Sean Dyche the Burnley manager mentioned they now have 3 home games in the next 4. What other teams have that does anyone know?

2 FREE TRANSFER FOR GW 8, is it worth waiting till next week after the internationals to do this as i away on hols in the US and wont have access

    Team at moment is

    Forster
    Clyne Duff Ivanovic
Seb Larsson Siggy Cesc Sterling Di Maria
    Pellè(C) Diego Costa

    Subs
    Ulloa/Taylor/Konchesky

Any ideas for transfer? Maybe down grade Sterling and bring in McGiedy/Dzeko for Ulloa???

Yes worth waiting until after internationals but if you're away then obviously you can't wait.

Team doesn't look that bad, Larsson could be downgraded to Boyd to save over a mil then you can use that the next week to upgrade Duff (not getting clean sheets) to Chambers (good fixtures)

McGeady and Dzeko would worry me for gametime but I'd pick McGeady first because of fixtures, actually McGeady for Larsson would be a good straight swap. No need to move Ulloa I wouldn't think, he'll score again

Pulled the trigger very early. Really wanted to get Pelle ( on form and nice fixtures coming up) in for Jelavic ( has done well, but tough ficture coming up and I reckon he will be in for a dip for a while). Due to a price rise I was 0.1 shy. So I gave Collochini (cant justify 4.5 for such a leaky defence) the boot as well for Wisdom ( cheap and doing well and two home fixtures in his next three).

    Jelavic ----> Pelle
    Collochini
    > Wisdom

Had intended bring in a Villa defender for Moore, but just noticed that despite Villas poor run coming to an end, of their next 7 games, 5 are away. And the 2 home games are Spurs and Southampton. So not sure if there are many clean sheets to be had there. Might be back to the drawing board.

    De Gea, Gilks

    Wilson, Terry, duff, Clyne, Chambers

    Silva, Fab, Siggy, Sterling, Boyd

    Falcao, Costa, Pelle

Inside top 13k but still no Di Maria - he's been killing me for weeks.

1 FT - worth getting him for a hit and best way?

Would prefer Aguero to Falcao too but going to take a lot of re-jigging and no WC.

Not sure if it's a case of hanging tough now Di Maria's fixtures get harder (didn't go well yesterday).

Do Silva & Falcao to Di Maria & Welbeck.

What other way to go about it with no cash in bank and needing 1.1m to get from Silva to Di Maria.

DeGea not being 5.5m killed going to a 4.5m keeper and doing the DiMaria transfer last night.

I wouldn't drop Falcao yet. He's just scored his first goal, and if you watched the game yesterday, he was on the end of three or four excellent crosses. Confidence boost + 2 week break could lead him to tear West Brom apart.

Almost ready to pull the trigger on my WC for 6 changes. Bank cleared out.
    Forster (Heaton)
Azpilicueta - Baines - Taylor (van Aanholt - Wisdom)
Fabregas - Di Maria - Silva - Siggy (Boyd)
    Costa - Pelle - Welbeck
    • Main changes are in defense. I haven't gone big in defense for a long time.
I've downgraded Terry to Azpi and upgraded Pieters to Baines. Would've prefered Ivanovich but can't find the cash. Really I'm chasing the BPs that the two Chelsea wing backs are picking up. Terry is solid but he doesn't get the bonuses.
    • Elsewhere Silva, Welbeck and Boyd come in for Sterling, Ulloa and Mutch.
With Sturridge back I expect Rodgers to revert to the diamond more often with Sterling in the 10 role. If that happens I want him in my team. But it would have to be at the expense of Silva or Siggy.
Big question from all of that is which is the more attractive proposition ... Sterling / 4.5 defender or Siggy / Baines?

    Any thoughts?

Pulled the trigger and did Aguero for Falcao.

I know that Falcao scored his first goal and should get a few more but I reckon Aguero is a better long term option.

Plus, a few people in my league have Falcao but I don’t see any of the top players having Aguero. With alot of the teams being basically the same I need to take a risk if I’m to get ahead.

Ridiculously early to make that transfer. Bad move given Aguero injury record.

I like this team. The defence looks VERY good. It's obviously at the expense of a big hitting striker (Aguero/Falcao), but if Pelle can keep doing well, and Welbeck goes a run, you do very well.

