Clyne and berahino out for azpi and Kane. I fancy Kane to get something over the next few weeks. Getting azpi leaves me with 3 Chelsea in my team with fab and hazard. Once silva is fit it will be fab and Rooney out for silva and costa.

I must admit though I am tempted to keep Rooney for the busy Xmas period. I think he could get more game time than costa

Meant to do Fab to Erik last night, Ended up getting drunk instead and missed everything.

Money isn't a problem of course, but the extra 0.1 would have been nice :)

Chadli and Duff both up for the chop but I've decided to not make any transfers this week.

Want to hold it this week and maybe only use 1 the following week to ensure I've 14 playing outfielders for Christmas time.

Do you have a free transfer? If so I'd do Blackett to Cresswell tonight.

    I do have 1 FT.

Have enough to get a Clichy, Demichelis or Kolarov if I move Blackett

West ham or a City defender

Ye IM hoping for a goal fest for qpr and Burnley it was 3 3 last season and ings got 3 over the 2 games v qpr last year. I'm not a fan of 8 strong options but wanted to upgrade Marney I think in time ill downgrade fab to a better cheapie than Marney and get costa in for ings.

Very impressed with how you stick to a plan :) I went back reading your posts from gameweeks 11 and 12 because I remembered you recommending a strong 8 for christmas and looking to see what that was.

I went with the strong 8 myself on that recommendation and have had Downing in my team. I havent played him very often though and it is a lot of money to have ploughed into a position that isn't getting gametime.

You were going to take Ings out, but I see you've left him in on my suggestion ;) - now that you have ploughed the extra cash in midfield, who do you plan on dropping him for for the christmas, or are you keeping him in your team as a cheap 8th option ?

What to do about Chadli is mostly concerning me. Him to Eriksen is probably the most obvious transfer, but think he will return to the starting line up and it would be a shame to be transferring out a player who has a home game against Palace.

This week could be a week when a strong bench is needed quick turnaround in games. There could be some unexpected injuries announced today. Im happy enough with my team so could afford a 1 week punt on eriksen it also meant I could upgrade marney. Ideally I want Kane as my spurs coverage. Initial plans are no transfer next week then ings to Kane. Ill have eriksen and kane for burnley at home. The week after that eriksen to adm, walcott, silva or sterling. Ill then have 2 FTs for Dec 28th. A fabregas yellow will alter that and Ill downgrade fab and get costa in for ings. Ill be keeping ings for 2 weeks max.
Ideal scenario for xmas my front 8 is
Fab hazard sanchez siggy (one of adm silva sterling walcott)
    Kane aguero austin

If ings does the business this week Ill give you the credit.😉

How worried are you about continuing to go without Costa? I had been planning on getting him back next week at the latest. But toying with going on without him. There are a few decent alternative plus I'd be worried about how Costa will handle the Xmas schedule. A rest and/or a niggling injury seen likely. You could say I'm already worried about the costa Christmas! :)

Benteke for one looks sharp and has good fixtures especially the magical gw18-19. Plus he won't be dropped and is villa's main if not only source of goals.

It is still a constant worry but is becoming less as Aguero becomes the default captain for most. Them winning 3 0 with drog and Remy both scoring will hopefully mean costa will miss an Xmas game also. Having fab and Haz should also mean if Costa has a good day they probably will too. Chances are he will get a big score soon just gotta hope not many have the armband on him or Aguero matches his haul.

Anyone worried about Sanchez starting this weekend? I recall at the end of the last international break that he arrived back late and Wenger was annoyed he played two full minutes games. I thought he may have been rested that time.

    See article: http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/dec/05/arsene-wenger-arsenal-alexis-sanchez?

He will start. At Arsenal they can just wrap him in wool and let him recover

This is my predicament also, I'm going to stick with Chadli, hold the transfer and review after the GW.

Downing gets another game or two, decent profit will be cashed in if he remains shunted out to the left for Nolan....

Chadli will be back to play regularly, it's just a matter of when.

there is no way I can see Lennon staying in the team ahead of him.

Anyone else considering Cesc to Eriksen? Tempted to take a 4point it for this

Think he will out score Cesc this week + Cesc impending 1 game ban

Also tempted by Bony to Benteke???

Absolutely not, you will want to move Chambers on soon enough and you really could need a playing fifth midfielder but besides that you've little to worry about. If you want Costa then Cresswell will have to be the one to make way

Not owning Costa hasn't been an issue for the last 7 GWs (cue hatty tomorrow :pac:)

Only Bridcutt, really. If you wanted you could downgrade Mannone to a similarly non-playing 4.0 keeper for a little cash.

So are we all saying no to bringing Costa back in then?

He's not a bad pick and a couple double digit hauls in a row will surely see me bring him back, but I prefer spreading the money saved on him elsewhere in my squad. Even if I had him for Hull next week, I would still captain Hazard over him.

You must have been away (from the forum) for the last few days :pac:...

Not sure any of these transfers are worth a 4 pts hit though, especially that you missed Eriksen rise yesterday.

Might be worth it depending on the other transfer obviously... and if Palace show up or not :p

He should be left at home for the trip to Turkey midweek so will get his rest then. No way Wenger will drop his best player for one of the trickiest away games of the season.

So first post of the season from me. Fairing below average (681) this season due to not sitting in front of a laptop for 8 hours a day, or actually having work to do when I am! A few missed weeks didn't help either.

No Aguero and I can't decide whether to wildcard now, and sort out subs / defence / injury issues etc, or take a two point hit just for Sergio and hang on til Jan to sort out the rest.

    Green / krul
    Chambers / duff / Williams / Hutton / jagielka
    Yaya toure/ fabregas / siggy / sanchez / Davis
    Pelle / Austin / Costa

    0.6 in the bank.

Bite the bullet or tough it out til Jan?

Not worth wildcarding - team looks decent apart from lack of Sergio. If you could get Aguero in for Pelle as part of a 4 point hit, you'd be in good enough shape to get you to the Jan WC, then you can bank your other WC until later in the year. Maybe downing in for either Yaya or Cecs would fund the Aguero move?
