SUPER TROOPERS FC LOCKS UP RECEIVING TALENT

    Draft Grade D+
    Proj Record 3-10
    Proj Finish T15
    DRAFT SUMMARY

Super Troopers FC will be hoping to defy the experts this season. In spite of selecting fourth overall, they're expected to finish 15th in Boards Division 5. They collected pass catchers right out of the gate, adding wide receivers with each of their first three picks. That early positional investment helped to yield the most prolific quartet of wide receivers in the league.

Well balls to that. I'll show them, I'll show you all!

WATERFORD WOLVES DRAFTS A CHAMPIONSHIP CALIBER TEAM

Draft Grade Proj Record Proj Finish
    A 9-4 T3

    DRAFT SUMMARY

Waterford Wolves handled the ninth overall pick in the draft well, assembling a team that's capable of doing some serious damage this season. They focused on building a well-rounded team right from the start, adding a quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and tight end in their first four picks. By draft's end, Waterford Wolves secured one of the top pairs of quarterbacks in the league.

Think this is way optimistic to be honest . Would rate my team at best middle of the back.

    ROMASUCK RAIDERS

BUILT ON A TERRIFIC CARTEL OF WIDEOUTS, ROMASUCK RAIDERS LOOKS TO MAKE A STATEMENT THIS SEASON

    Draft Grade C
    Proj Record 3-10
    Proj Finish T15

    DRAFT SUMMARY

After drafting 11th in the opening round, RomaSuck Raiders will look to outperform their post-draft prognostication. They decided that the time for wide receivers was early, using three of their first five picks on that position. Corresponding with that strategy, RomaSuck Raiders landed one of the highest-scoring foursomes of wide receivers in the league.

Looks like a relegation battle for me!!

    Balls to that too lol

After Some Early Gambles, Old Irish Patriot Looks to Break Out

    Draft Grade C
    Proj Record 4-9
    Proj Finish 13

    Draft Summary

Old Irish Patriot was positioned nicely with a favorable draft pick, but assembled a team that will need to overachieve according to the pundits. With their first five picks, they decided to take a balanced approach, picking up a quarterback, two running backs, and two wide receivers. By the end of the draft, Old Irish Patriot landed a trio of running backs with plenty of room to grow.

According to ADP, it was a bit of a reach selecting Khiry Robinson in the 8th round (121st overall pick versus an ADP of 146.4 across all NFL.com leagues).
If other NFL.com users are right, Greg Olsen was a steal in the 6th round (89th overall pick versus an ADP of 73.6).
Pierre Garcon will bring extra value if Boards Division 5 has a PPR format, as he's projected to rank fifth in the NFL with 95 receptions.

I was kinda busy at start of the draft so kinda rushed early choices, picked alotta risky players so not a great draft

    • Draft Grade A+
    • Proj Record 10-3
    • Proj Finish 1
    Draft Summary

Selecting 13th overall isn't always ideal, but the GM of Compu-Global-Hyper-Mega-Net handled it well, assembling a roster that has the ability to reach the postseason. They focused on building a well-rounded team right from the start, picking up a quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and tight end within their first five picks. By the time all the picks were made, Compu-Global-Hyper-Mega-Net secured a trio of wide receivers with the best opportunity to improve.

    • According to ADP, it was a bit of a reach selecting Kenny Stills in the 6th round (84th overall pick versus an ADP of 148.8 across all NFL.com leagues).
    • Compu-Global-Hyper-Mega-Net may know something no one else does, grabbing Devonta Freeman, who is on a squad in less than 10% of all NFL.com leagues (8%).
    • In terms of projected points, the best pick of the final round was secured by drafting Geno Smith at pick number 212.

BUILT FOR A PLAYOFF RUN, TEAM WINSALOT GRABS A PAIR OF PACKERS

    Draft Grade -A
    Proj Record- 9-4
    Proj Finish -3

    DRAFT SUMMARY
Team Winsalot should officially be on the Boards Division 5 radar after taking the sixth overall draft slot and building a team that has playoff potential. They grabbed wide receivers early, using three of their first five picks to address that position. That early positional investment helped to yield one of the top foursomes of wide receivers in the league.
The other league managers may have passed over a diamond in the rough, as Jay Cutler dropped to the 134th overall pick versus an ADP of 116.9.
According to ADP, it was a bit of a reach selecting Greg Jennings in the 8th round (123rd overall pick versus an ADP of 146.6 across all NFL.com leagues).
Team Winsalot had a strong finish, accumulating the most projected points in the league over the second half of the draft.

I am in the market for a rb but not sure how much improvement Pierce would be on Martin.

With Ray Rice being released, I'd say Pierce's value has increased a good bit.

Well, happy to get a win to kick it off, even with Tony Romo being Tony Romo. I'm looking for an upgrade at RB if anyone is interested in any of my players.

Edit: no interest in Bernard Pierce though.

So you're looking for an upgrade at running back and yet you have the audacity to offer your sloppy seconds to me for one of my superstar receivers. :pac: :pac:

This can only be proof that my foolproof system works.

Hey, I'm looking for an upgrade, you're just looking for an RB. :P

Suffering jaysus, 0.32 points out of my quarterback for this week. Thanks very much Josh McCown!

    Gotta love Julio Jones though!

With that Gronk TD, all tied up in my matchup, despite being 41 points up going into this game :( Now if Charles could fumble a few times, that would be great.

Thanks very much Megatron and/or Lions Coaching staff!!

On Thursday last week I had no QB who was looking likely to start on Sunday (Maneul and McCown). I pick up Brandon Hoyer and dump EJ Manuel. Then I get a brainwave an hour before the 1800 games that Blake Bortles will do better against Pittsburgh than Hoyer will against the Titans.....Bortles didn't do better than Hoyer

Wouldn't have made any difference to match result at least. Hoyer not a bad pickup. Have to say I was shocked to be able to pick up Tom Brady on this week's waiver wire.

Just realised I'm starting the Eagles DST, who happen to be on a bye week this week. :o

    2 weeks left guys!!!!

Things are very very tight for the play-off spots!

Hopefully McCoy can finally turn it on and stop being a huge bust for me this season!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 360 ✭✭CJC86

Oh yeah, I forgot the season was a little bit shorter than most leagues. That means that for the first time in a boards league, I've clinched a playoff spot!! I'm sure my team will now turn around and perform terribly to finish the season rather than my typical end of season surge.

I had an absolute mare of a season lol

So the final 3 Championship Playoff spots will go down to the last game and I think only 3 teams have definite places and as many as 8 teams could still claim the last 3 spots.

Three Divisions winners are known with one still in question. That's leaves two 7-5 teams in the last two spots and one 6-5-1 team and five 6-6 teams still with a chance of the last 2 spots (I think).

Playoffs are decided. I was one of the 7-5 teams last week and after losing by just under 60 points this week, I nearly fell off the chair this morning when I saw I scraped into the playoffs in 6th place.
Not holding out much hope this week against Greystones Mariners TBH. Going up against the years highest scoring team when I only scored 38 points last week! :(

Ya I was one of the chasing 6-6 teams. I was looking good for a win and a playoff spot until the Rams D blew up and got 31 points. That was me done and into Consolation playoffs...

Don't worry, I'm sure I'll find a way to screw it up. My coach score has plummeted the last couple of weeks with all the terrible decisions I've been making.
