She went back inside with him probably to get her coat but fobbed him off saying she had to look after her son. Id say though she'll use Paulie the next few weeks.

No she said he would have to be up and gone before the kid awakes.

I have to be home before he wakes up i thought?

Could Terrence be related to Darren (father?), and Paulie be a cousin? S.1 has Darren coming back from Spain, but what was he doing there?

No, she said he had to be gone before Leighton wakes up.

I can't see the next episode being a continuation of that night, I reckon she just brought him home and rode him and we'll see the aftermath next week.

Yeah sure they haven't hooked up at all yet so it wouldn't make sense. Maybe next episode though.

I stand corrected. I recorded the programme and just watched that bit back. Yep it seems Paulie got lucky

Nope. From what i gather Darren's parents are dead. If Terrence was related to Darren or Robbie he'd have whacked Nidge long ago or at least smelled a rat that Nidge somehow sold him out

The way paulie was looking at siobhan reminded me of git.
I can't see siobhan going with someone when she still with Tommy. I hope they don't do another rape with her and paulie.

I wonder what kind of character Paulie will be and who he will side with. But when all the traveller business is done, I think he and Terence will be Nidge's biggest threats along with perhaps Fran.

Siobhan will use him for information and perhaps he may try it on with her or something with Nidge then confronting him leaving Siobhan confused?

Paulie comes across as ok and rational tonight whereas Terence is more edgy and seems resentful of Nidge overall. Perhaps tensions develop between the two and Nidge uses this similar to how he used Dano's and Tony's conflicting views. Paulie could end up like Dano: Dano was introduced as rational too and initially a friend of Nidge's but we all know this changed and with Paulie, it could be similar?

10k was a bit of an insult from Nidge; 25k would have been more appropriate.

I like Paulie. Seems very understated. The show doesn't need anymore over the top, overly dramatic characters like Nidge, or Fran or the Traveler dude, or the dentist from last year.

She told him he had to be gone when the Layton wakes. He's getting his Rock n roll

After tonight I now just associate eircom alarms with getting robbed blind.

No chance I'm getting them installed!

    I was wrong so.
i was liking Paddy before, but I'm really liking Paddy now.

Can anybody else see a high noon stand off between Fran and Nidge at the end?

IF you were the traveller guy and you wanted to kill nidge. Surely you'd take the 10k and tell him you're square. Then go off and try and kill him when his guard is down?

Seems like an honourable chap to be fair. I would think that is more to do with his principles and seems pretty believable to me.

Both of them went to the meet resolving to 'sort it out' but one of them started a war over 'nits'. A bit unbelievable.
Had me scratching my head anyway, physically and metaphorically. :)

He is a survivor, he will bide his time and come back at Nidge I am sure, but I do think the original character Fran would have gone out guns blazing there, never backed down from anyone, not even John Boy. More to do with the character being too popular to kill off. Cause it makes zero sense to let him live from Nidge's POV.

Well it's like this..play the hardman and Mischa was going to beat his head in, or he could play the dutiful gang member and have Nidge spare him.

Nidge battered him with a golf club 2 seasons ago. Last season he wasn't playing with a full deck, and collapsed in the last episode.

He thought Nidge was insulting him, because he was a traveller, so must be dirty. I am sure he has had to deal with that kind of **** a lot and has probably turned into quite a sticky subject for him, you are also aware of how much he cares about his son so he would be offended by what he perceives as someone insulting him.

Some stuff is pretty standard tbh. They went to sort it out, but Nidge certainly didnt want to be there and obviously with both men now having attempted to kill each other it is going to be tense, so what may seem innocuous can set it off.

I think all the main characters are portrayed as not either totally evil or totally good but a mix of both. Fran has been a different type of character in all 3 series. The ambitious up and coming criminal in 2011, the happy go lucky coola boola Fran the man persona in 2012 and the annoyed, paranoid psycho of 2013.

Once saw a traveller hit a lad a box because the guy sniffed with a cold or something and the traveller turned on him thinking the guy was sniffing him like he smelled.

He accepted 'paranoia' as the reason Nidge tried to whack him but couldn't accept that Nidge was referring to his son when he mentioned nits. Just didn't ring plausible to me. There is a lot of that kind of stuff in all the series. Lets it down imo.

Nidge and Fran will go from friends to enemies and back to friends again for the purpose that both are going to survive the season as they are the two most popular characters and have become the symbols of Love/Hate.

A common enemy could play a role here. Fran will not be happy with Paddy Pipebomb when he finds out no more than he will be with Nidge. Perhaps, the traveller gang go after both Nidge and Fran and Nidge saves Frans life?
