that gerrard thread has serious potential, i think its best a few of us stay out of it.....:pac:

I'd say it will be tame enough, nothing like the Giggs retirement one anyway...

When are Blind and Rojo due back?

Missed the game today. Just caught the highlights.

    Shocking defending again today.

Evans really should still not be anything more than 5th choice CB behind even McNair and Blackett. Use him for micky mouse cup games and a sub option when we have the game won already. He really is awful.

For a guy who's had many years of experience playing at the top level he really should be better.

Jones and Smalling aren't much better.

We're probably going to have to wait until the summer to get 2 good CB's in if we're lucky.

Ha, it's funny how things turn completely on their head in such a short space of time. United were terrible for letting him have the captaincy last year :)

Got deleted on the stevie g thread so I'll say it here. I started the giggs thread when he was finishing last season and not one carded post across 6 pages of trolling about his personal life and other stuff, already a few cards in the stevie g one.

    Justice?

At least Giggs didn't cost us a League title.

Shouldn't be tolerated in either thread tbh. Schoolboy stuff from both sides unfortunately. Hopefully it quietens down, the Giggs thread stuff was not on and would be a shame to ruin another one for petty rivalry reasons.

I'm not saying it's right, but we got it in the nose pretty much all of last season and into some of the summer. Wasn't a tap done about the huge amount of trolling that was going on.

Meh, makes for hilarious comeuppances this season...

What exactly are you complaining about with regards to Giggs? It would be impossible to discuss his career while ignoring the most unreal off pitch scandal involving a world class footballer. Most of those posting about it acknowledged his greatness on the pitch. A John Terry retirement thread would be the same.

    Some small thinking there imo.

I think it was more the posts using it to put him down in his retirement thread rather than a discussion point of his career. John Terry's thread probably will be the worst of the lot alright!

I had to bloody go searching for the Giggs thread to see what the fuss was about.

Turns out a post early on by a Utd fan actually helped derail the thread.

Jaysus lads do bad mouthing one of your players really hurt so much that revenge is needed?

I say that as someone who had a decent word to say about Giggs in that thread

Where was the high horse when half the pool superthread were wandering into anything to do with utd last season gloating?

    Voice of reason alright...

The above doesn't address the post you quoted imo.

However, if you wish to talk about a different topic: I haven't complained about the reverse and haven't gone lobbying the mod team for rule changes because my team is perforning relatively poorly. I never report posts either. If you can give it you can take it imo.

For anyone who hasn't seen it yet, today's post of the day is a good one courtesy of a now ex-poster in the LFC thread!

Have a look at the definition of bitter then read the posts again.

Hey those nasty Liverpool fans ruined our thread. Look how scummy and rude they are. Oh look a thread on Steven Gerrard, let's go troll it too and derail a second thread because sure its fair game when they did it to us first. It's only revenge they still started it so it's their fault.

There's some pretty pathetic stuff on both sides. It seems no thread on anything to do with either club can be discussed without bickering from either side. It's a small minority but it just ruins threads. The trolling on the Gerrard one isn't even relevant in any way to the topic as I'm sure the stuff on the Giggs one wasn't either.

Yeah, seen it in the posts/moments/threads of the year thread. Kudos for taking something way too seriously yet going out in such a blasé and funny way.

Real Madrid's Pepe is stalling on renewing with RM. #mufc are willing to bid. [marca]

I know we need a new CB or two but not him, please!

(Hopefully it's just his agent's ploy to get him a better contract with RM)

Infuriating to see Rooney wasted in midfield. Hopefully Herrera forces his way into the team, making Rooney play more advanced (assuming he can't be dropped as captain.)
I really don't think it's good for the teams balance to try and cram Mata Rooney RVP and Falcao into the team.

Him signing off with a couple of Kenny Powers gifs was the clincher for me, very appropriate to the tone of the post!

I don't know, I'd probably do something similar if I was a Liverpool fan and forced (i know it's a bit hyperbolic) to read and post in that thread everyday. The fact that the main antagonist thanked it is indicative of what drives me mad when I post there which I only do sporadically anyway.

To be blunt, overnight, there's been way too much backseat moderation and incitement to troll from certain users.

I don't care what happened in the past, there's no excuse for breaking charter at this stage, and some people would want to step back and realise that what they've posted is obviously disrupting the thread and going to cause problems.

The other mods have already dished out some cards over night, and one or two users should count themselves lucky about that cause I was going to dish out harsher punishments than they got. Trying to get cheap digs on people in a bid to disrupt the thread and cause problems (while admitting to doing so) is not on.

Either get back to United related matters or stop posting.

After seeing the results of the Christmas schedule, I don't know if our results were good, or a total missed opportunity.

Cant help but feel we blew a big chance. Always feel Xmas schedule is a great chance to close gaps, or widen them. And historically we have always had a strong christmas period thats let us close gaps.

We could have been putting a lot more pressure on City and Chelsea. Personally feel it's a major chance wasted, although that may be too harsh considering injuries and all other things concerned.

Falcao again yesterday...he grew into it, but there is something horribly poor about him receiving the ball back to goal. Perhaps its just rustyness/match fitness related, but he just constantly seems to loose the ball.

Hopefully it is just match fitness related, took his goal well, and would like to see him hit the ground running for the rest of the season. Has been by far my biggest disappointment of the season so far.
