    Transfers done. First -4 of the season. Poor old Kaboul only managed two weeks in my team so hopefully he'll give me a parting gift tomorrow.

    Kaboul and Sterling out for Dummett and Sanchez. I couldn't risk waiting on Sanchez. He could be this year's Ramsey in that he'll keep going. By the end of the week he'll be 10.8.

    Only 0.1 mil in the bank and I've three 4 mil defenders, two of whom are under pressure for their starting places!

    Thanks, I didn't want to say it but those are my thoughts re having both Fab & Haz. Nice to have but not really essential. I see the two of them scoring similar.

    I'm going to pull the trigger on Sturridge to Downing. The other part can wait a few days.

    I'll probably be getting rid of Pelle & Tadic in the coming weeks... That'll let me get a premium midfielder in along with a fit Sakho. Cheers

    That's exactly what I did. Sterling to Downing before one's price rises too much and the other one's drops.
    The second transfer can wait until after the Champions League. No point getting someone in only for them to get injured midweek.

    Anyone offer me some guidance on how to get in Sanchez?

    I would do Costa to Berahino or Sakho and Siggy to Sanchez but I can understand why people are reluctant to get rid of Diego

    I have three options. Two FTs, 0.7 in the bank:

    1) ADM out for Sanchez in a straight swap. I can then swap Sterling to Chadli or Barkley with the 8.6 I get from selling him.
    2) Sterling out for Sanchez, Sig out for a 5.2 mid
    3) Sterling out for Sanchez, Pelle out for Berahino

    My squad is:

    Forster/Heaton
    Clyne/Chambers/Taylor/Duff/Moore
    ADM/Fabregas/Sterling/Sigurdsson/Boyd
    Aguero/Costa/Pelle

    Any advice is appreciated!

    Screw it, I'm going to get Sanchez and Jedinak(!) in for Sterling and Sig. I might even indulge myself with a 4 point hit to get Dummett in for Moore.

    Forster/Heaton
    Clyne/Chambers/Taylor/Duff/Dummett
    ADM/Fabregas/Sanchez/Jedinak/Boyd
    Aguero/Costa/Pelle

    Pelle can be downgraded in a couple of GWs once Southampton's good run ends.

    Yes, I'm sure you were all waiting for the outcome of this decision. :pac:

    Done for -4

    Costa to Sakho.
    Sterling to Sanchez.

    My calm plan to wait and get Walcott when he was due to have starts had to be torn up.

    i think Siggy's worth keeping. to my eye alot of people are panicking trying to make up ground. Swans have a mini tough run of fixtures, then run nice after that. i saw him as a possible season keeper from the start anyway, unless you go down the 5 big guns in midfield option

    I don't think he's worth keeping... He's easy to keep because he's so cheap and he is at the centre of everything Swansea do but I think Swansea will fall down the table fairly fast. I'd even say they could be close to the bottom 3 by the end of the year. He's a very good player but if Swansea are struggling, he will.

    I got rid of him after GW3 and in 7 games he has only burnt me once with a 10 pointer. He has only got 15 points in the other 6 games. An average of 3.5 per game and that's including the 10 pointer.
    That's just marginally better returns than you'd wish for from your non playing cheapass 5th mid.

    I'd argue that those 7 games (6 points for Swansea) will be more like their form for the rest of the season. As opposed to 9points from their first 3 games. If Swansea struggle then he'll struggle imo.

    I wouldn't be holding that "cheap playing midfielder" spot for Siggy. Much better to rotate in a few others when fixtures are favourable imo.
    Arsenal and City up next... I'd be shipping him out tbh.

    Hmm, with Obertan potentially out for a while, Rolando Aarons, who came on for him today, could get an extended run in the team. At 5.0, he's worth a look.

    Any Newcastle fans here know if he'll feature?

    Can't really do it without dropping a forward, di maria or hazard, which I wouldn't do.

    Suppose you could drop Jagielka and Betrand to 4.2's and Sigurdson to a 5 and Tadic to Sanchez, not worth it.

    Siggy, Tadic and Jag out for Sanchez, steven taylor (Newcastle) which leaves you with 5.3 - so can get in the likes of Jedinak, Milner, shevley, Zaha - lots of different levels of players

    or take out Pieters instead of jag which leaves you with 4.6 for Wanyama

    Taylor is 3.9 - and newcastle have kept 2 cleans sheets in last 3 games he's played, and are winning, so can't see him being dropped.

    is Sakho even fit?

    Physioroom says he should be fit for next week. It's a bit of a gamble, but my subs can cover if he misses one week, and W Ham have excellent fixtures.

    You guys have me eager to
    ADM -> Sanchez
    Siggy -> Downing
    or (since ditching ADM before a home game vs CP may not be the best idea)
    Siggy -> Downing
    Chadli -> Sanchez
    Ivanovic -> £4.2m def

    - edit -

    Or well I could forget about ADM until GW13 when United will be facing a good run of fixtures including a 3 favourable home games out of 4.

    Selling Costa, Ivanovic and Chadli + your 0.4 itb leaves you with 24.7m

    You could do:
    Ivanovic -> Baines (7.2)
    Chadli -> Sanchez (10.5)
    Costa -> Any striker of your choice thats 7m or under (Berahino, Sakho, Austin)

    Not getting him or anything but Mame Biram Diouf coming into serious form for Stoke!.....
    Just took only my second -4 hit of season...early in week too:)
    Siggy to Downing
    ADM to Sanchez
    Kinda fear the Sanchez boat may have sailed,16 pts in last 2 games is unbelievable tekkers.

