You know you're a FSA addict when you see Walcott break through and all you can think is Dahats not going to like this if he scores....

Mentioned on here during the week that Falcao could be benched. He hasn't done enough to warrant a starting spot.
    Di Maria up front hopefully.

    Here's hoping

Honestly, and no disrespect to anyone that did captain Sanchez over Hazard, but Hazard was clearly the better choice for captain this week. Fine if you are looking for a differential but not for consolidating a lead.

I was captaining Hazard every day of the week in that situation. Better form, better fixture, better stats, penalties, rested.

Am assuming you are basing this choice on those variables listed above. When examining the form of Sanchez v Hazard, I cannot agree though. Sanchez is buzzing like a firefly at the moment, whereas Haz & co were going to be facing a Newcastle team with a new manager who can organise defensively and Chelsea came out playing like they did against Spurs. Based on this it was 50:50 between Haz & Sanch for me, not clear at all.

I'll be interested to hear if Falcao is injured.

On 69, gigady, after the Sanchez show. De Gea & Di Maria up next!

Pity I didn't just bring Austin in instead of Giroud. Will be a wasted transfer given I brought Giroud in for Austin on the wildcard. :pac:

Just ADM to go. All and any points would be lovely.

Captain Van Persie and Nosferatu up next

    Praying for a goalfest

my main /only wildcard dilemma was
Sanchez and falcao vs Theo and RVP
    so far the score is

over to the postman who has a great record vs the saints !

    FT 3-0
I happily take Sanchez 19 pts. But I think 18 pts and an anonymous Stoke goal would have benefitted me much more.

Now time to walk the dog and forget about the next game. Hopefully 1-1 with a Clyne & Rooney OG and an ADM RC...

Comparing Captain choices in hindsight is waste of time, for example you have just said "Chelsea came out playing like they did against Spurs" when making captain choice, it was assumed that they wouldn't play that way, and that there would be a strong response from them losing the game the way they did.

Arsenal could have come out today and played like they did against Southampton last week.

    Look at last 6 GW.

    Hazard had 3 goals, 3 assists, 7bps
Sanchez had 1 goal, 4 assists, 3 bps

Had Silva got a goal and assist people would had an argument that he was obvious choice.

I'm probably in the minority here with 3 united players up next. Jones, Rooney, adm

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,305 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Prodston

Walcott is a little ring rusty still but the kind of thing that could have worked. A risk and it didn't work but it was almost glorious. Felt more like how I played the game than any other time this season :)

Clyne is coming off the bench for me, along with Wisdom.. tis nice to have points to bring on with Chambers rested and Sterling tanning his ar$e somewhere.

Up to 68 + Clyne + 3 baps for Sanchez.

Still in the CUP :D:D:D, best cup run for a few years.

79 after bonus. Happy days. Captain disaster but it's one of those weeks where you get away with it since most went with hazard.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 375 ✭✭tbukela

Currently 55 with bps for Sanchez to come.

Have ADM, RVP & Pelle. Hopefully a high scoring game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,672 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Once the bonus for Sanchez comes in and Boyd subs in for Falcao it'll be 67 for the week.

Yeah, more stats and they are a valuable resource for captain choices. I must be old fashioned by actually looking at the players a-playin, for example Sanchez versus Hull in the FA Cup told me all I needed to know about his form and likewise Hazard's display against Spurs. To be told that you clearly made the wrong choice based on stats just ignores the great choice made by those who actually watch the games and judge form from game to game.
