The one that sticks with me is Nidge beating Tommy with the golf club or whatever it was. I felt physically ill the first time I saw that and I'm not squeamish

    Stop being such a smartárse.

If I search for "Elmo" on that mess of a thread Im still going to get dozens and dozens of results.

    Try "Wayne shot"

Was it ever explained why Elmo had

Shock value - kids killing kids. The writing of series 4 was beyond awful. No point in looknig any deeper that that, to be honest.

The cat being shot was great writing to be fair.

Forgive me, I missed the smiley. Is it any wonder I misunderstood, with the huffing that goes on around here when somebody criticises the show?

The cat fair was great and should have been shot, by cameras.

Give us a Love/Hate sub forum!

    Simple.

The merge of the recent new Love Hate threads into this incoherent mess of a "cover everything Love Hate thread" is testament that one thread is not enough!

When you merged the new posts in with this they were in the order of when they were posted. Hence it looking like a conversation between several schizophrenics.

    Its a joke.

No. A mod made a balls of merging two other threads into it

Haven't followed particularly closely, but what is the reason a sub forum has been denied? I assume one has been requested and since there is one for the likes of Wanderly Wagon, The Wire, The Mighty Boosh, Glee, My Little (****ing) Pony, True Blood etc have one.

They are in to the 5th season of the show, there are plenty of little sub plots that people insist on needing clarification on over and over again.

Why is a sub forum to keep episode threads and other things less messy, more easily managed, being denied?

The fight is still ongoing atm :pac:

There's a thread in Forum Requests and another here in the TV forum canvassing for it.

I've also made a thread in Feedback asking the Admins to clean up the Television drop down menu a bit so that might gain us some space.

It was the gurgling noises when Git was smashed with the beer keg that did it for me, far more effective than any visual, as your (or my) imagination is far worse that anything they could put on screen.

Mods insist that since Love/Hate has such short seasons, the forum would be dead for most of the year.

This is however a fallacy, as tabloid articles following the film crews, interviews with the cast etc go on throughout the year, as evidenced by the fact that this thread didn't simply die last December and begin again in September

Problem with these subforums though i notice is that they can become ghost towns and posts can become less and less frequent on them. I see the sense in them dont get me wrong. Im on the fence about them.

This thread is very hard to read. If a sub-forum isn't allowed maybe there could be 2 threads- one for people who have watched the show enough to remember and understand what's going on and a more casual one for people who aren't up to date or can't remember.
The second could have all the questions and answers about what put tommy in a coma and what happened to Darren....and so on without constant asking of the same questions every two or 3 pages in this thread.

It would make both threads more readable and avoid a ghost town sub-forum!!

The problem is that some of the worst offenders are those who have watched the show. It just seems some people have a *ahem* very bad memory.

Personally I find the mega thread a complete mess.

Or one for this series and another one for people who are catching up on previous series/asking questions.

The lack of a Love/Hate sub forum is very very strange... do the MOD's not like Love/Hate or something?.. this is the best thing RTÉ has ever made, almost 1 million people watch it on Sunday nights but yet everything is stuck in one thread.

Just a simple example why its ridiculous is people starting off from S01 E01... there is no thread to discuss season by season like all the rest.

That would fall into the second thread imo. So questions relating to previous series/episodes go to thread 2....leaving the first one open for the interesting stuff :)
For example if someone is completely up to date with everything and just needs a reminder on what happened to tommy they could ask in the catch up thread and then return to the speculation (first thread) for other conversation.

I'm sure someone else could simplify that a bit more though :)

I wonder is it possible that as a poster said a page or two back that Nidge arranges for a kidnapping of Patricks son, then in an attempt to get him back Patrick tells Fran about the pipe bomb, and in retaliation to this, Fran could kill Warren? Or would it be a step too far for a child to get killed?

Only thing I can see involving Warren is accidental shooting....

Fran threatened to get John Boys daughter during their feud in Season 2. Fran is a fúcking animal. There is no level he wont stoop too. He went to dig up Noelie's mother last season and only for the body was rancid he would have done so

Anyone have the montage after the failed hit on Fran, where it shows him shooting the driver?

At least I think it was a montage, there was music anyway
