Probably stolen and being stored for use as a getaway.

    Maybe ring the gardai?

Do you live anywhere near an airport? Did you ask your neighbours did they know anything about the car or was your first port of call an internet forum?

It is most likely someone leaving their car somewhere quiet while they were away.

Or you could go nuts and burn it out just in case.

Have you considered ringing the guards?

It's hardly a guards' car. Is there flashy lights on the roof and Garda written across the side of it OP?

My neighbour 2 doors down is a guard. Shall I let her know?

Drain the petrol/diesel out off it with the prices now it will come in handy

PS do this before you phone the guards

Is it a bit much to ring the guards?

    Why would it be?

Ring the army and arrange for a controlled explosion.

It could be a water meter protestor with two cars leaving one of them over the place where the meter is to be installed. It is a tactic which is being used.

The guards might have one?! No harm in ringing them to ask.

Thieves often rob cars and leave them in an area for collection at a later date.
