Definitely not imo. I have Zaba and am expecting him to sit out at some point. For free maybe if you don't have anything important to do but not for a hit.

It is absolutely a transfer that makes long term sense though so this could be the week to do it if the little bit of change can be put to proper use.
The rb needs to tell us what his other transfer is, long story short: if I had Clichy I would be getting rid asap.

Yeh I agree but better to wait and do it for free if possible. There is no long term right now due to WC. I guess if you think Zaba is 100% nailed on then its worth 4 points but I just don't think anyone is that confident he is.

Depends on the player going out. Sanchez would be the obvious one if you don't have him but who knows what will happen with rotation! If you are looking at a zero if you don't bring someone in then there are a good few who look decent value to bring in.

Bony perhaps because he has already been rested but he only has 3 GWs until he's gone.

Have Sanchez & Bony. Team isnt in too bad shape but I've a feeling I'm going to suffer on Stephen's Day.

I'm just still miffed at not taking a hit for Silva in, Siggy out last GW. Could of had a FT to get rid of Costa this week to clear the way for Fabregas into my midfield with Hazard....

Do you have some cover in case of rotation? If so then I would keep hold of the 4 points. For every time you were thinking of a hit for a Silva level performance you have 4 or 5 where they score 2 and you don't think about them!

If you fancy a punt on someone then Giroud is a decent option even Coleman/Baines have a good chance of picking up a score this week.

Hahaha, I predict I'll be getting one for christmas! :pac:

I was itching to do that transfer for a points hit though, talked myself out of it with logic and common sense! What was i thinking!!

And given their GW19 & 20 fixtures definitely in with a good shout of it being very profitable!

I'm toying with the idea of having a midfield of:

    Yaya.... Silva..... Hazard.... Fábregas... Downing

It's so crazy, it might even work.

Like the look of that! Does it rip apart the rest of your team? I guess with Kane/Austin scoring well above their price you can still get a decent side even with those 5.

Yeah I've brought Baines in for Cresswell this week. Hoping I dodged his run of 1 pointers! I can get rid of him in the WC if not.

2 matches get called off for whatever reason and you have no midfield! :pac:

Am I crazy dropping Hazard for Yaya. Two alternatives I can see to have both (Hazard and Yaya) is (i) to drop Schneiderlin or Siggy for Yaya and drop Costa for Pelle. But that only leaves me with Bony, Austin, and Pelle upfront. Or (ii) drop Sanchez, meaning I keep Costa up front with Austin and Bony, saving my self a 4 pt hit.

    Thoughts?

Is there rumours Sanchez will be rested?

Also what's the chances of Hazard not making it?

rumours of sanchez being is rested is because after QPR at home they have 2 tough away games in a few days. best opportunity to rest him would be the QPR game

I've never understood why managers just don't give a player a day off training instead of resting them for a game.

I'm not gonna bother myself worrying about who will or won't start. We can't know, unfortunately. I've chosen a team I think is strong and I have a subs bench with three starters. Not much else I can do over the next couple of gameweeks. It'll be mad. Let's just hope we come out of the madness not doing too badly! :pac:

This may be useful in clearing some of our thinking....

Please add those you think...or correct any you disagree with.

Certain starters GW18 (only looking at relevant key FPL assets)
    Benteke
    Silva.
    Yaya.
    Nasri.
    Milner.
    Eriksen
    Bony
    Fabregas
    Oscar
    Downing
    Carroll
    Falcao...?
    ADM
    Giroud
    Austin.
    Pelle.
    Demichelis
    Mangala

At that level i would imagine it's very hard to play 2 games in 48 hours at maximum level and for clubs that have big squads it makes perfect sense to use their squad. I'm sure lots of players get time off training during the season to help them recover. A game would be far more intense than a training session.

Can I add Hazard to the list??

"That will be alright," Hazard was quoted as saying by Belgian daily Nieuwsblad. "I'll be able to play on Boxing Day."

Still a grey area. Hard to give a flagged player that kind of garauntee, and he played against Derby in the League Cup recently so Mourinho saying that no player will start all 6 games leaves hazard due to be benched for one soon.

Good list nice work! I have RVP and don't like how Falcao is on it and not RVP but thats because I think u might be right!

Better to try get a full squad of players or a stronger eleven this week?
Been mulling over getting Yaya in alongside Silva who I already have. Think about shipping Costa out and then there is the Hazard injury.

I only have Gerogie Boyd as a player I can sub in which I think is risky this week and next

    Squad is as follows:
    Guzan
    Zab Terry Wisdom
    Sanchez Silva Eriksen Hazard
    Austin Bony Costa

    Hamer Boyd Duff Moore

Thinking may make sense to do Moore > O Shea/Brown as Duff should be back in a week or so.

Any thoughts? Any opinions on Sunderland defenders? Really don't rate O Shea or Brown but they have been decent defensively.

I'd be 80% certain RVP and Falcao will be starting up front for United, but the list is for certs.

Never trust a player who says they are fit.. Someone stung me before - can't remember now..

At the moment Kane is on the bench but may change this.

Although Spurs home form has improved recently they still have a better away record than when they play at WHL and are playing bottom club Leicester on the 26th ...

United and Chelsea (both at WHL) after that .... United defense is still suspect so I'd say there is every chance of a goal or two for Kane in that.

But as for Chelsea. Forget it.

Yea i know and i knew before i made the transfers that it would cause a headache, so not sure what i'm going to do.

I've already made my other transfer. How likely do you reckon Zabaleta is to start week-in-week-out? I've a feeling Clichy only gets one game over the holidays. Fine with taking the hit if I think Zab will start this week and next week but if he's only going to be rested Sunday I'd be as well off just waiting a fortnight unless their prices are both likely to change.

I think your pretty much on the money there. It wouldn't surprise me if big Sam targeted the arsenal at home game and made a few changes for the Chelsea game I don't see him playing a diamond with 2 up top in that game. I'd have Rooney as a guaranteed starter also.
