The Hart option above is intriguing me though. Would leave me with a small bit in the bank too.

Ye Hart is a very good shout. I replaced Forster with ddg as I was happy to go with an expensive GK till wildcard due to no rotation issues. It was ddg Hart or courtoius. Hart would've been the best option in hindsight.

Starting to get the feeling Costa won't play this gameweek as Southampton is a much bigger game 2 days later and he definitely will not play twice in 48 hours.

Not exactly sure who to get in though.

Do we really think Hart is rotation-proof? No chance of Caballero for Burnely or Sunderland at home?

Is this worth an 8 point hit?

Berahino, Mata, Costa out and bring in Giroud, Sanchez and Austin?

That's the route I took 2 GWs ago. He got me 2 CS. But you could argue that Zab got the same amount of pts over these 2 games (despite only playing 1 of them) and in hindsight going for Panti and Zab at the back would have been the better idea.

I do hope though that he's more rotation proof than Zab (over the next 3 games) and

    won't happen.

I'm on the fence regarding Sanchez. If you have him, keep him for now. However, if you don't have him, I would get him in just yet. Giroud's return has really stifled his attacking output. He isn't getting into goalscoring positions as much. If I had no Arsenal attacking coverage for the Christmas, I'd pick Giroud, Cazorla, Sanchez in that order.

Sanchez might be rested against QPR and Arsenal away isn't the best fixture for Austin. I would just do Costa to Giroud or Berahino to Kane.

Have Kane, and am desperate to dump either Berahino or Schlupp, they are both like a bad smell. Maybe Costa to Giroud and Schlupp to ????? O'Shea maybe? Or Berahino to Benteke?

Was all set to do 3 transfers and take a -4, but now I don't know what to do with myself.

Will wait and see what Costa/Azpili do this evening.

Was going to do a straight transfer of yaya to silva, but kind of want both of them now, lol

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,626 ✭✭✭✭Rikand

    Maybe Costa to Giroud/Benteke
    Dummett to Zabaleta

That would give me some serious selection headaches, lol :D

I have Tekkers so am in favor that move. As long as you don't need Schlupp to start every match, that would be a lower priority imo. At least he's an OOP for better attacking returns

Would appreciate a transfer recommendation. After having 2 bad weeks in a row which has seen me fall from 60k to 120k :(

    Forster - Jakopovic

    Yun - Baines - Dummett - Widsom - Naylor

    Sanchez - Yaya - Hazard - Siggy - Albrighton

    Kane - Costa - Bony

    (1.7m in the bank)

Why are you thinking of yaya to silva

Money is the only reason. Save an extra 2 million to spend elsewhere.

And then use the extra million to beef up your midfield/attack ? Maybe Silva in for Siggy or something like that

Is there a need to do transfers this early in week?

Think i've settled on Berahino, Costa for Giroud/Benteke. Might wait in case injuries are an issue.

Costa to Giroud or if you're feeling punty Albrighton to Adam Johnson

@Rikand. Yeah that sounds good alright. Can exactly afford in. Zab and Silva in for Baines and Siggy. Would it be too much of a City overload though? Would it be madness having both Silva and Yaya?

@Ziegler: Ha, I feel like playing it safe rather than risking someone like Johnson atm :P! I am starting to have a few doubts over Costa but think i'll still give him a few more GWs!

Yaya is one of the few attacking players as is Silva i'd be 100% confident of starting the dec 26th games .There's no way I'd take him out. I plan to have both Yaya and silva if not this gw the next one.

Albrighton to Johnson is actually a very good move to cover yourself for xmas rotation. It's one of the safest moves you could make. Albrighton to Henderson isn't a bad move either.

I haven't given my transfer(s) any much thought yet but am tempted to get rid of RVP and Sterling straight away. No need to make any rash decisions so happy to give myself another few days to mull over what direction to go

Rotation experts (I.e. Busts :)) - how highly do you rate the chances of (1) RVP rested v Newcastle and (2) Costa rested v West Ham.

The Hart move could work, I though it was a good idea too. Shame to drop Chambers if he's gonna get his game for another while, he's a good rotation option at least.

Zab looked fantastic for City though. I can get Zab for 6.4 and have an attacking full back with a great chance of bonus or I pay 6.1 million for Hart and get the offer of about 6 points max a game.

Is Chambers not in danger now that Debuchy is back?

Suggestions welcome - more City coverage? Ship Yun? Bank transfer?

    Lloris - McCarthy

    Yun - Naylor - Terry - Zabaleta - O'Shea

    Eriksen - Sanchez - Hazard - Downing - Boyd

    Austin - Bony - Rooney

    3.7m in the bank

Got Benteke in two weeks ago and then shipped him for Rooney last week as part of a -8. Thinking back one of the reasons for the move was that I simply had too much cash in the bank and wasn't sure what to do with it. Really wish I'd just left him in now, but don't want to use my transfer to simply reverse that mistake.

So, do I need Yaya and, if so, for whom? Is Giroud worth going for or is he more likely to be rested/in less need of a rest having only just come back from injury? Should I ship Rooney for someone because of his deeper position, even if I feel he's likely to be rested least of all Utd's forwards?

Haven't got a clue what to do at the moment.....

Isn't it a bad timing now with Liverpool tasty run of fixtures?

Not 100% sure pn the Arsenal defence situation as it doesn't currently affect me.

Is Kos still out? Flagged but says hes back this week. If Kos is back for the 26th then Chambers could be dodgy. Belerin is flagged too so there may still be decent game time for him though.

Zab is the sexier option, the attacking he does is crazy. Suppose it zab+green vs Hart+chambers (and your other rotation options if he's dropped)

I haven't even considered downing . He has a career goal record of 1 in every 10 yet has a 1 in 4 record this year. 4 goals in 16 games this season he had 4 goals in his previous 97 games. Granted he has shifted position and is playing in a form team and is playing well but at his price range I'd pick siggy all day long. I had similar thoughts with Yaya and Ramsey last year and caved eventually but downing has a fair bit to go to convince me that he has finally become a consistent goalscorer.

He's gone a fair bit of the way to convincing me, although I was skeptical when I first brought him in.

Very difficult to compare with his old stats when he was playing on the wing, he's much more involved in the central position. On set pieces too which is a huge advantage in a team like WHAM who have so many set piece threats.

I think he's a must have at the moment. His goals may dry up, but his assists won't. Downing has created 52 chances so far this season, the most out of any player in the PL.

Edit - just to note by comparison Siggy has created 41 chances.

If Bellerin is fit I could see Chambers benched for QPR. He's not playing particularly well and isn't nailed any more.

I'm the same situation myself, have Sterling and weighing up to keep or sell based on
    1. Great fixtures
    2. Liverpool being utterly useless

Yeah but I realised what I'd known all season and somehow discounted that I don't trust Liverpool in the slightest. Same goes for Robin as it's the 2nd time I've signed him, captained him and crashed and burned.

I'm still cranky after Saturday and not used to things going wrong this season so trying to keep my thoughts as objective as I can.
