I was so engrossed in tonights episode I didn't know it was over until the credits.
I know the credits mean it's over, but they came too soon.

I don't like what you're implying, he's a gentle soul and sells those devices for agricultural use.

So, you'd be ok if I tossed one thru your letter box? We can sit and listen to Farm Report & talk about the price of milking heifers afterwards. :P

Great episode but the scene where Paulie dead was ruined for me because of these posts last week...

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=92681821&postcount=2257

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=92687172&postcount=2391

Now these were posted without any spoiler tags. Mods had to later add them. Once Paulie sat up on the rail I knew it meant that spoiler was true. So annoyed, as Im sure many others are here that read those last week. Makes me want to give up on this thread even though I enjoy reading it.
Actually I would like to see people like price690 banned for so blatantly spoiling future episodes on the rest of us.

    This.

Its too big a show for a spoiler to just be posted like that and they should be banned. Im glad I missed it.

But then again the mods couldnt give a flying fúck about the show, let alone this thread.

That was an unreal episode. Stuart Carolan seemed to have learned from his mistakes last season. The plot is moving at a much faster pace and the police subplot has been trimming down and not getting as much airtime, yet it still plays an important role. He's being much more economical with their scenes this season.

This episode really showcased Patrick's character. It's incredible that he's transformed from "random pipe bomb maker" of last season to a fully three dimensional character this season. The actor is one of the best to appear in the show. And for all the naysayers who say "he's just a traveler playing a traveler" - there is a huge difference between being yourself and actually delivering lines to camera while conveying the character's emotions. I thought he was really strong in tonight's episode, and as someone mentioned above, that final scene was like something from Tarantino, especially that camera angle catching the steely determination in Patrick's eyes.

I think an interesting thing is happening to Nidge. Last season, I felt he was always playing catch up and that he was in over his head. This season he is much more confident and in control, especially this episode. However, I also feel the character might be loosing audience sympathy. He was always "Nidge Weasel" - the character you love to hate, but he seems to become more despicable as this season progresses.

And my jaw dropped when Siobhan mentioned the zoo. I thought she was a gonner but I actually didn't see that coming. A major **** storm for Nidge.

Awesome TV. Major improvement over last season. This season so far has had two classics.

Very good episode but could they not have found a better way of exposing Siobhain than "I thought you woulda got me a cuddly toy from the zoo"? Weak writing.

Not really. She was off her tits on drugs ;)

Unbelievable episode, probably the best I've ever seen from Love/Hate. There is so much happening in the final episodes, Nidge is up **** creek now. I honestly don't know how they are going to fit it all in, surely they couldn't bring Tommy back now that there is so much else going on? Although after tonight nothing would surprise me.

The one thing that I was left unsure about is whos side Noelie is on, is he attempting to become pally with Fran before he kills him like Nidge said? Or is he genuinely wanting to get out after his 8 months?

    Noelie is gunning for Fran

Dramatic episode no doubt, but it's just all over the place. No coherence to the storytelling at all

I'd say John Connors bagged himself an IFTA or 2 tonight. Superb acting, especially in the final scene.

Was also roaring at the TV when he ran at the gunman.

    Yes there is.

Others pick it up fine so maybe you should look closer to home for the problem:pac:

Could be the best hour of television I've seen all year. Absolutely fantastic episode.

Dont know if serious....! Apart from the balcony scene, Pauly & Siobhan scenes were sub Eastenders standard!

SimonTemplar - brilliantly put, I completely agree. Jos, Deise - sorry for the false hope. :( I thought the show took a mid season break this year which made a lot of sense to me. 6 eps is simply not enough for such a popular show.

Yeah, but it was very, very subtle. It's when they have the swelling violins and a booming Johnny Cash soundtrack, each and every time, that I start to get annoyed.

I'm a big Cash fan and I love most of the songs that they feature at the end of eps. I just get browned off when they make a big deal of having one for the last scenes of each and every ep. They start to lose their impact, when they happen each and every time.

Id agree with them trying too hard with certain songs at times. But I have to say, I thought the two times Johnny Cash was used were the musical highlights of the show overall for me so far.

    You've absolutely nailed it.

In fact the only main character I felt any sympathy for tonight was Patrick Ward. The rest have very few redeeming qualities and are becoming more unlikable as the stakes are being risen. Feel sorry for Siobhan, she really is pathetic at this stage.

What's the cop call DI Moynahan? kig, keeg? Can't make it out!

    Two episodes ago

Paulie: "I'm gonna hunt down that traveller for sport"

This episode - Random junkie hired to kill Patrick....

Little details, and overall a decent episode but it still...

Does anyone know what Patrick said at the end? Fecked if I can make it out!
    Great show.

There was nothing in the trailer to be honest so it's safe enough.

Well the talk about the trailer mentioned
Git getting a funeral. If this is true then it means his body was found. And thats huge considering the consequences it'd have for both Fran and Nidge.

    Cig, short for Cigire 'Inspector'

The funeral in the trailer isn't
Git's...it's Paulie's. Terence from Spain can be seen walking behind the hearse. I'd say that we just weren't aware that Paulie has a child.

    Fantastic episode, great writing.

Tomorrow I'll watch the walking dead and the writing for that isn't up to this standard
