Was reading WWE network took down 95 Nitros but it was just to put new thumbnails and chapters etc. I hope WWE haven't reached their hard-drive size limit yet! Should've sprung for the 64GB iPhone not the 32GB

They added new thumbnails and bookmarks for the Nitros. The origin of the claim that they were taken down for space came from the AskWWENetwork Twitter a/c (which is utterly useless)

Any time I've tried to correspond with them about the Network I just get an automated message. Is anyone going to watch the Monday Night War tonight? It's focusing on Mick Foley.

Did they not already do one on Foley? It's the one where they mention Hall and Nash and Ted Turner a lot.

So any news on what's happening with our version of the network ? I know vince doesn't want to be quoted on it.

I haven't a clue. I've only seen some of the episodes. If I stay awake after Raw usually.

The Foley episode was just a repeat. I'm not up to date at all with the MNW as it just got way too samey. Are any of the past few episodes worth watching at all?

They've added some interesting stuff from late 90s WWF in the 12 Days of Attitude section in the vault: the first Smackdown from Spring 1999, the SummerSlam '98 go-home Raw is War with Kane vs Mankind Hell in a Cell, one episode of Heat from 1999 and there's even a Steven Regal He's a Man's Man promo which has to be a rib adding that one.

Latest rumour from a conference call report was that it was the over-the-top version. But I'll believe it when I see it. We will like have news by February.

I've watched wrestlemania I in full and it's not the best but good for what it was and because of the historic nature of the event it wasn't that bad.

Wrestlemania II on the other hand has been an utter cluster**** and considering the amazing event the year after it makes it worse.

I liked WrestleMania II a lot, for what it was. It was an amazing achievement for it's time also. I'm currently watching Starrcade 1986, which seems pretty good so far. Lots of blood anyway.

Just re watched the tag match from WM II and maybe I missed it the first time but Jesus the dynamite kid took a horrible bump right at the end. I don't know if his head missed the mat on the outside as he seems to be off the edge when the camera shows him. I mean either he is selling like a champ or he is in bits.

    I'll give it a watch.

Nearly forty minutes in to starcade 86 as its okay

First Match was a nice tag match.
Jimmy and brad Armstrong go to a 15 minute draw in an good match that kept me interested.
The third match the second tag match is the worst match so far. Hector Guerrero was the best in there.

RAW live on the Network would literally kill the WWE unless they can simulcast it on TV as well - and if they did that they'd lose a significant amount of value on any TV deal thereby requiring even more Network subscriptions.

They could easily do a third big show similar to Raw, but exclusive to the Network. Just do it at a house show every week.

People barely watch the second show they put out a week, which has a far bigger potential audience than a Network show.....

I believe that already exists, and is called Main Event

Raw costs $600,000 to produce. So a third big show similar to Raw on the network would cost them over $30,000,000 a year, which would mean they'd need a steady state of an extra 300,000 subscribers all year round just to break even on producing it, which they won't get. So that's an awful idea, basically.

It's not going to cost them $600,000 to tape a house show. They did it every week in the 80's. New Japan are doing it and they haven't got close to the money and the resources WWE has.

I can't see them gaining anymore subscribers now, whoever wants it has got it now.

I'd be more "5 hours a week is already far too much". They just need to produce a consistently better show to drive viewers - PPVs will always be the main draw to their Network. Realistically you can't have it both ways, you can't expect most people to want more than 5 hours of free TV/week!

Exactly they should be cutting raw back to 2 hours instead of adding another show

Plenty of people still do which is very surprising
SmackDown in November averaged a 2.00 rating with 2.77 million viewers, compared to a 1.98 rating with 2.81 million viewers in November 2013 and a 1.80 rating with 2.58 million viewers in 2012.

Unfortunately, with the way they hyped up the move to three hours they're locked into that for the foreseeable future.

You said "they could easily do a big third show similar to Raw" which is what I was responding to. That would cost them $600,000.

I don't see the point in putting house shows on the network. I get free tickets through a friend of mine who works in the Point and I haven't bothered attending the last few. You couldn't pay me to watch one on the network.

Mind you, I could probably punch holes in almost all the ideas to make the network more popular. I just don't think there are much more than 700 - 800,000 worldwide who want to see more wrestling than they get at the moment, regardless of the content.

just moving this Network chatter from the news thread.

The Network specials like Destruction of the Shield would be incentives but I don't know if anyone would buy the Network for it, more a bonus for those who have it to continue on. Also, they're not regular at all so there's not much point. Countdown and revisionist Monday Night War (singular!) are hardly needle-movers.

Not officially. You can get it via the unblock-us method relatively easily though.

Thank you I should have said officially.

As I have it the other way.

There's been very little talk of it since it was last pulled at launch. Nothing concrete whatsoever. I reckon we might know something by end of January.
