I emailed my complaint to info@directroute.ie and received a response asking for more details the next day.

I wouldn't bother contacting someone at the toll gate as I would rather have an email chain so I know the issue is going to the proper channels.
I'd suggest if anyone else has similar problems that they do the same.

Read my post again, I had no issues with my barcode.

    OK
My OH had serious issues with her barcode when she first received it, everyday a mishap from barrier down to red arrow. Swapped our "scanners" as I don't use mine as frequent, not an issue since. That's 3 years ago though.

I don't use mine at all, I make a point of driving through Rathcormac just to see your man's contraption on top of the telescopic....wondering wtf it is.

    Happy?

The barcode is not used by the Rf scanners. Get it nice and warm when your ready to use it, and hold it out the window.

and keep her lit. 180 hi. langer!

    http://www.independent.ie/world-news/europe/video-road-rage-driver-slams-on-brakes-in-front-of-moving-lorry-30877934.html

Police have released a horrifying video of the moment an enraged driver slammed his brakes on in front of a moving lorry.

The heart stopping video shows a blue Citroën swerving and braking in front of the lorry which was traveling at 60mph, before speeding off just inches from the HGV

He was ordered to carry out 100hours of unpaid work, handed a 12 month driving ban and left with £145 bill for court costs. He must also retake his driving test.

I doubt it, travel that way frequently and it's the only toll in the country my eazypass doesn't work on, often with last second changes of mind as per the video, I've complained a few times and been told to mount the module somewhere else; made no difference whatsoever, there's something inherently wrong with their system there IMO.

    very obvious problem.

there is a height restriction barrier just in front of sensor/reader so its range is limited that along with having to lookup the database that the tag is active and in credit takes time. but there is no valid reason it can't be barrier free like M50 and there is

That dashcam is in a truck by the looks of it. Could be the lorry driver never saw the BMW up ahead til he had the first overtake completed and wrongly committed or was committed into( due to speed)the second one.

Not defending him just trying to understand it.

Just go to utub and read description. :P

[...] The driver then squeezes through the gap on the rainy A-road - thought to be the A706 between Breich in West Lothian and Forth, Lanarkshire, - before roaring away from the mayhem. [...]

    Now I understand.
Conrad, 67, from Falkirk, had been driving behind the truck at 45mph in his camper van with wife Irene

First of all I'm sorry for the quality here, I've no access to a computer till tomorrow night but seeing as it's all over the news I thought I'd post this.
Passed by the scene of the crash that closed the green line tonight. The car took out a lot of junction boxes and ended up on the track, kudos to the driver though he/she didn't do a half job of destroying the place, from what I hear is safe and well. ( you can see the car too the right, on the tracks)

This is filmed from the dashcam with my phone. :o:o
