Ah you know the person? I was thinking maybe he is stuck in the ditch and needs help

No he's just a weirdo, he always does terrible weird stuff, like driving his tractor up and down the road when there's people moving cattle, just so he can Rev it up as the cattle pass him, to scare them and make them scatter. He's a jerk. Though even I was surprised he was out at 5:30

It should be legal to give these people a smack on the bake.

The new Annie is black:confused: I see all people as being equal, regardless of religion, colour etc, that being said Annie was not black so it's ridiculous to cast a black child in the role, regardless of how fcuking politically correct they think they're being. Jaysus, the world is going mad.

I don't see the issue. I'm sure she's been played by non red headed white actresses before.

No, she hasn't. A frizzy haired ginger, freckle faced white girl is the character. Not a dark haired, freckle free kid or a black kid or an Asian kid or an Irish kid. I really don't see the point of changing the characters skin colour for any reason other than to make yet another issue out of black versus white. It's weird and pointless.

But what if you're putting a play on in a predominantly black country? It makes zero difference, it's called acting because anyone can play the character.

Jesus is regularly played by a what seems to be a completely white European.

But imagine making a movie about Nelson Mandela and having the character cast as a white man

It would be extremely patronising to black people to make the character black when she's white, simply because there were more black than white people in the country. Annie was supposed to be the kind of kid that was unlikely to be adopted because she wasn't pretty.

But if you were to cast a play, film etc. and went through whatever amount of actors for a part who were awful and wouldn't work to any degree, then came across one who didn't fit the physical description, but was great otherwise for the part, this actor wouldn't be cast?

I understand where you're coming from but I don't think characters should be constricted like that...Sure men played women til not too long ago!

In any case, two different opinions and that's that!

NO, your opinion doesn't count.:P Casting a character that's the polar opposite of the original character is like making Mickey mouse a Cat. It's that different.:D

That's what he was doing, in between fogging up the window with his breath and drawing pictures in it with his grubby little hands.
