Public floggings for dog owners in Iran.

    These Islamic states sicken me. Dogs are considered unclean in Islamic Dogma but up until now you could still keep them in private. However newly drafted laws could easily result in 74 lashes for dog owners if they are caught by Irans vigilant 'morality police' catch dog owners.

    So for these dog owners they either have to submit their beloved pets to death or risk torture. They truly have a barbaric society.

    You get 100 lashes just for being gay and 80 lashes for drinking alcohol so I wouldn't think persecution for owning a dog is the worst aspect of Iran law

    Seriously though even moderate muslims are terrorised because they're not savages like the fundamentalists. The koran (the bible too) is an horrific book filled with misogyny, slaughter, rape, slavery and general barbarism. The only difference between christianity and islam is that muslims take their book more literally.

    Does this apply to the "Saluki" breed of dogs, they were never thought of as unclean in the past by the bedouin and were often highly prized possessions.
