Parked car.

There has been a car parked outside of my house for the last 2 weeks. It's not obstructing me or anybody in any way. It is definitely none of the neighbors cars either. Where I am is not a place where it would be a handy place to park either and it was left late at night.

    Kinda worried about the owner?

Does it have a sign on the side saying 'Flowers By Irene'?

You could be doing a lot of people a favour by simply calling the Gardai.

Does it have valid tax, insurance and NCT? If it does perhaps call the Gardai and it may turn out to be a stolen car parked up.

Not at all! They appreciate genuine calls that are intended to help them or the public.

    No. In the drivers seat.

they are as likely to think he's being a wiseguy and arrest him for wasting their time.

Can't believe no one has suggested ringing the guards yet. Do that, or, y'know, walk up to the car and have a look inside.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,395 ✭✭✭✭mikemac1

The local gangland leaders stored it there and will use it in a tiger kidnapping later this week

Best to burn it OP, you're doing the gardai a favour

You sure it isn't one of the neighbours car, or a friend of a neighbour putting it somewhere to avoid parking fees at the airport perhaps.

Blokes gone on holidays and left his car in a quite spot only to come back and see it surrounded by "the Guards"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,331 ✭✭✭deise08

    Clamp it.

Probably stolen and being stored for use as a getaway.

    Maybe ring the gardai?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,740 ✭✭✭dirtyden

Do you live anywhere near an airport? Did you ask your neighbours did they know anything about the car or was your first port of call an internet forum?

It is most likely someone leaving their car somewhere quiet while they were away.

Or you could go nuts and burn it out just in case.

It's hardly a guards' car. Is there flashy lights on the roof and Garda written across the side of it OP?

My neighbour 2 doors down is a guard. Shall I let her know?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 84 ✭✭lila1

Drain the petrol/diesel out off it with the prices now it will come in handy

PS do this before you phone the guards
