I've a choice of three transfers:

    Moore to Terry
    Forster to Green
    Fabregas to Hazard

My thinking is Chelsea are away so I'll go Forster to Green for now and then bring Hazard in for the midweek Chelsea home game vs Spurs. Fab may even get his yellow card tomorrow.

    Opinions?

Depending on your other defenders available for tomorrow. I'd probably look at getting rid of moore.

I have Dummett (away to West Ham), Taylor (home to Palace) and Chambers (away to West Brom). I'm happy enough with those fixtures.

I'd prefer to get rid of Forster ahead of their tough week. I'm thinking Green but some are making a good case for Guzan.

I'd prefer Guzan over green. I don't think I could have 2 qpr players starting for me every week. The only problem with your back line is if Taylor gets that 5th yellow and then you have moore not playing.

Though good news for those of us who started the season with the Krul/Eliot combo but sold Krul and haven't had a spare transfer to do anything with Eliot!

I'll still have Wisdom fit to come in, plus Moore will be going for Terry after the midweek game. Looking at the fixtures:

    Green:
    Leicester home
    Swansea away
    Burnley home
    Everton away
    West Brom home
    Arsenal away
    Palace home
    Swansea home
    Burnley away
    Man United home

    Guzan:
    Burnley (A)
    Palace (A)
    Leicester (H)
    West Brom (A)
    United (H)
    Swansea (A)
    Sunderland (H)
    Palace (H)
    Leicester (A)
    Liverpool (H)

I'm going to stick with Green. I can't see Villa shutting out anyone bar Leicester in their next six. Guzan has four clean sheets but three of them came in the first four games. They also have three away games in their next four.

Green only has two clean sheets but I see QPR as a team improving while Villa after going the other way after a good start. I also rate Harry above Lambert.

I went for Guzan, but was considering Green. 2 things swung it for me. First is that , as you say, 2 apr players is too many (for me anyway), and I already have Austin. And the 2nd is that Villa seem more capable of keeping clean sheets than QPR. Villa have 4 this year to QPR's 2.

I hope my Villa bias isn't influencing my opinion here, but I think Villa are streadying as a team in the last couple of games. They kept out West Ham, and only conceded 1 to a good Southampton team.

QPR as a team probably offer more than Villa, but I see the Villa defence as a bit more steady.

Guzan has had a very tough last 8 games though arsenal Chelsea city everton spurs southampton.

Is Guzan not missing alot of his defence at the minute?

Yes, but Okore and Clark played very well vs SOU.

Yas are slowly convincing me lads but the three away games in the next four is the next problem in my mind.

Villa last cleanie (vs West Ham) was away from home.

If that doesn't convince you, I give up!!

Edit: 3 of Villas 4 cleanies have been away. Check out Iroced's extensive posts in the GK thread for how Guzan ranks for away points.

Downing to siggy or bank the transfer? I actually thought I did the transfer earlier in the week to avail of siggy's price rise but I forgot so leaning towards banking it now. Boyd to come off the bench If downing misses out.

I think green has a better chance of a CS tomorrow don't think leicester have scored in weeks I'd prefer Guzan after that. Mentioned it before but would you consider courtois it solves two problems for you. You replace your goalie and you get the Chelsea defensive coverage you want. Moore can then be switched for Yun or Hutton and you can play them in the games your happy with instead of having to go with villa or qpr defensive coverage every week.

I think Downing will start personally

He seems very likely to. Guardian preview states that he will.

On another note. My back three is currently on Duff (Villa h), Chambers (WBA a) and Hutton (Burnley a). Would yis start Dummet (WHU a) ahead of any of those three??

I'd say Dummett and Hutton is a coin flip. West Ham will be without Sakho and Valencia and Newcastle are in great defensive form (although maybe no Krul). Duff might miss out anyway through injury.

Have no keeper if Krul is injured. Would I be mad to do Myhill to Elliot for -4?

    My backline is
    Krul (Mannone)
    Clyne, Dummett, Yun, Chambers, Wisdom.

Who would you start out of them??

Thinking of going Krul, Dummett, Yun and Chambers.

Have Baines, Chadli and Duff. All injury concerns yet I want to transfer out Pelle for Bony. Am I mad?

Bit risky alright. Might see some rotation with matches coming again so soon. Having said that I would imagine most are going into this weekend with a couple of doubts at least. I used my two FTs to take out Pelle & Tadic now have 4 flags dammit!!

    Cheers for the advertisement :D.

@Lemlin: Yeah chosing between Guzan and Green sounds like a nightmare. They both have a nice run of fixtures up to the Jan WC, particularly during the hectic Christmas period with 3 home games out of 4.

One criteria to help you deciding between the 2 is if you have or plan to have a def from one of these 2 teams. In this regard Guzan - Yun has an unbeatable price attrait while Green - Hutton probably offers more playtime guarantee for £0.3m more (only).

If you don't envisage one of these def, as OneColdHand mentioned, Guzan away form has been a hell of a lot better than his home form while Green is the exact opposite (though he's been better lately getting thrice 3 pts in his last 4 away).

Green could be great to couple with CP since they rotate pretty well and have both a good home form. It requires £9.5m though so may not be what you're looking at.

Speaking of pairing Guzan/Foster works perfectly though WB fixtures are ot great and these 2 GK score a lot more away than at home...

If you consider a GK you'll play week in week out I think Green is a a little better a prospect than Guzan. Up to the Jan WC he'll face 5 home games out of 8 vs 4 for Guzan. Granted Guzan gets more pts away but it sounds crazy to plan for your keeper's away pts. And in the meantime Green may well get more home pts.

I'm considering ignoring my defence as both Duff and Coloccini could both easily play or not play. Happy to play Clyne and Yun and then there's Moore who's beginning to ferment now.

However still looking at a -4 with Pelle and Tadic heading off for a Saintly rest. Thinking Bony in for Pelle which along with ejecting Tadic leaves me 7.4 to spend on a replacement. I've got 2 names in mind, but not exclusively down to them:

    Fellaini and Mirallas :D

Maybe I should just have some chocolate or a beer instead as I seem to be craving something Belgian :pac:

I wouldn't trust him to start, and for that it's also another reason not to get Fellaini incase he did.

Same goes for Mirallas. He probably won't even play Sunday after the Europa. Have I mentioned I don't like Martinez's rotation :(

Lukaku looks livelier when Mirallas is on the pitch so maybe that's the way to go. Or Eto'o :pac:

Nobbie Nolan not deserve a 2nd chance? Personally think Herrera when fit will be automatic 1st choice