As to your specific question, I'd have Siggy/Baines over Sterling / cheapie. Siggy is currently doing as well as Sterling (well, better really!). And Baines should out score most defenders this year.

Just broke into the Top 6k. Team at present

    Forster (McCarthy)

    Ivanovic Duff Wilson (Hutton Wisdom)

    DiMaria Fabregas Sterling Siggy (Boyd)

    Costa Aguero Welbeck.

With 2 FT's and £0 in the bank any advice for the coming weeks based on my current thoughts.

Baines is about to take off! Everton will start getting clean sheets, he will score & assist more.

Hazard, again, about to take off, will outscore most midfielders.

With this said how do I get these into my team?

Ivanovic & Sterling for the chop - meaning I'll need to free up some cash. So thinking of Welbeck to Sakho

Should I drop Aguero as he isnt giving the returns of 12million player?

Stop being silly, my attackers are fine and focus on my defence?

Currently happy with my team, so I'll hold onto the FT until after the internationals to see if I need to carry out some patch work!

Yeah there's a definite template midfield at the min: Siggy, Cesc, ADM and Sterling.

But there's players that are worthy of attention: Hazard is definitely one. Tadic is another on my watch list. But the question is who to get rid of. Sterling might seem like the obvious one, but he's had good returns (an average of over 5 points per GW). Also, Liverpool have 3 good games coming up, and Sturridge coming back, so I think Sterling will continue on this form.

As for Aguero, there's no way I'd get rid of him!

    Mannone (Guzan)

Bertrand Van Aanholt Moore (Hutton, Chambers)

    Sterling Siggy ADM Fabregas (Downing)

    Ulloa Costa Aguero

0.5 ITB 94.8K rank and 379 pts so far

    tempted by a bit of Ulloa>Welbeck and Downing>cheapie 4.5mid for -4

main rival has same front line with pelle

I agree there is a template but there is players creeping in that need to be taken seriously. problem is though upsetting the template.

    Players of note;
    Baines
    Hazard
    Chadli
    Silva
    Sakho

I had Tadic for 3 weeks and got rid of him. It cost me big time as it was a choice of Tadic / Aguero or DiMaria / Pelle. Obv the latter significantly outscored the previous. As a result he is off my radar.

How do I get two of Hazard, Silva & Baines?

Perhaps doing the unthinkable and swapping Fabregas for Hazard. Baines has been on my watchlist for the last few weeks and including the Europa League he has been scoring & assisting well. With Everton having a nice run of fixtures it's time to get him in. My obvious is Ivanovic in that department.

DiMaria & Diego Costa are undroppable.

Might get Welbeck out, I know he has nice fixtures but he has never convinced me as a scorer

I agree re making the transfer early. However, I wonder if we sometimes overplay Aguero's injury record on here. As I stated above, last year was the first year since 04/05 where he didn't play at least 30 league games. Here are the stats for league games played each year since:

    Independiente
    05-06: 36 games

    Athletico Madrid
    06-07: 38 games
    07/08: 38 games
    08-09: 31 games
    09-10: 31 games
    10-11: 32 games

    Man City
    11-12: 34 games
    12-13: 30 games
    13-14: 23 games

The lack of an Xmas break in England may hit him but I really think alot of last season was due to City rushing him back on a few occasions.

    My team:

    Krul
    Moore PvA Taylor Duff Wisdom
Fabregas Siggy Sterling Di Maria Marney
    Costa Aguero Pelle

    2.6 mil banked.

My thinking is Krul to Forster and then Moore to Azpi the following week. If anyone moves up or down though, those moves are fooked.

I could also afford Krul to Lloris and Moore to Bertrand but I think Saints/Chelsea is a better duo than Saints/Spurs.

I have the 4 above + Costa (which I guess a lot of people here do. Their fixtures are very annoying - they all play home one week, then away the next. Would be nice if at least one/two were on a different pattern.

Yeah, this week that midfield 4 got 34 points, last week they got 9!

This goes totally against the previous poster. I gotta make changes to my team. Thinkin of gettin aguero and chadli in for welbeck and mata. That'll be a hit of minus 4. But my mid field would be fab siggy di maria chadli cattermole and a forward line of costa aguero and pelle. City have spurs west ham and utd next 3 games and i def fancy aguero to score against any of them.
Spurs have city newcastle villa stoke in the next 4 so bar the city game i fancy chadli to keep his good form.

