I don't know what your team is but you are mental for dropping Sanchez, the highest scoring player in the game, at home to QPR

I gave the reasons above - last 6 games - 1 goal and 2 assists. Lots of talk about possibly being rested.

It's easy to say after the event that it was madness.

Looking at minileagues, my stronger squad means I actually extend my lead by 5 points from second who has no one off the bench for Zabaleta. The chasing pack from 3rd-5th will make up about 25 points but that's about it.

Captained Giroud. Siggy 1st sub. This game can be a balls

I completely understand your reasoning even if I don't necesarily agree with it. He could have come on for the last 15 and scored 1 point while other attackers could hve done well.

I mulled over it but Boyd vs Liverpool or Play 4 defenders was my other option.

It's a comment on tactics in the game.

I was pointing out that I have a proven strategy which I stick to. 8 attacking players doesn't work for me.

Just like I always prefer 3-4-3 to 3-5-2.

I bought Sterling as i felt he was getting closer to scoring and they were up against Burnley, therefore he had to play, - other than him your not dropping any of the other 3 - silva/toure/Fab

Up front - Kane, Austin and Giroud have been in great form.

Prior to today, Sanches had 1 goal and 2 assists in 6 games and there was talk he was going to be rested.

Actually after reading who else you had, I'd have probably benched him too.

Eh, I think you're imagining things there. I think his original point was that if you have a strong attacking front 8 you're asking for heartache. A lot of people would have benched Austin based on fixtures if they had five strong midfielders.

nevermind me. Disappointed at the day and blackburn losing to Bolton just caps off the miserableness

92 if baps stay as they are. Only downside was bringi g in Downing for Siggy, but that may work in the long run. Gone from 24k to an estimated 11k, my highest in three years.

Congrats! Would have broken the magical ton bar too if I had the time to sub in Siggy for Sakho... Ah well a great week anyway and a nice jump in the ranking expected too (was about 20k behind you).

66(-4) all in. ****e, comparatively. Bony captain and two 0s in defense were a kick. FFFix is saying I'll drop to 50k. A drop of 25k, but to be honest I thought it would be worse. Third place in my league cracked 100 points with 102, which is pretty damn impressive. Bit scared for Sunday now too!

Yep, I jumped the gun and regretted the post 2 minutes after posting it.

Never post angry is what they say isn't it ;)

70 with bps to come. I don't know if I'll rise or fall with that. Every one of my front seven scored bar my captain Bony!

It's not a dig at all but what happened to you today is the reason I generally follow a similar tactics than Lemlin. The most frustrating thing on Earth in this bloody game is have pts laughing at you on the bench (at least from my point of view).
While I'm saying that I'm actually gonna miss out on 10 extra pts from leaving Siggy on my bench instead of Sakho. Though my bad for not putting Siggy on when I made my transfer yesterday. Sakho was never supposed to play but at this time of year I can never concentrate enough on FPL and my habit of leaving things late burnt me today (again) :(. Though I'm having a wonderful GW. But 10 pts is 10 pts, whether you score 30 or 100 is a different thing :P.

Cheers, im currently 126th in the boards.ie league should move into the top 100 after today :) I had thought about transferring siggy out but decided to bank my transfer this week. Siggy is a seasons keeper this year it seems.

I'm minus 22 points for the game week with the two transfers I've made.

Probably would have captained Sanchez, so add another 12 to that ?

    minus 34 overall

Gonna finish on 57, whereas I should have finished on 91 if I never made a transfer.

    what a great game :D

This may have been brought up somewhere else in the 45 pages of this thread , but Jesus Christ look at Terry's reaction to yer man compared to the rest of them.

After a 14 point haul, do I really care though...

I prefer that in normal circumstances but at the minute money is no object and there is always rotation at this time of year and ill play wildcard early to go back to bench fodder so it suits me. Of course it didn't happen but let's say one of our front 7 didn't play today eg sanchez I'd be getting austin's 7 and you would be getting Marneys 2. It's swings and roundabouts and who knows what next gw will bring. Arsenal going down to 10 today alters the game and ings hits the post it's small margins.
