    I love Pasha and Caroline!

I wonder was there more to Pixie's crying than just the emotions of doing a rumba.
yeah I thought there was something more about her crying than doing the dance

I do like her too. But her contribution judging is below the others

How does she compare to Arlene and Alesha, then? :)

    Really disagree with this.

She clearly doesn't want to make the dancers feel bad and always tries to be positive and give criticism constructively so that they improve.

She's not trying to be controversial or funny like Craig and Bruno.

She's a hell of a lot better that Alesha who had no right to be a judge and threw 10's around like confetti.

Darcey is a highly successful dancer at the highest level that you can read about here and is best quailified to be a judge imho.

Why insert spoilers, just watch the show tomorrow.

If people want to know then let them look it up themselves.

I don't think Craig is simply trying to be controversial. Yes he obviously plays up to his tag as the nasty judge but he's the only one who marks correctly.

Darcey is more suited to the role than Alesha (although in her defence she was no worse than Bruno or Len for throwing out 10s), but nowhere near as good as Arlene. The panel was more balanced when she was a judge. Now we only have one judge who critiques honestly, and three who take the stance of "I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings".

Because in previous years we used to post spoilers.
Some people might not watch results show or want to find out early

Thanks didn't know how to do it. After getting slated earlier I can't be bothered now.

Craig just lists out everything they do wrong in one big monologue and then gives them a 2 or something. Bearing in mind, the contestants are not professionals, most of them have never danced before. They should be marked realistically yeah, and marking them by the standards of professionals is not really realistic because they're not people who have been taught to dance from a young age like most professionals. I think Darcey actually takes this into account with her critique and tries to be encouraging. The show is just a bit of fun, after all. It's not 'let's find the next great professional dancer!'

I also think she's probably by far the most accomplished and renowned dancer on the panel. To suggest that she doesn't know what she's talking about and just copies what other people say seems ridiculous given her achievements in the dance world.

Just watched a recording of last nights show. LOVED Judy and Antons performance. Their dance was another thing! I hope for his own sake that Scott is voted out. He looked sick with nerves.

How does she compare to Arlene and Alesha, then? :)

    1st Arlene ..Champions League Standard

    2nd Darcey... Mid table team

    3rd Alesha....Non League Standard

I find Craig's marking the fairest.

Certainly mark they by the standard as contestant and not the professional. But then we do have the public voting for Anton and saving that attention seeking Murray Mother.

Maybe a spoiler thread should be set up, just like the ones for Strictly's bitter rival...? :o:o:D:);)

Well, I don't think anyone can disagree that the order of the female judges in terms of quality is Arlene, Darcey, Alesha.

And I don't think anyone can disagree, either, that no female judge can ever be as good as Arlene was - though it really isn't as if Darcey is light years away from her.

Continuing the football team comparisons, I'd make Arlene Champions League standard too, but I'd have Darcey playing in the Europa League more often than not. As for Alesha, I'd have her reaching the top flight, only to go straight back down and not return.

How, meanwhile, would you compare Darcey to Len, Bruno and Craig? I assume you'd put Craig above her...

    :o:o:o:D:);)

I'd be happy with a panel of

    Arlene
    Craig
    Darcey

    and either Len or Brunno

Brunno might swing it on the humour factor, but I like Len's Lense.

    No more Donny Please!

Thought it funny when Claudia said "You got a 10, a Donny 10"! Even the dancers seemed to dismiss it!

She definitely knows what she's talking about but like Len and Bruno she's a bit all over the place with her scores. At least Craig is consistent, and that's why a high score from him is always much more highly regarded than one from the others. The problem with scoring along the lines of "Ah look well done for giving it go, here's a 5" is that it puts less value on those who actually score well based on their ability to dance.

Any chance of all of the above??? Not sure I can take another three weeks of any of them....

yes indeed I have to say they are rather awful, the other guys are just so good, frankie looks fab, as does pixie and the guy from eastenders, an ugly fecker but a really good dancer

Judy could be in trouble because she got ok comments from the judges last night so the public won't see her as an underdog and vote for her.

Don't forget she HAS to get through just one more week so her golden boy sons can come to the live show and support her! The beeb made sure that line was included in her VT.
