It always seems a little unfair to me that people who have presumably never danced before have to compete against people who are pop stars. Surely the Saturdays girl and Pixie Lott have been trained as dancers before?

I sort of agree with you, but I doubt that dancing along to your pop songs on stage would prepare you for any sort of ballroom or latin dances!

I'm sure they'd have to declare any formal dance training if they'd done some.

Ooooarrrrrrr..... Thom whatshisname in a pilot's outfit.....

Pixie's dance was so lovely - and the Belle hairstyle was a very nice touch!

    That outfit is so unflattering

More music not at all suited to the dance it's being used for.... this is the third one now. Grrrrrrr.

    That dance was good craic.

I know people say pop stars only prance around on a stage, but most of them have been to stage school. They do have an advantage, and I prefer people that are completely learning everything

I didn't like it at all.

Well, a bit, but I think given better music he could have been really great.

They're not the same thing, but I think the pop stars in the competition definitely have an advantage over someone who may have never even had to learn a choreographed routine before.

My boyfriend thinks Tom looks like a better looking version of Roger Federer

In his VTs I fancy him. He looks manly and rugged, but in the actual show he just looks too clean for me

I'm not getting too caught up in the right or wrong music, I just thought it had a lot of energy and there was some personality.

I'm glad Claudia got the presenting job. Im really enjoying her interaction with the pros and celebs.

Maybe I'm going on about it a bit much, but it really bugs me. I promise I'll stop mentioning it from now on :D

The lame intro bits bug me much more though! I'll stop going on about those as well.

Not a fan of Sunetra's hairstyle this week. But I'd just love to swish around the place in one of those frocks!!!

How anyone ever manages to get the rhythm of a foxtrot is beyond me.

I don't like the lame intros either, probably start fast forwardin them next week.
Thom is good looking but he went out with Kelly Brook, so he goes way down in my opinion.
    Definitely prefer wildlife guy.
I'm still going to moan about the music and the costumes.

I don't know much about the ins and outs of ballroom dancing or what the appropriate music is or what have you, so I'm literally just taking it as I see it and how much I enjoyed watching it. I imagine this show might infuriate someone who actually know a thing or two about dancing!

    The intros are cringe.

"An Indian scouser doesn't get to dance like that very often"

    :D:D

I'll probably keep on giving out as well - but I'll try to limit it!

That was way too theatrical for me. Lifting him into the air at the end? Really?

Doing the paso to the Superman theme while dressed as Superman is wrong wrong wrong.:mad::mad:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 32,362 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

    That was just appalling.

    Cringe-making.

I blame Karen (whom I can't stand!) for really crap choreography.

    That was so... weird.

After saying I don't care much for the music, I have to say that I didn't like the music for that!

Also, isn't Paso doble meant to be the bull and bullfighter thing? He's supposed to 'slay' her at the end, isn't he? Or am I thinking of the wrong thing?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 32,362 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

    Oh fúck off Donny!

Mark is coming up should I hide??
I already think he looks stupid

That's exactly what the paso should portray.

Seriously Donny a 9 for that paso. It was brutal. Thankfully he is only a guest judge this week.

Donny's voting was off the wall

Skinny jeans do not belong in a dance contest, do not even get me started on the cape
