As someone that probably won't watch this but loves to read how ye all hate it, can anyone post a vid of this new transformation CGI ye all think looks crap?

I might watch it if it ever comes on Netflix. I watched the 3rd one a few months ago, I knew I'd hate it, but I just wanted to see how bad it was, what a mess of a film...Hard to believe this and the 2nd one are supposedly worse!

I find peoples ratings to be over shot all the time.

Smart people would rate this film much lower.

I have to say, I didn't think it was that bad, different yes, completely different to the mechanical natures of the current decepticon/autobot changes but it wasn't one of the gripes I'd have with the film.

    Just finished watching this now...

The first 40 mins or so is pretty good to be honest, with an actual plot and human characters who don't make you want to throw something at the TV every time they open their mouth.

After the first hour though things take a nose-dive...

After the second hour... well, I honestly, genuinely (even though I've JUST finished it!) can't remember almost anything about it except 'splosions, GGI overload, dizzying camera shots, running and screaming, pop-rock and of course Optimus acting like a psycho.
I'm not even sure if Galvatron and his bots even count as Transformers anymore though? They don't really transform - it was more like watching a metal version of Odo from DS9.

    Awful, awful film!

So I read the reviews, and I read the comments on here. And yet, despite that, I still went to see this movie. Why? WHY?

Awful movie. Better than the last 2 at least. But that's faint praise.

I'm halfway through this and I fear I may need several vodkas to complete it.

    It's a f*cking horrendous excuse for a film.

    God, just God...

I should've learned my lesson but oh no, I had to go back for more:

    - American flags
    - Inexplicable explosions that have lots of fireworks in them
    - Japanese transformer?!?
    - Normal human beings being thrown around like ragdolls in transformer's hands without any injuries whatsoever
    - shameless product placement
    - lots of imagery with sunsets in the background
    - A regular joe beating up and killing a "black op" agent

It had some moments ... like very few ... like with splosions and stuff... and the dinobot... but it was very difficult to keep watching in places.

Whyyy, it was 3 hrs almost of nonsensical rubbish. The first half hour was..ok, then it just descended into madness. Shia LaBeouf not being in it was the best thing about it.

It was fun! Mark Wahlberg is great!

ya know i have to concur.

some lad on youtube has uploaded fecking TONS of clips from the film, which are between 3 and ten minutes long, and when ya look at it in bite sized peices like that there is the guts of some really nice ideas in there.

particularly the human controled/manufactured "transformers" stuff.

its just none of it ever gets really developed and gets lost in bays irresistable urge to make the film 3 hours + long and script the bots/cons worse than theyve EVER been in the cartoon (and yes i include the really really stupid one with all the singing :) ) .

its not gonna happen cause this thing made more money than god at the box office but it did show that a reboot for the franchise has more than a little potential to be fecking great.

saddly i expect the next one, which looks to deal with their origins, to REALLY piss me off as he goes off on some mad tangent at best- the fuking quintisons at worst.

I actually thought this was pretty good fun. Unlike the previous few, it has very likable actors, which in my book goes a long way.

Yes, it was too long - Bayformers IV: The Never Ending Story. I did find myself checking the run time which isn't a great indicator.

That said though, great visual effects, a solid cast, and action scenes that mostly held my interest.

It's not brilliant and it's certainly not intelligent, but it entertained me in a way that every film other than the original failed to do.

Bit of cringe in the final act, but realistically I hadn't expected much more from it.

    I would give it a solid 6/10 - very worth a watch.

These films are sprinkled with some genuinely good ideas hidden under all the muck. I thin that in a more capable directors hands, the Transformers franchise could have been something great.

This is the worst movie I have seen this year, its actually a shame because robots fighting other robots should be fun.

What do we about 12 minutes out 500 odd that actually has robots fighting other robots.

Michael bay hates me and is ruining my childhood heroes.

I don't normally watch Michael Bay films, but I watched this just to see how bad it is.

Its terrible, definitely the worst film i've watched this year, and possibly one of the worst films I've ever seen (and I've seen Highlander II)...:pac:

I honestly thought it was nearly over when they boarded Lockdown's ship for the rescue bit, I paused it to go for the loo and saw it was only at 1:23 or 2:50(ish)...

There is no good reason why these films should be over 2hrs. There is nothing to explain or build that takes that long.

Its an incoherent mess with just tonnes of product placement, the final act is practically the exact same as the last film, just with Dinobots.
