely disagree. It certainly won't even out. The top FPL players are very mindful of who is providing best value.

Sanchez and Hazard are also fantastic captain choices. When they play at home, they could run riot, and that's something that comparable players like Fabregas and Silva do not provide.

Yeh its pretty annoying the way people go on about oh I should have captained player X look at how they have scored a million points. The game certainly would be easier if you could see the points and then pick your captain! At the end of the day Hazard or Costa looked to be the best option before the GW started and you can only go on the information that you have at the time. Long term Hazard was the better option but only by a small amount and FPL is pretty high variance and this is just one of the weeks where that is showing.
