Shooting pain left side of head

I am getting shooting pains on the left side of my head and pins and needles on the left side of my face and my face and ear is burning since yday afternoon. Anybody know what this could be?

Pins and needles are a sign of nerve damage...you could have a problem with your facial nerve but really it could be anything and it doesn't sound good.

Kas, you really should just go to your doctor. Looking for advice on the internet about possible cause's of particular symtoms is not a great idea. It can result in you doing any number of things rangeing from rushing to A+E thinking your on the way out, to sitting at home believing it's just something simple that will go away of it's own accord. Your own GP is your best bet.

Sounds like an issue with trygeminal nerve, head to a doc.
