if you go to kick ass torrent on your mobile device you'll be promoted that there is a app available to download via pop up.

but I actually take back my earlier statement I downloaded T Torrent yesterday and after spending some time with it on two separate devices i must say its by far best torrent App I've used. It also has the built i search function and you can choose which sites it pulls the search results from, Would be nice if you could see comments too but thats only flaw

    Have a look at AutomateIT

haven't used any of the others, but AutomateIT is simple enough to use and from what I can see it does most things well.

personally i can think of one good use for this App, I see SMS with specific text can activate an action with this app, would be pretty handy if you lost your phone in your house or somewhere and it was on silent, set it up so an SMS with the text loud puts in on max volume.

Hi. Does anyone know of a (preferably open-source) audio player that marks (that is greys out) listened to audio files? I use MX at the moment but would like something lighter. Ta.

Automate it is brilliant. It eats the battery a little more though but imo totally worth it.

Anybody have a good app to download music? The simple mp3 one I got isn't great. Just all covers of every song...

From reading the reviews it seems it doesn't do enabling and disabling screen lock very well, but neither does Llama really.

With Rocket Player you can start a live playlist (auto-updating) or songs with a play count of 0, similar idea

Hi DS. I just want a simple no frills player that greys out fully played audio files (podcasts really) so I can see which ones are yet to listen to.

That's where my knowledge ends, I have no experience with Podcasts unfortunately. My solution may be a backwards way to achieve this, but I'm sure there's a straight up way.

    Beyond Pod does this.

I download podcasts to my PC and then convert them to .ogg (much smaller file size) and then copy the best ones to my phone so I just need an ordinary player. I find downloading podcasts from apps to be very slow.

Slower than downloading them on to your pc then converting them and then transferring them to your phone?

    Pocketcasts is pretty good imo.

Podcast Addict works for me - downloads are fast and if space is a concern you can stream too.

I noticed the below site from another thread on this forum. I think it's ok to mention it here, I've checked the play link for all the apps I've seen on it and they were all free so I don't think it's a piracy site.

It has the apk for lots of apps that we can't access from the Irish play store,BBC i player and other US TV network apps are there. I'm sure other apps that are only available to certain countries are there too.

Play music with subscription lets you save to the device, Spotify Premium does as well and if you are on Vodafone you can get Spotify Premium cheaper.

In relation to podcast apps. I'm using Antenna pod and find it excellent, the queue format really helps me keep track of what I have or have not listened to yet.

    This too shall pass.

New email client Boxer (well regarded on iOS, just launched on Android)

Use code AndroidPolice (case sensitive, enter after running app) to get free pro upgrade, worth €9.99.

The code won't work for long. :)

I don't think you need the code to get pro yourself. It just gives you 5 gifts of the pro version for friends I think.
