    I've decided now I am not getting Sanchez..... I missed his points so now I need to catch the next person to have a big haul with relatively low ownership
    I'm thinking hazard and / or Rooney!
    I have 2 free transfers .......
    I could go sterling to downing and wellbeck to Rooney.....leaves me light in modfiel but a front line of aguero Rooney and Costa..........
    I am fearful of hazard as well though so other option is well beck to sahko (if fit) and sterling to hazard. option then for -4 to do Costa to Rooney
    nothing being done till after tomorrow obviously but what ye think

    Usually I'd agree with you that sometimes people try to chase last weeks points but Sanchez is different.

    He has mostly decent fixtures up to the New Year. 5 goals in 3 games, the manager has been praising his old-school attitude to working hard.

    Like you I had Sterling but Liverpool look bad, he's been complaining of tiredness, and Sturridge is out.

    Given the swing in prices that will happen this week I think it's a transfer that just has to be made.

    I disagree. He's had a major haul in the last three weeks but he's going to continue to score big. He's different class and is by far and away the stand out performer in that Arsenal side. Wenger has also remarked today about how he's excelled over the last few weeks with his role through the middle and Wenger aint going to move him out wide again.........

    to this for a -4 (2FT)

    I can't not have Pelle for Leicester next weekend.
    Sanchez can be sold for Walcott when he's back in full swing.
    I'll address the Welbeck issue another time

    Anyone willing to offer an opinion?

    only way I can get him leaves me without ANY chelsea attacking cover OR by selling ADM
    with their respective upcoming fixtures I'm not doing that.
    of course injuries tomorrow could change things

    Ya, I think it's probably a good move especially with price rises.
    A bit late to the Pelle party but I can see why you want him for next week. Fixtures getting harder though which you prob know.

    I think I'd make those changes and would be lining the following move afterwards
    Welbeck & Pelle -> Rooney (or Costa) & a cheaper 3rd striker (Cisse, Austin, Sakho)

    Good. Thanks.
    Yes, late to the Pelle party but I choose Welbeck over him a few weeks ago and it didn't work.
    The plus about buying him now is that if I sell him for their tough run he'll be easier buy back in after it. I just can't be without him next weekend.

    Need to move tonight on Sterling.
    Wanted to get rid of him a few weeks ago but he kept flirting with me. I'm tired of you now Raheem.

    Have attached my current team.
    Have two real options as I see it. Favouring option 1 as I will prob be downgrading Tadic in a couple of weeks and that can allow a Fab -> Hazard move if needed. Option 1 also allows me to just get rid of Sterling tonight and I can wait on the later part.

    2FTs
    Sterling & Welbeck out for
    Option 1. Downing & Rooney
    Option 2. Hazard & 6.1m Striker (Berahino, Sakho or Austin)

    Not adverse to a -4 hit so if anyone sees one then fire ahead please.

    Not going to bring in Sanchez, I'm holding out for Walcott. Sanchez's returns will diminish when Walcott is back, he'll take a lot of the scoring burden off Sanchez IMO. And he's 1.5M cheaper.

    It's a tough one.

    Since you already have Fabregas I'm not sure Hazard is essential to your team. Fab and Haz are actually scoring very similar, Fab still being ahead. That said having both Downing and Tadic could be risky.

    The question you need to ask yourself is whether Downing is a better or worse option than 1 of the 3 cheap strikers you mentionned. If Sakho was 100% fit I'd tell you to go Hazard and Sakho.

    But what do I know anyway with my 33 pts today :pac:...

    My turn to ask for help.
    2 disastrous GWs in a row (I hardly scored better than Sanchez (C) alone which speaks for itself) so need to bounce back.

