Used to do the temp postie for christmas. Handy few quid. Fecking chrismas exams :(.

Bear, I wouldn't be 2 worried about an intermittent fault like that. Limp mode issues throw a fault code and are normally easy enough to diagnose. It's the non limp mode codeless mystery faults that wreck your head for weeks trying to figure them out. Hopefully it's only the fuel filter. They're a 20k - 30k mile service item on a diesel anyway.

    Hehe ;) thaaanks

It's funny the stuff you'd find, we found a gigantic block of mouldy cheese one year, a vibrator full of a certain illegal substance last year which was hilarious to say the least :pac:

Cheers lads, the more I read up on it the more I'm convinced it's the filter.
Which means I've got 3 problems now to solve and all of them as soon as possible :( Fuel filter knackered, the solenoid which controls the throttle body is fecked and I've got possible injector issues.
At least I've got my heal................................................

Pretty sure I've seen a couple of posters who have insured a second / multiple cars and their insurer has let the NCB run concurrently on all cars.

Also classic policies are 25+. I don't think you're that yet TP?

Nope not yet, 2 more years :o Its still to under go a fair bit of repair work and a bit of modding before it sees any sort of roaduse though

Take your time then and do it right as funds allow. Once you hit 25 and have a daily you can take out a classic policy at cq. €250 pa fully comp.

    What year is the 900?

You've had some hardship with that car. Your as well to go into a honda garage and get a fuel filter and put it in yourself there not normally big money. If buying in motor factors id be careful what brands your buying as there is a huge variance in diesel fuel filter some sh!t ones don't filter to the same micron particle size at all which wouldn't do the injectors any favours. At this stage if I was you I'd just buy one from a dealer as you know it will be right. You'd be suprised how fcuked up a car will run with a dirty fuel filter it can cause so much trouble. I change mine every 30k km to be on the safe side.

Insurance companies vary on the age of a car before they will insure it as classic. Most are 20+ but I've heard of companies insuring 15 year old cars as classics. It'll be over 25 years in 2016 so you should be grand on that front. ;)

Brokers only though for concurrent NCB.

Classic policies are from 10-15-20 year old cars depending on the insurer.
I have had a 1998 car insured as a classic last year for instance (my GMC pickup), that was with Campions but they changed now to 20 years minimum.
