It's that time of the year again where record companies and so called philanthropists gather to record a single to help the "needy", when the actual fact is most of the money doesn't get to where it needs to go it goes to pay the wages of all involved in the project,

the simple thing is the problems in africa will never be solved they don't want to help people in africa as it would effect the world balance, if you took all the money spent on war and killing each other over the last few years you could have wiped out hunger and gotten plenty of steak and lobsters, caviar and truffles for everyone and put a roof over everyones head,

You should stage a peaceful protest OP.

One simple way would be not buying the single.

You sure it's the real Bono or just Paul Weller doing his Bono impression?

Sting turned off the heat in his servants quarters to help those in Africa.

    True story.

It was on the radio this morning. There are a lot of people on it doing a **** Bono impression.

    Awful version as well.

One thing is certain though. If they try following this up with another Live Aid concert out in Wembley like they did last time, it could never be the same.

    Not without Freddie Mercury.

The vast majority of "charities" can suck my bell end.

I donate regularly, but i only do so to charities that can demonstrate a low and realistic administration cost.
THe likes of Trocaire with it's 80%+ admin cost rate sickens me.

    Through the medium of dance

Ignoring idiots who comment "far right" because they don't even know what it means

Considering she is one of the greatest female vocalists of all time...

I was watching it on the X Factor results thing last night for the video debut.

Oh, there's One Direction, oh and Bono, Chris Martin, Olly Murs et al.

They then cut to the ad break after it and what do you know, you can pre-order the One Direction album and buy the Olly Murs album RIGHT NOW!

Where was Jessie J though? She always get's her face involved with this kind of thing?

I would give it a while before you invite the whole of band aid to suck it so. You don't need a flare up.

    Ah come on now.

The song is shocking, and the video it pure cringe.

It's so poor, I couldn't tell if they were singing "Feed the World" or "Heal the World".

    Greatest Irish? Yes, unquestionably.

    Of All Time? GTFO ;)

Well done to bandaids, for those wretched 3 minutes I felt like I had Ebola myself.

That's the point of the record right?

I don't disagree, someone was asking how she managed to get into it, as if she had no right to be alongside Chris Martin or Ellie f*cking Goulding

I've avoided watching the video and I won't be buying it. This is what, 30 years after the first Band Aid? and the same problems still exist. Somethings seriously wrong somewhere. Feck all of the proceeds from it will reach ebola sufferers, what isn't spent on admin fees will be creamed off the top by corrupt dictators.

Ethiopia now has a population of 90 million thanks to Ser Bob & the Catholic Church, larger population than the UK, France, Germany so it's safe to say that's solved.

Ebola, while a worthy cause has been over-hyped by the 24 hour need something to say media.
Flu has killed hundreds times more but it's hard to get people excited about flu.
Feck it, I'll buy 5 anyway so I'll feel good about myself & think of all the smiling babies I've saved.

    Nah, just the usual mis-information.

    9% is used for administration.
