Could be the best hour of television I've seen all year. Absolutely fantastic episode.

Patrick has developed into a hell of a character.

    Fantastic actor and character.

That should have been done like the episode from Breaking Bad, "Box Cutter".

    Remember? Where
Gus Fring slit Victor's throat with the box cutter. Big gaping wound on the neck, blood spurting everywhere.
That's how it shoulda been done there with the bould Paddy.

If nothing else, it would have gotten the phones to Joe Duffy hopping tomorrow anyway!

At this stage it'll just be ridiculous if Nidge doesn't die. How many people does he have after him now?

    Bombshell after bombshell after bombshell.

    Epic show.

Its too fast paced to ever be epic. It relies too much on huge dramatic scenes. All very entertaining but getting a bit overboard. Pity RTE made the series, different broadcaster, stretched budget, more shows, better acting and a proper storyline development over the series.

Anyone else feel sorry for the poor lad that got his throat cut?

I actually feel very sorry for the poor cúnt. He was just a stupid young lad. Eurgh... what a way to die... I know he shot a kid and all that, but I still feel sorry for him. :(

Was that scene at the end of next weeks trailer a giveaway?

Bang on the money. Best ep of the entire series imo, with the possible exception of ep 1 of series 3, the one where Git got whacked after raping Siobhan and buried up in the mountains later.

This season could go down as the best.

Looks like Git is finally getting a funeral. Did they kill or just kneecap his son?

Good to see an episode end without the customary/cliched tastefully selected song scene.

Goodfellas was a fast-paced epic. It's not necessarily mutually exclusive.
