I'd take that with Di Maria assisting all 3 :cool:

I badly need Rooney to run riot today.

If not, I'll be smashing up some pub in Limerick City today.

Imagine if Rooney start very deep or on the bench, he'll probably get a yellow card and 1 point

He is club captain, doubt he will be benched

48 pts with Chester and a risky Falcao to go.

Would cancel out Costa's haul! Let's go Rooney! (though with QPR winning please)

    Falcao on the bench.

United XI v QPR: De Gea, Rafael, Evans, Rojo, Blackett, Blind, Herrera, Mata, Di Maria, Rooney, van Persie. #MUFClive

Only Falcao left to play. Swapped him for Rooney so I'm hoping he justifies my decision.

Edit: Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Just saw the above post :(

Lovely to see Falcao on the bench. Hoping for a Rooney brace even though a good number have him captained.

I knew Falcao was a risk, anyway he should come off the bench and with a tired qpr defence he might nick a goal

Falcao on the bench..welp. Hopefully he gets a nice amount of playing time or my captain choice will be wasted again. Di Maria playing as well.

    Great news regarding Falcao

Captain Rooney, Mata and Evans left

So he's already abandoned his 'philoshophy' ?

Clean sheet, RVP goal from Di Maria assist is probably the best I can hope for.

mata is going to hurt me today I just know it......in behind Rooney and rvp

His philosophy doesn't change . You're mixing up formations and his philosophy.

Where is Tyler Blackett playing, I would have assumed him and shaw would be direct competition for each other, but of Rojo is left back:confused:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,734 ✭✭✭zarquon

Blackett at left back. LVG has just confirmed that he is playing a back 4. So either a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 in play.

Edit: Looks like a 4-4-2 diamond as confirmed by Gary Neville.

Both Blackett and Rojo are interchangeable at left back/centre back so they could be playing in either.

Blackett centre back, Rojo left. I'm gathering blind is defence mid with herrera and mate ahead

and he has always played a variant of 433
Holland did in qualifiers until strootman got injured
united did until he got the personnel he wanted for a 433

LVG states "Falcao still has to adopt the club" "It was unwise to start him"

Interesting quotes, puts Falcao off my radar for a few more weeks at least.

Surely he'll come off the bench for a home reception. Just so Falcao(c) Costa(vc) don't get out of jail (from a bitter Sterling(c) Costa(vc) owner)

Good new with Falcao on the bench. Hopefully Rooney can start scoring again! Just the one though. :D Falcao can come on for a one pointer run-around. Can't be having those Costa (VC)ers being rewarded.

I'd say that's a nailed on certainty barring injuries to other players. RVP will most likely make way at some point.

Rarely needed a captain performance more. Come on Rooney!
