Not too trivial, but the way that no matter how cheaply we try to do Christmas shopping it always costs a lot more than anticipated.:( I've been a busy bee on Amazon and got some great deals, but feck it, it still ain't cheap. I expect a 'chat' with Mr Pumpkinseeds later.

This is a bit more than TA to be honest, but I dont fancy personal issues at moment, so here goes.

    When my temper rises.
    it really annoys me.
Have any of you parents here ever gotten that volcanic rage inside you when you feel someone is trying to make a mug of one of your children. I know its irrational, because shes a grown woman now really, , but to me she is still my little girl.
I felt someone was messing her about, and a bubbling rage rose in me.
I blew my **** out of the water.

Turns out, wasnt quite what I thought it was.

I hate that. Really annoys me.

Grand now though. ...kind of :)

Christmas was grand for me this year because I started really early and bought in stages but then again I spend money like its on fire, didn't spend an awful lot this year to be honest.

TA I have another kidney infection. I never used to get kidney infections but now I get them loads. 20% off on asos tonight too. I'm going to have to use my emergency card.

As tragic the death of Australian cricketer Philip Hughes is, the clamour for an improvement in safety gear and procedure really gets up my goat. The physician who treated the injury today said that only a hundred or so such incidents occured before, with only one of those involving a cricket ball. It was unfortunately a very freak accident.

I don't see such outcrys for safety reform in rugby, in a week which saw Chris Henry have heart surgery after a blocked blood vessel in the brain, and which saw Sexton, Darcy, Kearney and Murray all depart the match vs Australia with concussions (or similar injuries). I know they have introduced a concussion protocol, but the risk of serious injury is still far,far more likely in rugby than in cricket.

I'd say the people crying out for better safety in cricket are the same people that wrap their children in bubble wrap, and would rather keep them indoors on their tablets/game's consoles than outdoors at the risk of the elements.

I think you might be misunderstanding. I am gay. However, my sexuality is not my primary, defining characteristic which is what using "gay" as a noun does: it reduces a person to their sexuality.

Particularly annoying is when others use "the gays", as if we're some monolithic bloc. We're not, really. The only thing we have in common is our sexuality. It's like saying "the talls" or "the long hairds".

"Gay" is an adjective, not a noun.

I understood perfectly....ah well some folk have no sense of humour...

Aw that is so kind! Not very likely but I do have a free bus pass burning a hole in my bag... Only time in Dublin was coming to Ireland nearly 14 years ago.. from a tiny offshore Scottish island..

Should be through the worst by Craft Fair on Sunday, and it is Killarney so the car knows its way there and there is usually help unloading etc.

them pundits off of the spurs last night sayin that the pitch invaders were a disgrace, etc. nonsense, its always a bit of fun. ive never heard of anyone runnin onto the pitch and shottin people up

People who do really weird and stupid stuff just for lols. I had to collect my brother this morning to bring him to work. I was driving out country roads, no street lights, everywhere in darkness, at 5:30. Next thing, this flash light shines out onto the road, out of the ditch. Obviously I got a fright and swerved, right into a massive pothole in the road and it honestly sounded like I'd broken something. I drove on expecting my wheel to be in ****e when I got out home.

Seriously, who hides in the ditches at crazy o clock to alarm people driving along? That oddball is forever doing weird odd **** that winds people up no end.

It is a disgrace given that they were doing it to make another stupid 'prank' viral video.
    Streakers are fun.
Idiots wearing their own webisode branded t-shirts to gain popularity while disrupting a game 3 times, leading to the players being brought off the pitch is not fun.

There are considerations for midweek european games that alot of people take, and they would be on strict deadlines to get to tubes/airports etc.
There are also the parents who brought thier children out to a night of European football, probably spent over £200 on tickets for a family event and were subjected to that sh*te.

I understand that, and it is a poor show from the security at the game, but it was really a non-event that had no consequences for the game. Though I do agree with people on tight schedules, etc.

edit: I'm not saying it's fine for pitch invaders, etc. I was just annoyed at how the pundits made it seem like an atom bomb was dropped on schoolchildren or something.

It had lots of consequences in the game!
Momentum disappears. Not to mention the breaks the players had to take, bodies cooling down, then heating up, cooling down etc....that's the type of thing that leads to injury.

Dont get me wrong, I was laughing at the first guy......but it went way to far.

You're right about the injuries but...if it had happened 2 or 3 minutes later the half would've been up anyway! Ah well, I had good craic watching it on TV.

I'd a good laugh when the commentators said "the time on the top left is UEFA time, but we've no idea how long is left!"

White Hart Lane is a bit of a nightmare to get to on public transport too, it's quite a long walk from the stadium to trains in any direction through a quite rough area. Delays only make the whole thing more painful.

Happened to me once in LIDL in Sligo.. I had apparently not validated a new card. Nice manager got his security man to drive me to the bank to get cash. And they kept my trolley for me.
