Club allegiance has no place in FPL. It only serves to skew team selections. The head needs to rule the heart around here

I'm not so sure. I reckon there's a few that would be of the opinion that Sturridge is better than Falcao and that henderson is just as good as Fabregas.

The good people at FPL seem to think Sturridge is better than Falcao too going by their prices!

A lad in my work league has three Spurs players at all times. Another has 3 West Ham. Silly

A lad in a league I'm in always used to pick a well balanced team right and left back holding mid and attacking mid with a little man big man combo up top.

Good man, feel free to bring Sturridge into your team so ;)

Or could it be that Sturridge is over priced? I believe so. Falcao is a much more tempting price at 11.0 if he can duplicate his record from other leagues. Only time will tell. He may end up over priced too!

Sturridge is definitely overpriced. I think Sterling might also be but he's been playing out of his skin so need to have him at under £9m.

He I'd gutted Andy Carroll is injured he reckons Aguero was the perfect player for his flick ons.

Sturridge is the most consistent goalscorer in the premier league since his move to Liverpool and for ff purposes deserves to be mentioned in the same company as Costa Falcao Aguero. He has been overlooked on here due to his tough opening fixtures and now the fact he only has 1 goal in 3 games but for the next 6 gws I'd see him as a great option.

He's very good but he's not as "explosive" in terms of FPL points as the others. He was consistently scoring last year but I think he only scored more than one in a couple of games. He doesn't hold the same captaincy potential as those guys so I'd have him a slight level below for that alone.

Sturridge is overpriced but could be worth over the next couple of months as Liverpool have a nice run. Falcao is a better striker but may not out score him by much in fpl as he won't get many assists.

Sturridge no longer has Suarez's assists nor his fantasy movement creating space for him. He is a good FPL player no doubt but i don't expect him to be as effective this year and therefore i feel he is overpriced. Considering that Costa is 0.5 and Aguero is only 1m dearer it is hard to justify having sturridge at this moment in time.

I agree with that but one thing in Sturridges favour is that he plays the full 90 mins every week(so far anyway). I think that gets overlooked a lot when weighing up players.

I disagree, Aguero rarily plays 90 mins but his PPG is still better. I actually think that balotelli could be a better pick if he behaves himself this year. Sturridge is a good player but he no longer plays alongside sturridge and honestly Sterling looks head and shoulders above him this year.

Before this year Sturridge had 9 goals in 9 games for Liverpool in the games suarez was banned for. They have 4 home games in the next 6 bar Everton at home all decent fixtures this is also linked in with their 2 easier cl games.

You disagree that playing 90 mins is better than being subbed?
I know Aguero has a better ppg but he'd have a better one if he wasn't subbed off.

That's a fair point about getting a massive captain score.

No i disagree that Sturridge can be favoured over Aguero due to more minutes. Aguero is more explosive and can score more points with less minutes.

If Aguero was nailed on for 90 mins each game there would be no contest in who would be the better pick. Likewise for Costa if he would be guaranteed the same playing time as Sturridge.

For me this year, the premium picks up front are Aguero and Costa. Others may fall into this category but they have yet to prove themselves.

Agree with above. Sturridge doesn't compare to either. If he was £10m-£10.5m there would be a debate.

is this sturridge debate over the course of the season or the next 6 fixtures. If its over the course of the season Id favour costa, aguero but would favour sturridge to atleast outscore one of them over the next 6 gws.
Costa swa H city A villa H Arsenal H Pal A Utd A. Chelsea also have their 2 toughest CL fixtures first out and Id see Remy eating into costa's gametime.
Aguero Arsenal A Chelsea H hull A villa A Spurs H wham A add in a really tough cl group
    Sturridge Villa H wham A Everton H WBA H Qpr A Hull H

If you take out Falcao's penalties (he probably won't be on them to start with), his scoring barely matches Sturridge's. Plus Falcao doesn't create and was posting these numbers in his peak years, you'd imagine, while Sturridge is only justing entering his. Falcao's basic stats were down last year despite moving down a league and that was before he blew out his knee.
