I do not like Russell Brand.
I do not like the Irish accent he puts on.
I do like like his hair.

But I agree with what he says.

He seems to have mellowed with age. slightly!

He still looks like he might leap up at any moment and take a running jump through the window, cackling maniacally, father jack style

This from a guy who clearly never uses water.

So the incoherent is indignant about the incomprehensible. Or is it the other way around?

Government resting upon the will and universal suffrage of the people has no anchorage except in the people's intelligence.

Has quite the track record of offending people with different accents, does Russell.

That's the only remotely interesting thing about him

Have to say never liked him few years back but by jesus he speaks I lot of sense now.

    I miss Russell's radio show.
Him & Matt Morgan & Noel Gallagher made some good radio.

Water charges aside (I'm undecided on this - IW is a mess though, that's undeniable) - that floppy haired tosser can fcuk off

    Sense?!
I just got more sense out of my dog when I asked her why she ate my toe nail clippings

The only funny thing about him is his pathetic attempt to re-brand (pun not intended) himself as some sort of intellectual fighting for the common man. Odd he needed to go down the populist route after his shameful prank-call stunt.

I heard of the name Russell Brand before but I'll be completely honest, I don't know who he is or what he does? Is he a singer? An acter? A comedian? I suppose a Google will sort that out for me.

I watched his video last night about Irish water and I admire him for it.

Are the water charges not paying for the water infrastructure and treatment rather than the water itself? I don't understand how this amounts to being charged for a human right.

I don't really get the fuss about having to pay for water services, aside from the fact that the water quality isn't great (you'd hope paying for the service would lead to an improvement) and Irish Water seems predictably shadily structured. Wikipedia, the great bastion of all accurate information, tells me that the 'lowest water tariffs in the world are found in Ireland and Turkmenistan, where residential water is provided for free'.

Would Brand agree that every single country in the world apart from Turkmenistan is violating human rights by charging for water services?

[I'm not living in Ireland at the moment so maybe I'm missing some of the intricacies of why everyone seems so pissed off. If so, could someone relieve my ignorance?]

He really is going for that martyr / messiah look with that thing around his head and the Che Guevara thumbnail.

We're already paying for water through general taxation. Being asked to pay for something twice, and which has been made a complete balls of by the gov == people pissed off.

    Not in Ireland?
You won't be paying for water twice so.

I have always hated him and everything he said has been wrong in the past but because his view is the same as mine on this one particular issue I'm willing to ignore all his past and hold him up as a representative of the Gods.

Regardless, I don't accept that you (and others) are not capable of a simple google search.

Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day. He's a tw*t with many a populist agenda, and by the calibre of this gem, he clearly thinks he's of a superior nationality to us.

Funny how he likes to bash elitism and then there's lovely pics like this floating around the place:

I betcha there was actually (not pictured) four burly men holding him back from attacking her.

I often couldn't be bothered me arse googling something. It's easier to ask someone else do it.
