Iused2likebusts's team has scored 40 points in the first 3 gameweeks.
PARLance's team however has scored 80 points over the same period.

I always prefer past performance as an indicator!!

    Which raises an interesting question.

We have some players in our draft who are already looking dodgy from an injury perspective...and who knows what who will bite the dust after the remaining internationals.

Do we allow a brief 'emergency free for all transfer period on, say, friday afternoon, to allow the cull of the injured dross?

Personally, I think we have our squads, we press on with them for the season, highest total score wins.

The only time that I could think of when transfers MIGHT be useful is the first week in February after the transfer deadline, but even then I think with the pace this has gone we wouldn't get it done in time for the following GW, so I'd leave it.

Yeah I would agree with this.

Easiest solution would be for everybody to have a super sub that comes in automatically any time a regular pick doesn't play. Also, since there's 20 of us, and everyone has a goalie from a different team, it would make sense for each person to have ownership of the backup goalies also, as i think it would be unfair to lose out on gk points completely should a particular goalie lose his place/become injured

Too much work required in having automatic subs. If your players don't play, that is unfortunate.

How so? It would require one extra pick per person. Takes out the hassle of transfer windows etc.

It's not like this is a full game draft with everyone with a squad of 15, i'm all for keeping it simple while not penalizing people for things out of their control.

Someone has to do all the substitutions manually, given your name I would have expected this to be the first thing you thought of.

I don't think it's fair to introduce automatic subs now as some people may have picked their team in order to get guaranteed starters in rather than my more risky approach.

Well look it's up To TriggerHappy how he wants to do things. One of your picks suffers a long-term injury and suddenly the game becomes a joke. I'm trying to find a solution

Let's see how this year goes and perhaps bring it in next year...my excel skills have been maxed out without trying to figure out how to automate supersubs into the scoring every week!

We have two transfer windows fixed in this game, g11 and 28 I think. I want to keep then to ensure we all keep some interest and banter thru the season.

There is an international break between gw 11 and 12 which is a great time for the transfer window or if we wanted to pick an extra player or two. Between gw 22 and 23 there is an fa cup weekend which would also be a good time for changes. This draft has been a godsend for us ff freaks as we don't know what to be doing in international breaks.

The refs for next weekend were announced today. I found myself trying to find an FPL angle to it.... :(

Thanks for organiser this Trigger, it has been a nice swig of methadone.

    Adrián
    Baines
    Kaboul

    Fabregas----Routledge

    Weimann

What a bunch of misfits! :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,468 ✭✭✭OneColdHand

    Ended up with:

    Forster
    ----Cahill---Vlaar
    Mirallas
    Coutinho
    Sturridge

Not too confident about finishing too highly in the table based on that team!!

    Schmeichel

    Evans
    Terry

    Lamela
    Cazorla

    Van Persie

Would have preferred to be 1 or 2 picks earlier on the striker, but all in all I'm pretty happy.

    McGrefor
    Kompany = Rojo
    Ozil = Mc Geady
    Rooney

The only prize I will be winning is the Ugliest and Hardest team.

I'll swap for Eto'o if you want :pac:

I thought about him but I see him getting reduced game time this year, and Schurrle was available to me anyway. I'd see them as similar but Shirley should get more points in reduced gametime than Santi

    Manua_man picked Sadio Mané.
    He likes a gamble!

I had to wiki him as had no idea who he was. For shame.

To be honest I only heard of him while I was perving on the Sky Sports News hotties on Transfer Deadline Day

I wouldn't be overly excited bout my selection but if my two erratic midfielders perform as they can I mightn't be that far away

De Gea, Koscielny, Skrtel, Nasri, Adam Johnson, Lukaku
