The obsession with candles. They're dangerous, get in the way, and can be messy!

An assignment that's half done, and due in 9 hours. And I've spent the last two hours on Facebook and now I'm on here. Feck anyway.

Standing on a slug/snail when you're wearing socks, of course it's worse if you're in bare feet.

People who drive at a snails pace, pretty much the entire road is a continuous white line and then when you can actually pass on the very short stretch of straight road, you indicate and go about overtaking, they start driving faster making it nearly impossible to get out passed them. Why?!

Everyone using that stupid #breaktheinternet hashtag now.. ffs stop it already!

Went to the gym yesterday evening for the first time in a few weeks, and they've changed everything around and added lots of stuff that I won't be using anyway and removed machines that I did actually use. Meh. It was really busy too, and the smell in there was something else! Hated every minute of it!

Fooking inane conversations with the idiots I work with.
"That's some rain out this morning, isn't it?" Not really.
"Did you get wet?" No, funnily enough, while driving my motorbike to work in the rain I managed to stay dry.
"Can you get wipers for your helmet like windscreen wipers?" ...
"Does the rain stick to the front of your helmet or is it made from special material so that the rain just flicks off?" ...

My boss makes me laugh "Oh I was thinking of you this morning driving up in that rain". (a) no you weren't and (b) no you weren't.

yeah we are paying for our summer now oh but it's still quite mild isn't it yes as long as the rain stays off that's the main thing oh my God is it raining again I don't think that was forecast we might even get a bit of snow wouldn't that be lovely oh wait is that acid falling from the sky oh dear I can't believe it I left the washing out so any plans for the weekend oh well you know it depends on the weather yeah yeah that's true ah hopefully the rain will hold off you know rain rain fúcking rain acid falling from the fúcking sky oh how we love when acid falls from the sky

    Bang.

    Bang.

    You're all dead.

On the way to work I had to stop at the bank to lodge cash, I'm there just about to get started at the quick lodge machine when this wan walks up to me and was like "sorry but are you lodging money?" Um yeah? "Oh, you are?"

What the ****? I don't know why it annoyed me so much but I'm still annoyed now

I fell into the arms of a handsome stranger last night when I lost my footing on public transport. TA that I am such a cliché.

That figures. I have this mental image of you as a hybrid of Ingrid Bergman and Michael Douglas in "Falling Down"! :pac:

Why was it any of her business? Did she not realise you could do such a thing? Or was she implying that you might take longer? Or that if she was taking out money she should have been allowed to go first as this was a more urgent transaction than lodging? I'm TA'd now too!

I have this weird thing when people hurry me, it actually makes me go slower. It's completely beyond my control*. Whether they are drumming their fingers impatiently on a counter, driving up my rear end, breathing down my neck in a queue or hoping from one foot to another. I just....slow....right.......down so that the ignorant fúckers have to wait longer....

    *honest ;)

We should form a group where we all get to go somewhere and sit in complete silence :D

That just turns my stomach. One of the washing machine mouths I work with is constantly sniffing and snorting when she's talking to you. Do you think I'd get into trouble if I smacked her head off her desk and broke her nose?

I told one of the washing machine mouths that she was eating very noisily yesterday.
She was chomping on granola and talking at the same time.
"Nom nom, mmm, ummm, and then this happened, nomnomnommmmm, slurp slurp and wait until I tell you, nom nom" etc.
So I said "Jesus you're chewing very loudly over there today, I feel like slicing my ears off".
And she said "Oh am I? Sorry" and she wasn't sorry because she proceeded to continue eating her food in the exact same way, like an animal going at a carcass on the serengeti.
A few minutes later then she said "Oh I'm so conscious about eating with my mouth open now". SO YOU SHOULD BE YOU DIRTY ANIMAL!!! And for the record, if she was conscious of it she wouldn't continue doing it.

Besides my grumpy post on this thread, I'm generally a faqirly decent sort of fellow, who will chit chat with folk in the office if they engage, and help out with things around the office that would be not in my job description.

For example, there is some odd thing in the canteen where all the outlets on one wall will stop working, I know how to sort it out, just a matter of tripping a switch. Easy.

I also help the cleaning lady out with a few bits and bobs, if she needs any heavy lifting done or to get anything from top shelves as she is short.
One thing that I do for her is fill the coffee machine with beans when it goes low. I know where the key and stock are.
Today I noticed it was running low, the cleaning lady gave me the nod so I started to replenish. The other people stood around in shock like they had just witnessed the first wheel being invented.

A few hundred pages back I mentioned that I didn't like dealing with wheeler dealer types and a few people responded with stories about people making ridiculous offers for cars they were trying to sell. Well, I've had a similar experience.

My wife advertised our 2008 Hyundai Accent for sale, we got an Espace to replace it and had to get rid of it due to a lack of parking space.

A guy has been phoning her relentlessly to try and get it. Firstly he offered €1000, even though it was advertised below true value at €2250. He's got all the patter "Ah sure, it's not worth that" and "Ah ye will, ye will sell it to me" and the best one "Sure, those Accents are terrible cars, no one wants to buy them". When my wife mentioned that we got an Espace he then started trying to convince her to swap the Accent for an 2000 Mondeo estate.

When she sold it to someone else for the asking price he called a few times wanting to know who bought it and for what price. It was only after she blocked his number that we got rid of him.

Bob Geldof is annyoing me at the moment, he had a go at Adele for not taking part in #7?***3Bola saying she was doing nothing. FFS the woman had a baby 18 months ago looking after a toddler is as far from doing nothing as you can get.
