    what attitudes ? I am an egalitarian. No more, no less. I resent sexism directed at me because of my male gender. You just said some disgusting things actually which you could not back up. I backed up with links and proof everything I said. Throwing your toys out of the pram now ?

    Personally I think the OP is mistaking something nasty like misogyny for something innocent like bravado. I mean I don't think any male posting on the threads about women of late would say he hates women, he probably hates some comments that have been made that make the male species sound like a bunch of bastards so retaliates with something like "women these days pah" (which I can guarantee is a phrase most if not all males have used at one point or another around their mothers, sisters, friends in the same manner as in in jest) but women are just as guilty of using phrases like "Typical male blah blah blah".

    The battle of the sexes is a two sided coin, Heads is misogynists versus feminists who both go all out to insult each other and Tails is mostly just males and females trying to get one up on each other for the laugh (or sometimes to flirt) and on here it is mostly Tails. Obvious phrases like "Why aren't you in the kitchen making the sandwiches?" aren't intended as a misogynistic comments, it is using stereotypes as a tool to generate a laugh (which seems to be acceptable if Southpark or The Simpsons do it) yet according to the OP that would be misogynist. Granted there are some dicks who take it to far and are rude in what they say but the mods are pretty quick to react to those and they are few and far between (one created about 10 accounts just to keep it up on the "Sexy street harassment" thread so eventually all his accounts were ignored by everyone until he either got the hint or got bored not getting the attention he craved) but I wouldn't call that small amount "frightening". OP you are being to hard on the guys on here, you can't just assume that every mildly sexist comment made on here is posted by a guy sitting behind a keyboard thinking "I'll show those ****ing bitches who's ****ing boss", most are posted by guys sitting behind a keyboard thinking "OK I'll post this for a laugh because she seems like she can take a joke so I'll see if I can get a few giggles". Lay off using big scary words for what is essentially a very small isolated problem that doesn't apply to 99.9% of the guys on here

    You are a deeply unpleasant poster.

    Your rudeness, you inability to form coherent argument your personal insults and general tone of aggressiveness. You seem to be the only one in the thread who is angry to me. Not angry about an idea but towards other posters.

    Links do not an argument proof. Logic proves argument. Substantiated facts or neutrally peer reviewed material not something that someone wrote on the internet on an anti-feminist site. It would be like quoting Germaine Greer and using it to back up a feminist argument.

    That is a good point. But your take on what is bravado is not the same as everyone's. We all share space. It's generally a good idea to give and take. Feminists can't have it all their own way of course but some on here take it too far.

    I arrived pretty late to the thread but I must say Feminism steals the show for controversial stuff to write about. At 35 pages I would be surprised if any original topic was not exhausted by now. What do you think about how men could not meet peacefully in Toronto to discuss mens issues? The Youtube is pretty damning of feminists. They rang in bomb threats, were aggressive and pulled fire alarms etc.

    We are not discussing youtube, we are discussing Boards.

    I'm still waiting for any examples of female Boardsies who denigrate men in the same measure as male boardsies denigrate women?

    Yes her. But from a male perspective this whole movement appears very frightening. take what Hilary Clinton said for example. She said that ''Women have always been the primary victims of war. Women lose their husbands, their fathers, their sons in combat''. Well tell that to all those men propping up a gravestone somewhere. I am sure that will make them and all those paraplegic men feel better, right ?

    Feminism in combination with cultural marxism appears to have a goal of eliminating male spaces. Men in the NFL in America wearing breast cancer ribbons but no prostate cancer programmes. The destruction both cancers do is roughly equal yet funding for male cancer is a fraction.

    A NFL player has a domestic violence incident with his wife and the feminists want him banned from his career and livelihood forever. yet a female sports star beats on her husband or a female celebrity brags about beating up her boyfriend on Television and nobody says a word.

    143 servicewomen have died in combat too. Many others are left to bring up children alone at home.

    War is shitty for everyone involved. Your point?

    You are obviously not paying attention. I have repeatedly supported egalitarianism. There is practically nothing a woman can do to make me hate or discriminate against her gender since I believe we are designed by nature to need one another. [I acknowledge non conformist genders by the way. its just not my own experience thats all].

    With this in mind I find your comment kind of childish.

    These are real issues in the real world. Denigrating them will not solve them. What kind of social justice warrior are you anyway ? Your attitude there was quite chauvinist. You will find me opposing sexism towards men but you will never find me belittling womens rights to equality so I ask you to please afford men the same respect which is given to you.

    Would you and masculinist not just get a room? not for sex or anything just so you can beat each other to death and then maybe all other feminists and misogynists can follow suit and I figure within 10 or so years (after beating each other to death with your rods of truth) it will filter the population down so much that Transsexuals will be the dominant gender and then I'll be in charge and run the world the way it should be run :cool:

    Is there mysoginy on boards? Same answer as there is to "are there idiots in the world?": Of course there is.

    Has that spiked in the last while? I can't say it has. There's always been an element of it on AH, with the "make me a sandwich" type posts that turn up, meant to be a "roll your eyes and read on" kind of thing.

    Had it gotten to the levels where morons are posting "so why don't women make my sandwiches?" Kinds of threads? I'm actually asking.

    Anyways, OP, I have good news for you. There is s forum called the Ladies' Lounge, who will kill mysoginy with fire, and rightly so.

    And anti-OP posters, I have good news for you. There's a Gentlemen's Lounge, where men can take shelter from the "social justice warriors" and tell it as they see it.

    I hate when "boards" and "After Hours" are treated as interchangeable. They aren't.

    I am not anti what feminism used to be. However I am anti what it has become.

    I am an Egalitarian however just like Feminism in its original incarnation had a purpose in life so do mens rights at this particular time


    This is an original Feminist, an equity Feminist i.e an egalitarian who realises this, Christina Hoff Summers and who now campaigns for mens rights and against the poison of man hating. Sadly her type is in the minority.

    I think that's probably fair. Along with a jail sentence. In fact if I had my way there would be much stricter action against players who behave that way on and off the pitch.

    I dont care what happens to him so long as it is just. However I do care when legal systems and social prejudices are not gender blind and instead discriminate.
