I've decided to keep Costa, Rooney is playing too deep for his price tag. I'll have to play 5-3-2 midweek though.

    No. Stop it.

Yaya is not an option, it's an illusion.

    Dear God not again

Can't quite do the transfers I want so I'll be playing four in the back. Gonna bring Baines in, pending this match, and bench Costa.

Costa is a scourge I can't free myself from.

Silva could be back for Saturday. 1.7m cheaper and a PPG of 4.44 versus 4.17 for Toure (assuming Toure gets 2 BPs today).

Need Baines to stay quiet here.

Doing Bertrand to either Azpi or Terry. Could do with keeping the extra 0.3 by going for Azpi but I'd be worried he might be rotated at Christmas. Is Terry the safest way into their defence?

I'd be more worried about Terry to be honest. Mourinho loves Azpi and I can't see him dropping him at the moment. Terry on the other hand is fast approaching 34. While centre backs tend not to get rotated as much I feel José may opt for Azpi right back in one of the games with Ivan and Cahill in the centre and Luis left back.

Would I be stupid to have Hazard, Fabregas and Costa all in my team?

I have all three in my team currently after doing Di Maria to Hazard last night.

I really don't think Terry will be rested . He is the capt and they will need his physical presence at home to West Ham and then they have southampton away a tough fixture. He didn't get rotated last year azpil did.

could be back for Saturday, could not be - so that would be 2 games out of Toure, could easily downgrade then

Will be interesting to see what happens but it's anyone's guess with José.

I agree. MoTD showed last year how Chelsea lost points when he didn't play (injury) because of poor defending. He's very good with his positioning and organising the Chelsea defence.

team (.1 in the bank, 1FT)
    krul - heaton

    bertrand - baines - hutton - wilson - chambers

    ADM - Sanchez - Siggy - Brady - Boyd

    Aguero - Costa - Pelle

Injury to ADM has made me change my plans, i ultimately want to improve my 4th mid by getting rid of Brady or Boyd. but with ADM injured I think i might just get cesc in for ADM.
I could then bring Eriksen in for Brady & Kane in for Pelle in the next GW but have only .1 to spare so can't afford it with price swings.
would i be better off doing it now for an 8 point hit? i'm not too keen on that as they play chelsea away.
does anyone see any other options? I could bring in austin and hazard for ADM and Pelle at a 4 point hit but that isn't going to solve my 4th midfielder problem.
Bertand is also one that can be transferred but he'll probably escape due to transfers needed elsewhere.

True enough. I'm happy enough with my midfield atm, have 5.5m itb to upgrade Downing. Trying to keep an extra transfer banked for as long as possible coming up to xmas so don't want to use 2 transfers on getting yaya in and out.

Have Krul, Moore, Kaboul, Duff, Di Maria and Costa all potentially missing in Gameweek 14.

Will take advantage of the quick turnaround in Gameweeks to do two transfers today and two on Thursday, only taking a four point hit in each week.

AdM and King to Eriksen and Sterling done for a -4. I imagine i'm not alone in the points hit club for GW14. £0.5M exactly left in the bank for a probable Moore to Robertson transfer for GW15

    GW14 lineup:

    Guzan (Gilks)
    Baines Duff Dummett (Isla, Moore)
    Eriksen Siggy Sterling Sanchez Hazard
    Rooney Austin (Costa)

Playing a dangerous game with no Aguero but trying to think of the bigger picture with my overall squad. Still plan to get him in for City's really nice festive run, hopefully he doesn't go crazy over the next few games, he may even be rested in one of the next two PL games ahead of the absolutely crucial Champs League tie against Roma. Holding on to Costa hopefully that pays dividends as from what i can see he'll have a full week between games (provided he's rested v Sporting) for the next while and that should benefit him with a few nice fixtures in that time.

Is Rooney gonna be injured for midweek?

Shipping ADM for Hazard & Costa for Rooney if he is fit

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,110 ✭✭✭✭eh i dunno

Have to wildcard this week after my 5th shocking week in 6

Now that Falcao is back would be not be a good option?

LVG apparently said Rooney told him he'll be fine.

Yeah I'm using the Wildcard which I'm sure everyone will be happy to hear and won't have to put up with all my chatter over December :pac:

Yun, Duff, Colo and Costa all flagged. Then we have Clyne and Tadic, also Marney could be upgraded whilst Moore can finally be replaced. Downgrading De Gea to 2 serviceable keepers will probably be done just to spread the fixture risk.

Essentially Aguero, Austin, Hazard, Sanchez and Siggy are the only ones safe in my team.

Yes, but Mr.P, the real question is: are you actually going to use your wildcard? ;)

Yes, but Mr.P, the real question is: are you actually going to use your wildcard? ;)

If my only defender is Clyne and also no Costa up front then yes I think it's time :D

Might even activate it tonight so there's no backing out :pac: Of course there could be a miraculous healing but no this is the week I've been waiting for. An injury crisis has hit, I can see who's starting in the Tuesday fixtures and I can set myself up for December quite nicely. It just feels like the right time

Selling ddg I'm thinking of bringing him in. Who are you thinking of going with.

Haven't thought about it too much but Guzan and somebody else at 4.5. It's more to do with the fear of cancelled games and having 15 starters rather than 14. United have picked things up a lot and as a United fan absolutely adore Big Dave but trying to look at it objectively. There's a lot of away games for United and Saints and Pool in the next 3 too.

I would have preferred to wait for team sheets on Tuesday, but ADM down and Siggy up tonight forces my hand. Yaya is interesting, but he would require a hit and I'm already thinking about what I can do with the 3.2m in the bank now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,683 ✭✭✭✭wonski

Aarons out (don't ask) - Eriksen in.

I haven't noticed Aaron dropping in price and was short 0.1, as a result Duff out - Wasilewski( current price 3.9) in.

Not a hit I would normally consider but had to be done.

Here's my 1st draft wildcard thoughts:

    KtQfyWz.jpg?1

Busts got in my head with De Gea and I may have been hasty to consider ditching him now. Panti for 0.4 gives me security of a 2nd starting keeper with decent Xmas fixtures.

A team of 1st choice players is what you want for December and this is what I have got. Mirallas is probably the odd one out but he's one of those players I always dabble with. If Costa becomes necessary I can get him in a transfer or two but I want to try going it alone for a while. Austin and Jedinak rotate quite well home and away too.

The Jan WC will always be there in a month or so anyway.

I expect to see RVP in your next draft Mr. P!

I've already done AdM to Siggy this week, I'll be dumping Costa and I might be bringing in the postman.
With the view to switching him to Falcao who should be fresh by the time the Christmas madness comes.

Good team. Maybe a bit too much spent in defence. Don't you fancy any Newcastle cheapie (e.g. Dummett) since they have a nice run of fixtures until the Jan WC, particularly during the hectic Christmas period?
