Has anyone watched WCW New Blood Rising, what a dreadful Ppv even the commentators don't seem to know what the story lines are. Judy Bagwell on a forklift match, how is that ever going to work!

I watched New Blood for the first time a while ago. Those Vince Russo WCW PPVs are just on a different, higher level of bad.

Just got my first advert on the Network when I clicked on an on-demand video. I clicked back to stop playing it and returned to the previous menu and then hit play on the video again and it played sans advert. Lol.

Just got an email they have got rid of the 6 month commitment now and it's just $9.99 a month cancel anytime you want.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,018 ✭✭✭QikBax

They've gotten rid of the 6 Month commitment ahead of the conference call later:

    WWE Network 6 Month

Bad news awaits in the subscriber numbers.

It means its the same set up as the US, as in its just a website, not a pay channel.

I wonder how many people will take them up on their offer of cancelling any time? I know I'm tempted.

Honestly for as long as they keep the $9.99 price point I don't see me going anywhere. I log in maybe twice a month but it seems too cheap to pass up at the minute.

The channel is the stripped down version. The website (or the app if you view on Playstation/Xbox/Android/iOS) is far better.

I might use it once a week myself, but I'm still very happy with the price (i'm paying almost $11 for some reason though. I changed my address to a tax free state, but still no joy)

Some of the more interesting fan/pundit talking points I've seem
At the same time the WWE was trying to introduce the WWE Network, they were also trying to create new stars and headliners. Tough.
Positive note from WWE Network: no monthly commitment gives them incentive to have attractive 'PPV' mains.

Maybe once a week. Some live specials or anything that makes it seem worthwhile would be nice. Live showes from the overseas tours etc. As it is, there's nothing much to watch that I havent seen a million times before. It's all just re-packaged clips/documentaries.

I guess its like an on demand effort on my tv I'm looking for. Thats what i'd pay for

The new Rivalries series is more of the same.

The interface is ****e in a million ways. The time scroller thing not letting you skip seemlessly and no Spotify like playlist or recommendations functions.

Do you not have a console or a tablet or something you can plug into your TV?

I wouldn't subscribe if I had to watch on my PS but the PS3 app is fine.

Some related video recommendations would be good too.

They actually emailed people to say "Great News About Your WWE Network Subscription: now you can officially cancel it at any time". Jesus wept, they haven't a clue.

They are the Bernard Black of streaming services.

are current subscribers getting Nov for free? Also with this cancel at anytime how many will just cancel and come back around Mania time?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,585 ✭✭✭Jerichoholic

    Cancel now, free November.

    Mental marketing.

The no commitment thing was pretty much the option I was already using tbh; paying on a debit card, if I had wanted to cancel at any stage, I could have just made sure the card was empty when they tried to charge.

Regardless, I am still staying with it; it's working out at half the price Sky are charging monthly for PPVs alone anyway....

I can't wait to hear Bryan and Dave's take on all of this.
