can i ask does anyone use any irish sites when looking to get parcels posted to the postal motel? wanted to go to get something in littlewoods but hubbie thinks it's a bit more work to be posting from an irish site to an english "addres" back down to dublin parcel motel.

    thanks

They have an Irish address as well

5'6" here and I have some pairs of jeans from petite ranges. Fecking madness, how the hell are shorter women supposed to shop if I can wear those?

It's all about proportions really. I'm 5'3.5" and petite range jeans and trousers are too short for me. I take regular. My father is 5'8" and my legs are the same length as his.

I'm happy with my height. It's kinda dismaying how many people in this thread are unhappy with their theirs. :(

I got my first onesie - I never thought that I would find any that would fit - they were from the children's range in Tesco.

I do have a lot of nicer items from the children's ranges - I see no harm in it and they are a bit cheaper too. Tights/trousers/socks though I need the regular range.

Tesco and Penneys tend to do older childrens ranges in centimetres, which is great, I'm about 160cm so their 158 ranges are perfect! Haven't checked out Dunnes in a while but I used to find their 12 years clothes were perfect. I'm 5'1" and about 7 stone.

I am just under 5' size 8 and quite large hips and breast for my size and size three shoes. So find it difficult to get dresses to fit me on the bust and hips as next size up always swaps me which is quite annoying. But mainly I wear a belt on dresses that as least makes the dresses less of a tent. Going to have to take down names of shop to look into for clothes already mentioned. Im generally a fan of H&M, Wollis, Next, and New look. Its sad how much I absolutely love when a shoe shop displays the sizes they have on offer. So I like going into clothes shoes to buy shoes for this reason. Its so nice to know what I can possibly try on.
Also quite annoying to have use a step at work sometime or at home to reach certain areas. But that said my three brothers are over 6' and have male pattern baldness so would rather be petite than balding.

Oh Scillaria i got myself a step ladder for home even though my husband is 6'4 he isn't always around and i find it a great help. :) that's a great idea for your dresses adding a belt to suit your shape. im really not a belt fan to be honest but think it could be something to try out in the future if im stuck for anything to fit properally.

5' 2" and love being petite! Only downside is the aforementioned weight issue, half a stone gained shows immediately...

Some of us mentioned that weight gain or loss is easily noticeable when you're short.

I lost 2lbs, which is nothing really.

My boyfriend asked me last night 'how did you lose weight so quickly? You've lost a lot in the past two weeks.'

He was shocked that I'd only lost 2lbs, because it'd take a good 10lbs before any difference on him would be noticeable :pac:

It's funny that people were mentioning how a small bit of weight gain is fairly noticeable. I never noticed that but I really ever gain weight I suppose I've always managed to stay at 8.3 (I'm 5ft) though saying that when once I went down to around 7.11 my family definitely noticed even though it's not a huge amount to lose. I just hate the fact that when your small you're never seen as 'sexy' but more 'cute' and though it's kind of cute, men seem to think that your completely incapable of lifting anything even slightly heavy. :o I just feel that all men would prefer tall women (I know, I know, men all like different types) but I just always feel that tall women look better! :P

I always felt that being petite that I had more choice in men, I dated men who were 6ft 3in but my husband ended up being 5ft 10in. I am 5ft 1in myself and have been the same weight since I was a teenager (the exception being when I was ill in my 30's), the weight has just moved a bit since I had my children.

My weight has climbed a bit since meeting my husband 8 years ago. was 7 and a half stone when we first met. im now nearly 9 stone but im pretty ok about it. would def like to start toning up a bit though in the new year.

I completely disagree that men would prefer taller women. I'm 5ft 3 and have never had a guy comment on my height or view me as "cute" because of my height. In fact, guys have often said that taller women tend to have men's size feet and find it a turn off. Just my personal experience!

5'6" is hardly what I would call small! In Ireland, this is the average height for some "models"!

That's gas. I'm on the other side of the spectrum. I'm just under 5'10" and my weight changes are barely noticable at all. I've put on a stone and a half in the past year or so and no one seems to notice. Or maybe they are just being nice :o My clothes sizes barely change...My weight varies so much between 54KG to 64KG but I tend to look the same... But I still don't like being tall!

Another short arse here at 5'3. In general I dont like it, I feel too squashed up when shopping for clothes, nothing ever fits right! And im one of the short people with stubby legs so they are a pain to dress. The worse is the weight tho , im up a stone in weight lately and I hate it, its so noticable on my face and I just look bloated. I constantly get the cute comments too off guys where I dont really like tbh, Id actually prefer hot or something as a compliment as cute seems something you'd say about a dog or something. guys dont seem to notice cute :/

I'm 5' or possibly 5'1". I'm a size 8 on top and a 10 on the bottom (used to be an 8 all over but I've put on almost a stone over the last couple of years). I don't have too much trouble finding clothes, although when I tried on some work blouses recently they were very baggy on the bust. I'm a C cup, but it would probably take a DD to fill the blouses I tried on!

I have trouble finding shoes because my feet are wide, but they are a size 5 so not much smaller than average?

I think petite women are very sexy....

What chat up lines might work best with petite women? Any suggestions are gratefully received?

I'm petite too - 5'3 and have size 2 feet! Get some reaction when people ask me my shoe size and that's the answer, feel like a circus freak at times haha! :p nightmare trying to find heels!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,053 ✭✭✭mollybird

hey lollipop do you mind me asking where do you get your shoes? the only place i can get any heals is on light in the box. they have a good selection and aren't too pricey at all. only pain is having to pay customs.

Spartoo.eu have good selection of size 35 and free delivery and returns over 50 Euro. But they are mostly not cheap.
