The current Octavia looks all wrong. I thought I'd get used to it, and clumsy would become bold, but it still looks clumsy.

I'm not too bothered by the outside but the interior is a step down on my old one. Bit noisy and bumpy too.

Still, pile the miles on and they still hang onto more value.

Nightbreakers are so much better than the last bulbs in it!

They are great bulbs you'd really appreciate them on long drives in the dark. For the money I really don't think you could buy better bulbs.

I was out driving all day (400km) and didn't see one 151 reg. tbh I still prefere the old system 11, 12 reg etc. I also got my rear brake pads replaced today front ones were done around 12k km ago. Discs are very good all round so at least that area is all good for at least a year. Cvrt I need to book in the next few days so it will be tested in the next few weeks and hoping to keep my record of no fails going :)

I don't like them at all if anything they put me of skodas. I like my parents octavia for what it represent a high spec car for very cheap money new. But with the new model I was in a mid spec one and it was the sh!test interior Id sat in in a long time and they have jacked the price way up fcuk that. I also can't really fit in the back of the new one even though apparently they are way bigger well maybe they are on paper but not in real life when your cramed into one.

My uncle has a new vrs version and it's nice a bit less cheap looking on the inside but I wouldn't buy one tbh.

Just got a text from Conlans, they are feeling very deep and philosophical today!

You know what, after looking at a vrs Octy lately I think they're making a better Skoda than Skoda these days.

I am with ye there lads.

I am only marginally sold on a new vRS.

Totally confused as to what to buy this time.
I am even thinking back as far as my sons 06 E60 as being a nice place to be than the new octy.

Looking at Alpina D3 Biturbo from the uk and get the job done on the timing chain upon arrival here.
Would it be a good plan or would it still be a no no.?

Any prices on the new Jag Xe ??

If I dont start deciding now I will jump on something and probably regret it.

I can get a super price on a Leon Cupra 280, But would it be a seller in 2 years time?

The way you work it I'd buy a GTI PP over the Cupra. Nice and all as it is very few will want it in a couple of years.

    Ahem

    ayI8qxX.jpg
Natasha Gregory, who was behind the wheel of the pink Vauxhall when she lost control and ploughed into the prestige car which was filling up at Esso in Kingshill, became the centre of a media storm when she used food colouring to dye the cat.

The then 22-year-old, who said her favourite colour is pink, and had dyed her own hair the same shade, said at the time she had been surprised by the media attention surrounding the story, which was covered by news outlets around the world.

And her fame has grown again over the last few days with the story of her accident being seen by thousands of people and making the national news.

Mechanic couldn't find the problem with the steering in the focus. Doubting now whether it's the steering rack.

Problem is, when cold, and driving along, steering doesn't want to turn, you need to put extra pressure on it, then it'll suddenly give. Steering doesn't automatically go back straight after turning as well, needs to be manually straightened.

I think I'd lose the head if that was my Aston. Are the two photos of her in the article the same person??

I'll take that offer, might see myself with a 900 ;)

Has to go up again someday, will ask about that, although thought he said he checked it, needs new bushings amongst other things.

Drunk driver went all the way from Newbridge to Dublin. Called 112 three times and lost sight of him on M50 when I had to take the N4 exit.

You are an irresponsible gob****e, and I hope that you wrap your car around a tree and kill yourself before killing anyone else.

    - Came to a stop on the M7
    - Almost crashed into a bus
    - Almost caused a massive pile up when he veered into the left lane
    - Came to a stop on the M50

    03D22105

If you look your reg up, you know how I feel about you.

If it was daylight and I could see what he was up to, I'd have taken his keys off him and wait for the coppers.

    My blood boils!!!!!

Sorry about that, I was a little distracted on the way home.