    Thoughts please

They have all performed admirably away from home too!

    Sterling - WH & Spura
    DiMaria - Leicster
    Siggy - MU
    Costa - everyone :)

Spurs have City away next (not Newcastle at home) and Welbeck has Hull at home so why not wait a week and do both for free?

Thoughts are similar to mine in that there is the general template of players with some on the side who could be the difference in one or two of your sides.

If didn't have Siggy I would be all over Chadli. I'd contemplate a switch but I have other areas that are more of interest

courtois given all clear go play for Belgium
no concussion just a cut to ear
the soft flute cost me 5 points yday :D
seriously though glad he is OK . looked bad for him
    now what to do .........

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,429 ✭✭✭✭km79

I'm now leaning more toward the aguero rather than baines option......
would mean something like this ......moreno to alderwield and wellbeck to pele for free this week then the following 2 weeks sterling to Chadli and falcao to aguero
I really want to give falcao at least another week to see if he catches fire......

I'm pretty sure I'm going to play my wildcard in this international break. After my lunacy of the weekend I need to get rid of RVP and Nolan at the very least. I only lost about 15 points from it, have learned my lesson and I'm still in 17k. As I said yesterday I'm glad I got it out of my system early.

    My current squad:

    De Gea - Hamer
    Clyne - Moore - Bardsley - PVA - Coloccini
Di Maria - Fabregas - Nolan - Siggy - Marney
    Costa - RVP - Pelle

    1.0 in the bank.

    GK
-De Gea: He bailed me out this weekend but I need to get rid as United just can't be relied upon.
-Hamer: Grand as a backup and even played a game.

    Def:
-Clyne: One of my finest picks having him from GW1 however I'm tempted to switch to Bertrand as his output seems to be higher in underlying attacks. I'll be keeping a Saint at the back regardless.
-Moore: As 4.0 fodder I'm happy enough. Leicester should be able for a few clean sheets at home and I see no reason to sell.
-PVA: Van Aanholt has been another GW1 player who has done excellently for me however looking at Sunderland's upcoming fixtures I don't really think I'd be playing him.
-Coloccini: I got some decent use out of him in the first 2-3 weeks but I need him gone whilst Newcastle seem unable to defend. Pardew doesn't seem like getting sacked either.
-Bardsley: Somebody else I've actually been really happy with so far. The .5 extra over Wilson has paid dividends so far with attacking points and some BPs but I don't think Stoke's defence is worth that .5 going forwards if I get a chance to change. I don't particularly trust them for clean sheets but are handy assets to have.

    Mid:
-Di Maria: Yeah I think he'll be my sole representative in the United attack going forward. If his return diminishes I'll have built up some funds at the very least. He stays.
-Fabregas: Another I've had since GW1 and been delighted with his output. I think Hazard is getting into his groove though and don't want 3 Chelsea attackers. Costa is obviously a permanent fixture. This could be one of the risks I make.
-Nolan: Yeah madness. Was a Ramsey replacement for a terrible punt. Leaving my team as soon as possible.
-Siggy: He has to stay really. I like him as a player and an FPL asset. Doubt wavered but he's a very important player in the game this year.
-Marney: Bench fodder. Currently injured and would switch to Boyd and save .1.

    Forwards:
-Costa: Nothing much to be said here. Stays.
-RVP: The 2nd in that 1 week punt and replaced Rooney. I'll be shipping him out for Aguero. Not much debate here.
-Pelle: My best transfer of the season so far, and well in for him keeping that title. His 2 goals against the Toon and points since have had a lot to do with firing me up the rankings. Would consider him for Welbeck at somestage maybe but have no reason to sell with the Saints upcoming fixtures.

Some of the players I'm considering in these 2 weeks are Forster, Baines, Rose, Chadli, Hazard, Sterling (ownership scares the crap out of me), Aguero to name a few rolling around in my head.

I'd be interested to see what folk think of my squad and whether they'd agree with my assessments :)

Do you need to play your wildcard? I'd be fairly happy with that team if you just did RVP to Aguero and Nolan to Sterling.

You could then work on the others over a few transfers.