    Here's my team.
    I'd love Sanchez but would ideally like to keep both ADM & Diego Costa... I'm still under the shock of today's results being almost perfectly disastrous so would like to avoid a knee-jerk reaction...
    But Ivanovic has to go. He hurted my team too much (both when he wasn't and was in it). I'd be happy enough to cash in my profits on Siggy. Chadli was probably a mistake so I could drop him too.
    But I'm open to all suggestions even up to an 8 pointer :pac:...

    Think I'll actually wildcard. If I do I'd be getting rid of:
    Mannone
    Wilson
    Hutton
    Silva
    Soggy
    Costa

    Not sure if it's worth it?

    Thanks, I didn't want to say it but those are my thoughts re having both Fab & Haz. Nice to have but not really essential. I see the two of them scoring similar.

    I'm going to pull the trigger on Sturridge to Downing. The other part can wait a few days.

    I'll probably be getting rid of Pelle & Tadic in the coming weeks... That'll let me get a premium midfielder in along with a fit Sakho. Cheers

    Well 6 transfers. So yeah WC could be useful there ;).

    No interest in ADM instead of Hazard for Option 2? I'd probably go for #2 unless Rooney is up front for ManU; otherwise 10.2m is a bit dear for reverse OOP.

    Soggy... Appropriate typo :)

    I'd say it'll be a good week in terms of making a few bob on players but international break could ruin your newly wildcarded team.

    The good thing with this option too is that you'll get to see Rooney playing tomorrow so that you'll be able to decide if you're happy enough with Welbeck->Rooney.

    I brought him in for Siggy yesterday and now want the price rises ;)

    Will probably do the same with my first ft before he rises. Had I also done it yesterday I'd be on 100 points right now.

    ADM would limit me to a doubtful Sakho or Austin so kinda ruled that out for now.

    He'll probably be brought in soon for that Pelle & Tadic double move. Hopefully could afford ADM & a fit Sakho then.

    Yeah that's why I'm in 2 minds, if I leave it til next week it'll prob cost me up to 0.5m. But as you say it's a risk with the upcoming internationals.

    My team has kinda stagnated over the past few weeks so I think i might just go for it. Having the WC is a bit of a burden each week is a 'will I won't I' situation.

    You guys have me eager to
    ADM -> Sanchez
    Siggy -> Downing
    or (since ditching ADM before a home game vs CP may not be the best idea)
    Siggy -> Downing
    Chadli -> Sanchez
    Ivanovic -> £4.2m def

    - edit -

    Or well I could forget about ADM until GW13 when United will be facing a good run of fixtures including a 3 favourable home games out of 4.

    Ivanovic to Dummett
    Chadli to Sanchez
    Sigurdsson to Downing/Schneiderlin/Diame

    Here me out. I've 2 free transfers and have enough in the bank for the following combined.

    De Gea ---> Foster
    Siggy --- > Downing
    Sterling --- > Sanchez
    Welbeck ---> Rooney

    Its a -8 but leaves me in a good position I think.

    Foster

    ----Chambers -- Betrand -- Taylor

    Downing -- Sanchez -- ADM -- Fab

    -- Aguero -- Rooney -- Pelle

    Thoughts?

    Ya, there's probably no great rush to get ADM either in or out tbh.

    Sanchez, Downing & 4.2 Def looks good.
    Sanchez is probably a short-medium term must have now. Downing has pretty nice fixtures.

    decided to get in sanchez and rooney for aguero and sterling for a -4. i think i know what i'm doing. kind of. tho you wouldn't know it from my last few gameweeks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,081 ✭✭✭✭PARlance

    Sterling -> Downing done.

    1FT left and it'll more than likely be Welbeck -> Rooney as mentioned previously. Might have the luxury of a midweek move.

    not personally. most attacking play goes through him. gw13 to the new year is pretty nice fixtures-wise. he's been pretty consistent to far

    Can't really do it without dropping a forward, di maria or hazard, which I wouldn't do.

    Suppose you could drop Jagielka and Betrand to 4.2's and Sigurdson to a 5 and Tadic to Sanchez, not worth it.
