What does siobhan do for money ?

She lives in a nice apt.

Goes out a lot but we never see her working ?

Also - keeping Tommy in hospital can't be cheap ??

We need answers people !!!

Siobhan has nothing to fear from Fran if she convinces him she hates Nidge. Fran would verify her belief that Nidge hit Tommy for sure (Fran was there at the time). In fact, Fran would be a natural ally. I'd say Fran will get her to set up Nidge with the bone? Siobhan will hate Nidge even more. But would Nidge go as far as killing her? She could be Nidge's most dangerous enemy in the end.

They've done the same thing that plagued the last series. Trying to pack in way too much and have given themselves no chance of resolving the various storylines/tangents in any meaningful manner. The show does a lot of things well but there is no coherent story structure.

Main points;

Nidge off to Spain with Terence

Elmo was caught with some heroin- now in prison

Fran escaped prison, killed Dean

Siobhan went to Fran's caravan and took Git's finger from the fridge, narrowly avoided being caught by Fran.

So us seeing Aido back on the gear just shows that he has fallen back into bad habits and that he has nothing to live for. Especially now that he realises Nidge is not a true friend also.

Last seen shooting up in this episode....I believe in the finale he'll be found in a lighter shade of blue/purple

NIDGE has been paranoid out of his skull for the past two/three series. If he is told there is a rat, even if there wasn't one, he would be automatically looking for a rat.
Whether the guards are following them or not.
We know there's a rat.
Nidge thinks there's a rat, but doesn't low where to look.

That funeral scene was a stroke of absolute genius. For those who saw the news article "spoiling" the funeral scene earlier in the year, they put another character's name next to the word "Da" so as the papers would report the wrong character death, and then only filmed the hearse from certain angles so as the other name never appears.

Absolute genius by Carolan and the crew, epic for me as I saw the original spoiler article and was pretty pissed about it

Same thing happened with Paulie's death of course, that was reported as the other spoiler but they identified the body on the ground as the wrong character in the red tops. So it looks like the papers have been totally humiliated this year as far as spoiling character deaths goes, hopefully so much so that they won't bother trying from now on!

Terence came home for Paulie's funeral and demanded answers off Siobhan. She tearfully made up quite a believable story about her giving Paulie too many ecstasy tablets which resulted in him being so out of it, and thereby falling to his death- Charlie murphy's acting was incredible in this scene. Terence bought it - or did he? - and asks Nidge to come back to Spain with him.

Siobhan and Donna go looking for 'Git's' bone up in Frans caravan after Siobhan informs the guardai she knows a way Nidge can be brought down for good....

Meanwhile, Fran escapes from prison by cutting himself and pretending he was attacked. He is brought to the hospital where he attacks the guard who is watching him, escapes, and makes his way up the mountain himself....

Meanwhile, the scottish informer is the man for the job, but Moynihan ain't so happy when he tells him that he's been getting all cuddly with Nadine.

Meanwhile, Elmo is caught clean handed with the drugs after a sting operation.... Janet's son is in trouble and has been seeing a liaison officer of the guards. A garda number rings Janets phone in relation to her son, and Nidge sees the incoming call. Thus, he's fully convinced Janet's an informer. She sort of convinces him he's not, but will Nidge believe her?

Siobhan is up in the mountains and in Fran's caravan looking for Git's bone, which she finds. BUT THEN... Fran arrives up with Dean trying to get some money. Fran suspects Dean has been working for Nidge, and beats him to a pulp. Deans dead, while Siobhan is under the caravan with a bone in her hand. Luckily, the dogs are more interested in Dean than 'Gits' bone. Fran drives away with Deans body in the back..... Siobhan lives another day and makes her way down the mountain.

All in all, a decent episode, but a bit far fetched and poorly written at times. Not as strong as last weeks in my opinion, here's hoping for a whopper final episode.

I don't think so she's just witnessed Fran blugeoning Deano to death - if it was a case she could convince him she's an ally she would have showed herself at the caravan - Siobhan has a lot to fear from Nidge, Fran and Terence but she also has a lot of reason to be ruthless too - in series 3 she went through hell with the vicious rape now I think she has guts and resolve on her side - I'm rooting for her too because in general the women are treated like crap in this series - but Siobhan mirrors some of her Uncles traits I just want to see them channelled for the better.

Yes, he's a lad.... but he's also an undercover police man.

Undercover story = very well done
Sleeping with Nadine = Unrealistic and no need for it.

If it was made clear he is a police officer, is he a Garda or an office over from the UK to help?

I was waiting for dean to whip out a gun and blow Fran away in that caravan scene. This series is starting to warp my mind. I'm still waiting for a garda to get shot

What's everyone's thoughts for the finale?

I'm hoping for a whopper fast-paced action from start to finish finale! I know they have to keep things realistic and can still bring story lines into season 6, but I hope there are some big conclusions by this time next week.

I think a big name has to die next week or the season has been a waste.

Either Nidge/Fran/Patrick has to go for a proper finale. It won't be Nidge so one of the other two is on the way out imo.

Although they'll probably kill Aido or someone and let the rest roll on until next season :pac:

You're completely missing my point.

Elmo said because he was caught that there is definitely a rat.

But surely him getting caught tonight had nothing to do with a rat because the gards have been following him for weeks etc as you said.

They knew there is a rat because of the phoenix park, but Elmo getting caught tonight would give no clues there is a rat seems no one actually ratted on his specific operation tonight.