    I have just enough to do Sanchez and Pelle in for Costa and Siggy but I have to do it tonight, I think I'll pull the trigger.

    Fingers crossed. Bad last 2 weeks have seen me drop from 17,000 to 45,000:(

    Is it worth an 8 point hit for Sánchez??
    Sánchez/Heaton/Ayoze in for Tadic/Forster/Welbeck

    Ayoze being bench fodder and Heaton rotates well with Schmeichel plus I have Clyne so would be looking to drop Forster after next couple weeks...

    I agree with all of this, Siggy to Downing tonight, then rotate that spot among the form player in the 5 to 7 range. Aarons could become a candidate for it soon.

    Cheers for that.

    I'm not sure about dropping Costa though. I haven't watched the game today so don't know how fit/unfit he was but Chelsea have a very nice run after their game at Anfield (and well with Liverpool's current form and considering they'll be playing in Santiago Bernabeu midweek not sure it should be a tough one for Chelsea).

    Think I'm giving in to sell ADM. Short term I feel Sanchez could do more damage than him. Can't have everyone anyway. And I'd be more nervous about dropping Costa.
    Coupled with Siggy -> Downing. Form and fixtures go in favour of the latter.
    Need to reshuffle my team now (should have started last week in fairness). Will reassess for GW13.

    I had a look at the fixtures list and GW13 seems to be an important switch in terms of hardening or easening of the respective fixtures of several teams (TL;DR -> see my own quote below). So ideally I have transfers to make this week and bank it next week so that I have 2 FTs for GW13 to agree my team with the following fixtures:
    • United. will face Hull at home, Stoke at home, Southampton away and Liverpool at home.
    • Meanwhile, Tottenham will host Everton, go to Stamford Bridge, host CP and go to Swansea.
    Spurs don't have a very tough run but comparatively to MU feel Chadli -> ADM could be perfect at this time.
    • Southampton will host City, go to the Emirates, host United and go to Burnley.
    • QPR will host Leicester, go to Swansea, host Burnley and go to Everton.
    So Pellè -> Austin sounds great too.
    • West Ham will have New at home, WBA away, Swansea at home and Sunderland away.
    Could also be Pellè -> Sakho then.
    Though I plan on getting Downing in for Siggy this week.
    • Swansea will face CP and QPR at home, then WH away and Spurs at home.
    Could also revert Downing to Siggy then if needs be.

    - edit -

    Added the full picture. GW13--16 fixtures for all teams from FFS.
    359i8hz.jpg

    Will see what to do with Ivanovic/Baines later. Normally they should not drop/rise tonight. Will have to calculate how much money I need to save (or not) at the back for my 3 GWs masterplan to work with a decent margin to account for unexpected rises/drops.

    - edit -

    First part of masterplan done.

    Good points on the change in fixtures around GW13.

    Green could be a good option if you have Forster and want to replace him too, I think I'm going to get him GW 13/14 and run with him as my only keeper until my January wildcard.

    Went Sterling to Nasri. Should be starting for a while with Silva out, and some cover for City as I don't have Aguero.

    Possibly a bit early to get him in, but have to get rid of Sterling

    Thinking same but want to hold off until tomorrow. Is sterling gonna drop tonight?

    I'll more than likely bank the transfer this week so that I'll have 2 freebies for the international break. My team is faring well all things considered. I'm deciding to go without Sanchez and instead will wait till Walcott gets back to full fitness as I think he's the best way into the Arsenal attack.

    Selling Costa crossed my mind, then i remembered he plays my team next week and we cant defend for sh1t so will keep him.

    Loving the sanchez panic. I'm looking at a -4 of Costa and hutton to rooney and chambers.

    I wouldn't have panicked but for the fact that he's now 10.5 and will be 10.8 for the next GW. I had to act or I'd be priced out of the market on him because as far as I'm concerned Aguero and Costa are essential. I can't see either leaving my team unless it's injury.

    I know Costa has his fitness issues but I'm surprised so many are dropping him. He's played in, what, 8 games now and scored in six. That's a fantastic record.

    This. I will be holding Costa.

    I've done Siggy to Downing. That leaves me exact change for Fab to ADM. Fate?

    I'm also looking at Fab to Eriksen and Pelle to Rooney as an alternative United option (which I also have exact money to do). That would leave me with none of the recent template midfield 4 left.

    Held off yesterday because I wanted to see what happened today. Will probably do a panic switch today of di maria and Ramsey to Sanchez and eriksen for a 4 pointer. Any other combo would be an 8 point hit. Struggling to fit in di maria otherwise.

    Surprised that FPL players are impetuous creatures with short memories :p

    I rid myself of Costa two weeks ago and it's worked well so far. The intention was to bring him straight back but the codespeak coming from Mourinho has put enough doubt in me to think that he could be a risky proposition for his price. He was taken off yesterday with the game in the melting pot, Remy is certainly worthy of game time, I wouldn't consider it a significantly weaker Chelsea team when Costa is rested for Remy anyway.
