Kinda torn between Toyo Proxes and Vredestein Sportracs for the Civic.
Great having normal sized wheels for once.

I had Toyo Proxies T1Rs on mx5 and those were great, but I found them to wear very damn fast!

I had them on the FTO and they wear quick enough alright.
Might get the Vreds so. Had them on the mothers old 323 and they transformed it vs whatever she had on it before.

    P.S. this isn't the Honda.
P.S.S I noticed that the car took a bit longer to start when cold. Fcuk it anyway.

    Muppets.

Also. It's official. Mazda Rx8 is the most reliable car in the house. The Megane has decided that it does not like the diesel it was fed and has gotten 'difficult' to start. It also starts throwing an electronic wobbly when the turbo kicks in. I'm guessing fuel pump or filter....

They like going through there fuel pumps and injectors alright. We had two and didn't have any trouble with the 07 one but the 04 one was a disaster for electrical stuff constant lights on the dash but never logging fault codes and didn't seem to have actual problems.

From about 06 facelift meganes were a lot better I was talking to the buy we sold that 07 megane into it he sold it this year with 320k km on it and no issues at all from his ownership. When we sold it to him with 200k km on it.

I done some lessons in a 07 Clio and the instructor has it from new 250k km on it when I was in it 3 years ago and he still has it. It was never in the garage for anything other than servicing and brakes and that yoke is on the road 12 hours a day. But it was the slowest death trap of a yoke I was ever in. 70kmh and the yoke was roaring at you in fifth gear.

I wouldn't mind so much but tomorrow I needed a car to go and pick the Honda up which is about 30km away from me.
The fooking odds of this going to **** 24 hours before are amazing.

I think it just picked up some **** in the bottom of the tank. It's not even two years old and it got stupid low on fuel before getting fed Applegreen.

Probably the starter relay. Try giving it a bump start?

Ah right I thought it of 07 for some reason. Good chance it's a dirty fuel filter. Renault used to have ridiculously high intervals for changing the fuel filter 60k km on some stuff. When my dad has a good few Renault vans on the road there was a few that started cutting out dead on the road turned out Renault had only been changing the fuel filters every 60k km and they were filty that was the problem.

Yeah I just came back from trying. It starts to click and I almost got it started but it just wouldn't budge.
New starter it is I think.

You need the car now? If there's enough power to click the starter there's enough for her to start on a push.

Trust me I was pushing like a bastard :D
Now and again the clicking would come on, trying banging on it as well and I checked the terminals but the connections are good and hitting the solenoid does nothing.
Say I'd say it's completely goosed. Well I did need it and more than anything for tomorrow.
Wife is at home now so at least that's ok.

If you've even a small glimmer of light on the dash she should start on a push. If not there's a bigger problem.

Was I whinging on here about my job recently?

I now appear to have about five different options work wise

Just as well as the m50 mpg is pissing me off

    On the car front:
    Blowing from the exhaust
    Airbag light on
    Potential dead wishbone

Am hoping to rectify all before the NCT

All you need now is thermostat stuck open, an earth fault in your lights and impending belt/tensioner doom to complete the set!

The thermostat is stuck open, however the lights and belts are fine :) However I do have a door lock sticking problem which means the door flies open at random, and the LCD is telling me it's March one

My third year college fees got me today, €4000, didn't realise it as I got credits for modules in year one and two, sitting here mildly horrified and thinking of selling the alfa and going ****/ bangernomics

    02 156 V6 2,5

The upper wishbone on the nearside front also appears to be going.

God how I wish I was a girl sometimes :D

You won't save much if anything short term changing, I would think its worth very little as is.Weekend away money, no offence meant. Is it not a recent purchase? Seems to be in rag order.

I'm fairly sure you don't know this car tbh, and I'm being kind
It was rebuilt by a member on here, then not driven for a year.

I consider those issues minor, as I look after my cars the wishbone issue only came up last weekend when I/we were servicing the car and we jumped on the suspension

I'm one of the rare breed of owners who listen to their cars and questions anything weird, so much so that when I take my OHs car to our mechanic he listens to me and we have a laugh at the Oh

I'd spent about 500e on a weekend away, would you spend that on a car ?

I've spent far less. It was nasty. The car I mean...
I did once complete the full set of typical Italian faults unfortunately.

My point was your car is worth about the price of a weekend away, call that 500.
If you consider the items minor why bitch and moan about going bangernomics due to them?

Shur there'd be no fun in having an Italian car if you couldn't laugh at the predictable unpredictability of them?
