Ah Mary, I'm just happy in the knowledge that me and my fellow Dubs are keeping your streetlights on and your footpaths in good order.
It's all take take take with you lot, isn't it.....
Mary's question is a good one. Do you still think the photo is a fake?

I would like to see IW to cease trading and water to remain controlled by government/local auth

Pains you doesn't it, just like you're aching to have to admit that the photo wasn't faked!

I wouldnt pay much heed to that type of commentary

I'm just sick to the back teeth of class profiling and all that utter nonsense. That said im probably more aware of it than the next person. Interesting that the 3 tier divergence was mentioned because its attitudes like Kermits that directly contributes to this change in society.

The caption says "A rioter throws a brick at a garda car during a Anti Water charges demonstration in Jobestown yesterday. Photo: Tony Gavin".

What's your argument? That there was only one brick, singular? If so, cop yourself on and stop wasting people's time.

The article has been updated, it was completely different when I read it first. It didn't have all the pics of the bloke throwing the brick either.

Your posts have a definite whiff of welfare fetish about them.

Welfare wasn't mentioned yet you immediately wade in!!

    Looked fake.
    Obviously wasn't.
So what? Once I hear the independent's name linked to anything I dismiss it.
    Sorry.

    No no.

You were propagating a notion of all people in jobstown as jobless good for nothings.

Showing both you're ignorance and your true colours.

How do expect anyone to take you seriously with that commentary?

    Not really.
She was moaning on yesterday about people paying for other's water.
I just reminded her that us Dubs pay a far higher LPT which subsidises places like tipperary.

    Sorry.

Just to confirm the photos authenticity, have a look at the updated article. Disgraceful. Is this what our taxes are being wasted on? http://www.independent.ie/irish-news/two-arrested-in-jobstown-as-chaos-ensues-following-protests-at-tanaistes-visit-30747541.html

I think we have a right to profile the individuals attacking Irish water workers, public representatives and causing distress in communities.

What do you think? Nobody should condemn the behaviour today?

You must be like Paul "we agree to let her go" Murphy.

I asked you why you were generalising with zero factual basis. You retorted that you know Jobstown very well (which clearly isn't true), and spiel off about how the vast majority are good for nothing leeches that contribute nothing to society and that Garda relations have always been poor in that area (again not true). So I have to ask, why do you insist on profiling people based on where they are from?

Ah, Tinker. Lets be friends and make up. Hmm? I don't mind paying for your water, if you take over paying for my Helicopter transport. Deal?

I read what you said several of your posts have an underlying core of disdain for jobstown. Because 'you know the area'

You (and quote a few more here) believe the Independent is biased. (Personally I don't see it but I only read parts of what they put up online).

So it is of interest to know how you came to conclude that they are bias.

There was at least one Socialist Councillor along with Paul Murphy, neither of whom are from the area.

    So what.

    Neither is Joan.

Well they did dedicate a whole issue and online content Last week on sinn fein and gerry Adams. It was all rather odd for a so called 'news' paper

Complete and utter bull crap. I never said any such thing. And FYI I know the area very well as I said. Delicate much?

You actually have to question the bias of the independent and the sunday independent?
    Seriously?

They did. But they also had three articles (that I read) that were critical of FG / the government. Also odd if they are a mouthpiece for the same.

They are hostile to SF certainly. But supporters of FG?

It's my observation. And I stand 100% by what I said which is not what you said that I said.

And very few who actually know the area will disagree with me.
